CHAPTER 30

CAROLINE'S POV

The long green grass under my feet felt damp from the rain. I heard distant laughters, and it belonged to...

My Dad

I went closer to the laughters and saw Mom and Dad sitting there with...

Me? The little me.

They -or should I say, we- were laughing and having sandwiches. I was sitting on dad's lap and he was tickling me. Mom was taking a video of us.

"Tickle, tickle" my Dad said

"Daddy! Stop" I said giggling

He carried me and walked around while mom was on the phone.

"Dad will we be like this forever" I asked

"What do you mean, princess?"

"Will we always go for picnics? Will you always carry me? Will we always be happy?" I asked smiling

My dad let out a wholehearted laugh. He put me down and kneeled in front of me. He held my little hands in his large ones.

"Caroline, one day everything will change. Everyone will change. I can't always carry you because you'll get bigger. We cant always go for picnics because we'll get busier." he said
