PART TWO

Reunited at last

I was walking back to my apartment after tanning at the party and I passed a porch with Katie and Hannah, I lifted my shoulder as I shrugged it softly, staring at them wearing my furrowed face.

I was stunned when I clearly saw Hannah's eyes watered in instant, she hiccup then stood up from her fall, I was about to call them when Hannah's following words made my mouth shut, "S-She's lucky tho, she always get what I want," she paused, "What I loved." Face full of sorrow, she wiped her tears using her left hand, she glanced up--- avoiding to burst more tears.

My gaze darted to her face. There were small cuts on her cheeks and dry blood on her bruised arm, I was completely disturb with her words and bruises. She sighed, a heavy one--- breaking the silence between them. She grappled another bottle beside her, and I'm a bit surprised when Katie didn't halt her from drinking. "I had enough for this day," She mumbled.

A breeze picked up the shoreline, wrinkling the water as the waves sparkled in starlight. The waves are still rough though they've still stayed inside the porch, drinking. "Do you know how have I been holding back my anger whenever I see her face?" She asked, laughing.

I frequently gazes off, my lower lip trembled when she tightened her jaw, angrily. I shifted my gaze on Katie's, worry snaked through her while staring at her friend's. I heaved a sigh. Who is she pertaining too? I shakes my head as I decided to walked pass by to the porch.

I crossed my arms over my chest when the gust cold wind from the ocean meets mine, the moment I closed my eyes the happenings earlier flashes back into my mind, that made me gasp for air. "Thieve Warriors?" I murmur as I gaze up, sighing. "He's a thief then?" I instantly shakes my head, trying to get rid of the thought who suddenly came into my mind.

Maybe there's an other term---- for them, yeah precisely.

I open my eyes to my scuffed-up room, which where I am staying previously for work purposes, I groaned as I stretched my arms upwards, I ran my fingers through my hair. I stood up as I widely opened the curtains of my room, smile plastered on my lips, "Good morning," I screamed--- hmm that feels good.

I squinted my eyes from the soaring light and I looked away, gazing to my kitchen place, I walked towards there and I open my fridge's door, scanning, what could I cook for breakfast? After a couple of minutes of deciding, I ended up cooking egg rolls. Time flies so fast, I didn't even notice that I've been staring at my window's for an hour! I gaze back to my plate I'm not yet done! But without hesitation I immediately stood up, I searched for my towel--- so I could took a bath.

Throughout the time, Archie suddenly called, informing me that Katie was inviting me over to the sunflower field, good thing mamaya pa 'yon 'coz I have a lot of agenda for this day, I seize the small crumpled paper from my bag. "I can't believe I'll be wasting my time going to the library." I murmur, I gasp as I turned back my gaze to the mirror. I'm currently standing in front of my lengthy mirror staring at my own reflection, I turned around to scan the outfit I've chose. A smile curved on my lips as I turned back to my bed's direction. I frowned as I saw a tons of clothes scattered to my bed.

"Why do I ended up cleaning instead of going out early, damn."

As soon as I finished folding my clothes I brag my ass out of my apartment. "Good noon Selene!" he raised his hand in greeting, I threw him my usual look as I gave him a dismissive wave, but in contempt of what I've acted towards him he still manage to curve his lips into a smile. I walked pass by to his and I continue tramping along the way. That was Charlie, my friend, I guess? Well I don't treat him as one of my 'friends' 'coz I knew that he has a secret desire for me. Lmao.

I took a deep breath as I took a another step forward, I instantly stopped when I heard Dennis' voice from afar. I cleared my throat before I screamed for his name, he immediately darted his gaze on me, waving his hand. "Hi!" Fresh energy filled me when I greeted him.

He gave me a slight smile, "So where were you heading?" He asked, casually.

I instantly pointed the library's direction, he darted his gaze there.

"Library?" He mumbled as he turned his gaze back on me wearing his furrowed face, he traipse his eyes into my head down to toes, I was so uncomfortable with his stares so I faked a cough.

"Bakit ganiyan ka makatingin?" I asked, peeping.

He shaked his head, "None, that's new." He blurted, as he walked away from me.

New? New what? I frowned as I followed him all the way there. Well, this is my first agenda.

I was so enthusiastic to find out their other definition into that words, so I have decided to go here. What I am doing now was totally weird, I'm a type of girl who are not fond of reading books, and everbody knows that! I shaked my head once, trying to concentrate.

"Thieve Warriors." I wshipered as I continue wandering along the shelves.

How am I going to find that kind of book if I'm not even familiar with this place? This place is quite huge, and I don't know where shelves should I start with, kaya dito ako nauna sa unahan.

"What took you so long," I instantly cop out the book I was holding.

I eyed him, "You startled me!"

He rolled his eyes as he darted his gaze on the book who fell from my hand, "It's been an hour Selene, what are you up to?" He asked as he uplift the book from the floor, he scanned the book before he turned his gaze on me, I mouthed him 'what'

He frowned as he scan the book again, "Nag-aaral ka ba kung paano magnakaw?" My eyes grew bigger of the sudden question, I immediately covered his mouth with my hand, eyeing him.

"What the hell Dennis?!" I hissed.

He gave me his emotionless expression as he threw my hands on the air, "You're so feisty, I was just asking!" He reasoned out.

I looked down as embarassment seared through me, he misunderstood and I wanted to freak out but I can't, he fold his arms as he eyed me with his stern look. "Enlighten me Selene." He whispered as he slighly waved the book infront of me.

I shoved the book away as I eyed him, "Fine." I sighed in defeat.

I took a deep breath before I spoke, I narrate all the circumtances we had last night, I even include the conversation I overhead last night while I was passing by to the porch. His reactions varied as I ended the 'chika'

"So you were interested?" He said teasingly.

I lift a brow, eyeing him. "With whom?"

He gave me a stern look, "Sa magnanakaw." He retorted as he reached for another book, I sighed.

"Judgmental ka dai." I commented, his brow rose up.

"Do I have to recall a Kindergarten lesson for you to understand, Selene?" He mumbled, shaking his head.

My eyebrow creased in confusion, what is he talking about?

"I am not being judmental here okay? I was just stating the fact, the boy whom caught your attention is a thief," He murmured.

The side of my lips rose up, but my frown expression changed when Dennis suddenly wave something on his hands, he looked at me, teasingly. "This was the book you were searching for, right?" He asked, I instantly nod as a response. "I've read this before." He paused. "And you weren't wrong."

My forehead furrowed, "Wrong about what?"

As we continued wandering around the sunflower field, large pillows of clouds move towards ours, slowly covering the sky with darkness. We instantly ran when we felt the driblets of rain drenched In our skin, in a distance my eyes immured a small porch, I motioned them to follow me, I manage to cover my head using my hands as we ran towards the porch, abruptly running.

"Sucks." Hannah groaned.

I heaved a sigh when I realize that my clothes are completely soaked in the rain. "This was my favorite---" Katie mumbled staring at her dress, I shaked my head, they were supposed to be doing their OTD photo shoot right now, but then unluckily it rained.

I traipse my eyes around the porch to find something to sit on, and thank god there is I tramp towards there as I brushed my palms together. "I thought this was a perfect day to do so," Hannah gingerly smile, Katie sighed as she sat down straight to the floor.

"Katie, your dress!" She exlaimed as her mouth hanged up for a second, Katie shifted her gaze on Hannah's, "There's no point it's already messed up, what a day!" She screamed the three last words, angrily gazing up, trying to control her temper, she sighed once again covering her face with a hand.

I jerked my head towards. "Hush, there's still t-tomorrow," I mumbled.

They didn't talked back instead they both gasp in irritation, while in the other hand--- Hannah wrapped her arms around her self.

Beads of rain continued spattering the whole field as bolts of lightning flashed through a misty clouds, the single gentle rain makes the grass many shades greener, as I roamed my eyes around I saw Hannah ended up sitting on the floor like what Katie does earlier, and unluckily we stayed up like that for an hour, "I think it ain't raining already, tara na baka umulan na naman," Katie's face softened after hearing those words from me, she stood up slowly so as Hannah but in just a snap.

"Hannah!" We both exclaimed when she lost her balance, and she raze down to the floor! Katie instantly ran towards hers, she caress her cheek as fear seared through her, "She has a fever!" She trailed off, I darted my gaze on her face and I saw how her cheeks turned to pink.

"Selene! What now?!" Her chest rose and fell with rapid breaths, I immediately bend down to help her, we tried to lift her up but she's too heavy to carry on, we both eyed each other, "C-Call Archie!" She shievered.

She put her hands on her lap, fear hit her like a icy water. I moved a bit to stroke her back, trying to comfort her but she refuses to---she avoided my hands that was about to land on her back, "I-Im okay," she mumbled softly, unable to gaze me. I just let out a sigh as I look down.

A few moments Archie came out from Hannah's room wearing his usual expression, Katie instantly stood up as she walked towards Archie's direction. "Tell me a fucking good news Villuaneva!" She squeak angrily, that made my eyes widened in instant, she's so feisty.

He chuckled as he put his hand on the air showing his defeat, "She's fine now, you're overreacting again Katie B." She gave him a slight punch causing him to groan, "What was that for?!" He ejaculated, caressing the arm where Katie hit her.

She didn't answered him instead she raised her eyebrows as she flash her gaze on me scanning my face down to my toes, "You can leave." She mumbled as she went inside Hannah's room.

My scalp prickled with shame as I looked down, "I'll get going." I was about to leave when he stopped me by grabbing my wrist, I lift my chin up trying to meet his gaze, his eyebrow creased as he saw my face. "Did something came up?" He asked, I shaked my head as I shoved his hand away from my wrist.

"I have a lot of works to do, see you when I see you." I instantaneously ran away from him, I didn't even bother to glance at him. I took a glance at my dress, woah I didn't know that running is worth for drying clothes. Over an hour of walking I accidentally bumped into Diana.

"Hi! Where are you up to?" She asked as she roam her eyes around my clothes, the side of lips rose up. "And where have you been?" She traipse.

I chuckled, "It rained, and we got soaked in the rain." I retorted, she slightly nod as she pulled something from her back, I lifted my brow trying to peak at it but then she already faced me, "I see, it didn't rained here though we're going to the border," my eyes grew bigger.

I lean towards her as I whispered, "What are you gonna do?" I asked, suspiciously. She chuckled as she showed me the thing she was pulling awhile ago.

"They wanna offer a gift--- a sign of peace rather." She bend down, stroking the sheep's head. "Senior was searching for you but you're no where to be found, you're the one who should be doing this, but it's okay though." She smiled.

The corner of my mouth quirked up as I bowed a bit. "I'm sorry, I completely forgot." I reasoned out, she stood up as she curve her lips into a smile.

"So, are you coming?" heat curled down to my spine as I nod thrice as if I'm a kid.

She chuckled as she gestured me to follow them, she is clasping the sheeps leash's and she's clutching them all the way to the borders line. My body sizzled of a sudden excitement, this is my chance to took a glimpse on the other line. "We're here!"

We instantly stopped when we reached the borders line, "Any minute now they'll arrive," she retorted. I just nod as response. "Wait--- where's the other one?" She asked herself, my forehead creased.

"Pardon?"

"Nawawala 'yong isa!" She exclaimed, I slope my head, speculating what she is blabbering about.

"Nawawala ang alin?" I appealed.

She didn't response me alternately she conveyed me the sheeps bridle, "I have to find the other sheep!" She screech as she sprint away from here, i gesticulated my shoulders as I bent down to groped the sheeps head.

I jerked my head towards the line, I took a pace forward to took a glance inside, but I couldn't see anyone--- unlike last night. I gasp for air as I've decided to took a another pace forward, but all of sudden I halt my foot to take another pace when the sheep suddenly made a noise. I hurtled my gaze to the sheeps, shushing them.

I shaked my head as I turned back my gaze towards the line, I almost cop out the bridles when I saw someone standing infront of me I coundn't clearly see his face, so I manage to take a pace forward.

I gobbled as I wheezed, taking a pace behind. "W-Who are you?"

He didn't respond alternately he took a pace forward, revealing his face.

I gasp, in instant I felt something strange inside me, it feels like I was longing for him, longing for his touch and embrace.

I pinned him with my eyes as deside percolated within me, I tramp towards the border's line.

Instantly, awe transformed in his face as he took a pace forward.

"My search is finally over." He murmured.

I took another pace forward, and it's late for me to realize that I already crossed the line and I felt the warm breeze, but I didn't bother instead I faced him, my knees eventually throbbed when he softly caressed my cheek with his hand. "I knew It was you." He paused. "Finally I found you."

I smiled and was about to utter a word when suddenly my body raze down to the grond, gasping for air, his eyes widened in instant as he cop my head, and before I even closed my eyes I saw him shouting, begging for a help.
