WARNING: GRAMMATICAL AND TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS AHEAD!
I didn’t get to sleep right after our conversation, my eyes were completely unlatched the entire day, gawking at nihility. I never thought that I'll be facing this huge trouble neither I didn't see this coming.
I deeply sighed as I perched onto my bed, resting my head onto my hands, I'm so doomed.
"Miss." I instantly lift my chin up as soon as I heard someone calling me, my heart thumped so fast as soon as I've figured out who is it. I manage to reach for my slippers but he halt me from doing that.
"You don't have to do that." He insisted.
I gulped as I nod my head twice, he sat across my direction giving me his brooding look but I immediately gaze off.
He's one of our tribe leader– Elmo, he's our own tribe lawyer, I wouldn't get surprised if my 'boss' isn't the one who came here. He's a busy man and he doesn't have time dealing with this mess.
He took off his watch as he seize something from his suitcase. "So I must say that you're completely aware why I am here," He said, gazing me. "Don't you?" He continued.
I slowly nod.
"And you've must've knew the consequences." My forehead creased in confusion as I looked at him.
I shook my head, I don't know anything 'bout our punishments here, I mean why should I know 'bout those things if I didn't even expected that I'll be crossing that darn border. I closed my eyes for a few seconds before I open it again gazing straight to Elmo's eyes.
"Spill it Elmo."
He lifted up his chin as soon as he heard me calling out for his name, he gave me a smirk, leaning backwards.
"Could you say it again?" He teasingly said.
I shoot him my sharp look, threatening him.
"I'm not playing aroun---"
"So am I." He said cutting off my words.
I rest my arms onto my chest as I lean backwards, “What are the consequences then?” I asked once again.
He lifted up his brows, intertwining his own fingers.
“So as you know, I haven’t agreed any of this.” He said as he slammed something in front of me.
“You were sentenced to marry the Amaranthine's tribe leader.”
My eyes grew bigger.
“What?! You’re not in the position to decide!” I protest.
“You made us decide on things we shouldn’t be. I don’t make rules, I follow them. Like what I’ve said earlier, I haven’t agreed any of this. So don’t gave me that stern look of yours.” He mumbled.
I rolled my eyes in irritation as I shoot a gaze on the papers I was holding.
"Uh, I forgot to tell you, I heard that there will be a huge battle later." I creased my forehead.
"So?"
"Aren't you worried?"
"About what?"
"About the guy whom you've seen at the border."
I accidentally unclasp the papers I was holding, I gaze him.
"I bet It'll take long." He said. " 'Coz you're the prize."
_
I slowly opened my eyes, blinking twice. Trying to reminisce the happenings.
“You’re awake.”
It ain’t easy for me to lift my chin up, I wanna take a look at the guy who just spoke, but I failed. I remained silent, looking down straight to the floor.
“Is he still unconscious? Wake him up!” He angrily commanded.
My body immediately straightened when one of his men hit me, and now I am able to figure out who it is. I guess I wasn’t wrong at all, nobody has the nerve to do this expect from him.
“You’ve slept enough.” He mumbled.
Yes, I’ve slept enough to gather strong energy to punch you asshole. I wanted to say that but my mouth doesn’t want to. I am so thirsty.
He harshly grab my jaw, forcing me to face him, I didn’t protest neither I didn’t halt him from doing it. Instead I looked him straight to the eyes.
“What do you want?” I instantly asked.
He faked a laugh, still gripping my jaw. But then suddenly his expression changed.
“You knew.”
“I’ll let you have the gem when you would won against me.” He said as he threw something. He was about to turn his back when I spoke.
“She was never yours to begin with, stop living with your lame fantasies."
