Chapter 4

Jason Pov

==============================Flashback Start===============================

My name is Jason Claud, 28. I never trust anyone, but for some reason, the people I meet today are slowly making the feeling that I used to yearn for it but not anymore. My right eye has a scar, but I can still see. I received that scar in a tragic incident, I can be expressive, but they are not my true ones.

At a young age, I lost my right eye and parents as they were brutally massacred by a man with a flower tattoo called Lycoris at the back of his right hand. The Flower Lycoris has another name called the Spider Lily which means death. Furthermore, he had stitches around his neck as if he had been beheaded and then put back together again. I couldn't see his face as shadows obscured it.

After he had decapitated both of my parents, their heads slowly rolled towards me, creating a bloodbath. He slowly stepped towards me, and I could see from his cold, soulless eyes that I was next. He gradually raised his hand, gripping onto his knife before forcefully thrusting it towards my neck. Petrified, I moved slightly, so the blade reached my right eye, resulting in me sacrificing my right eye instead of my neck. I was very thankful and petrified. I mean, what exactly did you expect from a 5-year-old.

He grunted, annoyed, as he missed. Instead, he stabbed my thigh to prevent me from running away. I attempted to crawl away from him, still facing him. I remembered in every movie I've watched, once your back is towards your enemy, that's when you are truly dead. Every time I crawled away, he took a step towards me silently. Every time he took a step, it made me afraid to the point that I felt a shiver down my spine. Every time I crawled, blood started to drip out of me, leaving a trail. The pain was too much, but I realised that the killer would kill me if I didn't move.

Just as I thought of that, my back smacked into the wall with no path of escape. I tried to move to the side when he crouched down to my eye level and leaned closer towards me.

"Are you finished?" he whispered coldly, lifting my chin.

I trembled and whimpered as he brought his knife closer to my neck, the cold metal surface grazing my neck.

"I thought we would play more.", he said. " But it doesn't matter. I'll make it quick. Don't worry. It'll be over before you know it."

He then raised his knife, ready to slash my neck. I quickly shut my eyes tightly, tears sliding down my cheeks, hoping it would end soon. But, even if I survived, everyone was all gone.

THUMP!

"THUMP...?" I wondered what that sound was as I didn't feel anything towards my neck. I slowly opened my eyes, scared of what would be in front of me. However, when my eyes were open, I saw a boy, around 13 years old.

At that moment, the moon emerged from the night clouds and shone through the windows on him as if God had sent an angel to help me. He had short black hair like the night, captivating sea-blue eyes, and a pretty face with a concerned expression that made him seem even more like an angel. He crouched down to my eye level.

"Are you okay?" he asked. "Don't worry. He's not going to hurt you anymore."

He made me burst into tears because of how grateful I was that he saved me.

"Come on! We have to get out of here!" he murmured while glancing around the room.

I did not budge. There wasn't a point because no one I love was here. I was all alone. I burst into tears even more. In the middle of my crying, the boy who had saved me was trying to calm me down. Therefore, he had let his guard down, unaware of the murderer behind him. When he did realise it was too late, so he hugged me, protecting me, resulting in a cut across his back, a blanket of blood covering his back.

"I'm glad you're fine.", he whispered.

I looked up at him with more tears in my eyes, but the killer was no longer there neither was the boy who saved me. There was nothing but flashes of red and blue flickering from the window. I was left alone till the police came and took care of me.

"PUT YOUR HANDS UP. IT'S THE POLICE."

"you are okay now."

Therefore, I vow to find the boy who saves me and repay him and find the killer with the lycoris flower so I could take my revenge and avenge my parent. I know it's not going to make them come back. Still, I want them to be able to ascend to the afterlife peacefully.

===============================Flashback End===============================

I choked on my saliva because the boy calls Teo looks exactly like the boy who saves me, but it couldn't have been him because he's so much younger than me, so it must have been a mistake. Although I wish I had asked my saviour his name. But were are probably never going to see each other again, and I doubt he would have remembered me.

Damon dragged me off of Vincenzo Lap and took me to the cafeteria, where there are many disgusting leeching men around but waiting to jump on me. Still, when Damon appears behind, they immediately retracted their hand if they didn't do that. So immediately know if I wanted to survive here, I need Damon, but that means I have to find out who he is and his status here. I mean, I know that he's more powerful than everyone else here, but everyone else is more powerful than me.

Oh, did I forget to tell you that I'm here because I was hunting to kill the murderer with Lycoris on the right hand, but I could not find him! Each day I couldn't find him. I became crazier until I saw a male who had a Lycoris on his arm. My eyes went red with the intent to kill it to reduce my intention for the hunt. I know it was wrong, and I shouldn't do it, but it was so satisfying when my knife slides the male neck, and blood started to spill out. My desire for revenge was like a drug, and these unfortunate civilians with Lycoris were my medicine.
