"Hey, Jas."
"Jasmine?"
"Jasmine Browne!" Gian shouted to get Jasmine's attention.
"Are you calling me?"
"Yes, for three times."
"Oh gosh, I'm sorry." Jasmine brushed her hair using the tip of her fingers because of frustration.
"You're daydreaming again, Jas. You need to focus, WE need to focus. We only have a week to prepare for the upcoming examination. Sorry to pressure you but you need to let go of what you saw on the library." She just remained silent and nodded before she went back to studying.
She can't get the thing she saw on the library out of her system. Maybe Gian was right. Maybe she was just seeing things but the thing that the gem inside the orb glowed infront of her, awaken her curiousity.
.
"You look so exhausted." As soon as they arrived in Jasmine's apartment, she immediately ran towards the sofa and lied down.
She used too much of her energy today. Gian was glad when Jasmine stopped bothering about the orb she saw.
"Why wouldn't I? I just read uncountable pages. It's too much for my brain to handle. I really need to take a nap." Gian sat beside her while she was lying down. He reached for her lips and gave a peak of kiss.
"Jas..." He called her and took one of her hand.
"Hmm?"
"I just want you to remember that what matter happens. You are the only thing in this world that I precious the most." Jasmine began to have teary eyes. She never heard Gian to say something like that before.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
When Jasmine fell to sleep. Gian took a blanket and covered half of Jasmine's body with it.
He stared at her face for a few moment before he stood up and went to the refrigerator and took a can of beer.
While drinking, he blankly look at the full moon outside the terrace. He closed his eyes as if the moon was talking to him.
He then open his eyes and just expected, he saw two full moon. The one that just appeared started to turn into color red. He's the only person on earth can see it.
"Sorry, Father. I still can't go back, yet."
.
The next day was weekend and as soon as Jasmine woke up, she didn't saw any sign of Gian.
She thought that maybe he went home after she fell asleep. Her eyes, then landed on the wall clock and realized it was already 9 in the morning.
She immediately stood up, fix herself and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth.
"Shit, groceries!" She exclaimed when she saw her refrigerator was empty except for the canned beers and soda.
.
She took parsley, paprika, cup noddles, instant coffee, snacks, fruits, lettuce, and scallions into her cart.
Jasmine didn't bother to take a shower before heading to the supermaket.
She roamed around a little bit, looking for the things she need. She stopped on the healthcare department and went to take a toothbrush.
The corner of her lips rose because of amazement. She was eager to buy all of the toothbrush because of the cute puppy imprinted on it as a design. The toothbrushes has many different colors making you hard to decided on which one will you pick.
While choosing. Jasmine suddenly felt uneasy like someone was staring at her.
She looked around and see no one was staring at her. There are only few people inside the supermarket and she only saw a woman on her late 60's looking seriously at the two bottles on her hand, deciding which one to pick.
Jasmine just shrugged and picked the green toothbrush before walking towards the cashier.
.
It was a crowded, windy saturday. Jasmine was holding two large paper bags and make her way out of the supermarket.
She decided to take the subway, so she can save money than riding a taxi. She's a waitress and a cook on a famous restaurant. She works at Valence Grill every sunday.
Jasmine needs to wait for few more minutes before she can enter the subway because of so many passengers waiting on the line.
She was glad when she found herself a seat immediately after she entered the subway. While the train was running, she put the paper bags on the floor and took her phone out of her pocket.
"Is he busy?" She whispered when Gian didn't answer the call.
When the train stopped. Jasmine got out of the train with no trouble but while heading home. She bumped into a tall guy wearing a black and thick jacket.
The paper bags fell into the ground. The man helped her pick up the groceries. Jasmine didn't saw the man's face because she was busy grasping the fallen things.
"Thank you." She said with pleased.
"Always welcome." The man's voice brought shivers to her.
She looked up to see the man's face but she saw nothing. She turned around and her eyes widen in shock. She could also feel her heartbeat began to raise when she saw the back of the man, whose walking away from her.
She held the paper bags with a strong grip before running to catch the man.
Jasmine must be sure that it's him. The man who keep on flashing inside her head. The man with the blue eyes.
She stopped running. She was blocked by people who are walking. It's very crowded to run in a such a very small side walk.
Jasmine sight was locked on his back. She don't want to lost the sight of him. He might disappear like the orb did. The man was walking towards the subway and when the crowds began to decrease, Jasmine finally got a chance to run and catch him.
She was so close that she can almost grab his hand when someone suddenly pulled her her from the elbow.
She look to see who it was and then she saw Gian who was panting.
"I've been looking for you. I'm glad that you're safe." He pulled her into a hug.....a tight hug.
Jasmine was confused of his actions. She can feel Gian's nervousness because of his body was shaking.
When Gian released her from hugging, she looked around to find the mysterious man but she saw nothing but a blank railway.
"Did you saw him?"
"Saw what, Jas?"
"The man with the black jacket. A tall man, a 6-footer or more. The color of his hair are...black...and brown, combined." She described, causing Gian to have a questionable look.
"As I ran towards you. I saw nothing but that railway behind you, Jas."
"I-i don't understand. I saw him! I even bumped into him and he helped me pick up the groceries. I heard his voice. It's impossible that he's not real." Gian sighed and scratched his eyebrows.
"Then, where is he?" Jasmine didn't answerred.
"We should just go home." They are about to walk out of the subway station when Jasmine stopped him.
"How did you even know that I was here? You didn't answerred your phone when I was calling you and why do you seems to feel uneasy? Is there something wrong, Gian?"
