Chapter 8

Finally school was done and over with for today. I don't think I could be anymore happier. One more day and this week will be done. God I cannot wait.

But I am more excited for going home. Me and Amelia were in her car going to my house to get ready for her date.

As we went home the first person who approached us was my mother. She was a really kind soul who loved to meet new people unlike me.

For me it took time to make friends but once I did, they were stuck with me forever. Pretty ironic saying that because it did not take even a week for me to become very close with Amelia and Austin. That's because they forced themselves into your lives. I chuckled inwardly at that.

My mom and Amelia began talking about things they were interested in. Apparently gardening was one of it and I knew that my mom would kill her by talking about it and decided to interrupt them.

"Okay ladies I think you need to stop because Amelia here has a date to get ready for" I announced.

They agreed and we walked to my room.

As soon as we reached up I decided to call Cassie first. It was around 4 and we had 3 hours to get ready as Peter was coming to pick her up at 7. And I knew that it would be early to wake Cassie up. But I had already given her a heads up yesterday.

She picked the call at the third ring and began to squeal softly.

"What is wrong with you woman" I asked.

"Well I am excited to meet the girl that clearly brought you out of your personal bubble." She chucked.

"Hey. I wasn't in my personal bubble. and Austin did that too but I had you" I defended myself.

"Sure you weren't. " She said and at that I rolled my eyes.

"Okay now where is my Amelia" she asked.

"My Amelia"I asked raising an eyebrow at her.

"Yeah whatever" . Amelia chucked at her and I turned the camera toward Amelia and sat beside her.

"Hey Cassie" Amelia said

"It's actually Marianne. Sophie just likes to call me by my middle name. I have been dying to meet you and now I finally did. Wow. You look so gorgeous. You are so pretty. Omg I think I am going to cry because of your beauty. It hurts to look at you now" she says dramatically.

Ohh god I sigh. This girl is going to be the death of me.

"Cassie shut up. I am sure you are making her uncomfortable so shut up."I say.

"Nahh I don't mind. I freely welcome compliments. I don't have all this and maintain it just for fun" she says gesturing to her body .

"That's my girl" Cassie praises her.

"Look you need to learn from her Sophie." Cassie scolded.

"Yeah whatever" I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah keep rolling them and maybe you will find your brain back there." She snickered along with Amelia.

"Ohh god how are we friends again" I ask.

"Well that's an amazing story that I would love to tell. We met when we were in 5th grade-"

I cut her off " enough. You are not telling that story now. I will not allow you to do so."

"Now I definitely want to know " Amelia says.

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"Ohh shut up already. I am going to say it. It's fine soph. No one will be judging you for it . You were a kid after all" she grinned.

I glared at her shooting daggers her way. And she did not budge and began the story.

"Well the first time we met was in a park. We were 10 years at that time. And Sophia was new to school. I had seen her around a few times. But she mostly kept to herself. But that day at the park. I asked her to play with me and she hesitantly agreed . While we were playing she fell down and hurt herself it was a small hurt but she began crying" she looked at me and paused.

"She was such a baby back then" I huffed at that.

"I tried to get her up but she did not get up and cried more. I was fed up of it and told her to shut it and get up. She was shocked but followed and I helped her clean up. And we began playing and we were attached to the hip from then. We loved to spend time with each other. We always went to the park later on. every week we went there at least once."Cassie finished.

I almost had tears in my eyes and I could see she was emotional too. But I did not want to bring up anything as today was Amelia's day and I did not want to spoil it.

"Awww" was Amelia's reply to it.

"I wish I had such a friendship." She said dreamily.

"Well you have us now. Come on its time to get ready for your date. We need to seriously blow Peter's mind away. But since I suck at fashion. We have Cassie here who is going to help you" I said.

"Okay now come on show me your dresses" Cassie asked.

{AN:- I suck at fashion and stuff so I do not know how to explain the dresses but I tried. And for your imagination I will post their pictures due to my very bad explaining skills.}

Amelia removed the dresses from her bag. The first one was a blue colour dress which ended above her knees. It was not exactly sleeveless but it was only one shoulder

The second dress was a slight nudish- golden colour with designs. It had a gold band at the waist. It was sleeveless and the neckline was cut deep.

The third dress was almost similar to the previous one but it was in black colour and had no band. But it had a cut till the thigh.

Ohh god I thought to myself. All these dresses are so beautiful.

"Well okay. It is really difficult to choose now. Because all these dresses are beautiful but in the end I say it's either the black one or the gold one." Cassie decided.

"Okay. What do you say Sophia" she asked looking at me.

"Hey don't ask me it's your date and Cassie is helping you. I already have bad taste" I said.

"Hey please just say which one is the best" Amelia pleads.

I give up and say.

"Okay the black one"

"Yes. I was rooting for that" Amelia says.

I laugh at that and Cassie begins her normal lecture and stuff on accesories.

She made her wear a black choker and black strap heels. And a black clutch.

"And now for your hair and make-up. Look I am no god at it but I can manage. And you will not look bad so trust me " I said and began her hair.

I wasn't very good at this stuff but staying with Cassie made me learn all of these things.

I straightened her hair. And applied make up. I did not want to over do it. But I gave her a smokey eye and applied a little lipstick.

When I finished I took her to the mirror. She did not speak for a while and I frowned.

" Woah" she said.

"I look 'not like me'. " She said.

"Glad you liked it" I said.

"You look beautiful Amelia" Cassie shouted from the camera.

"Thank you Marianne" Amelia replied.

It was already 6:50. So we began taking pictures of Amelia. She was really looking so beautiful. I would have taken her on a date too. But sadly I don't swing that way.

Ten minutes later. Right on time Amelia's phone rang. And she said her goodbye to me and Cassie and we cut the call and she left. I saw through the window that Amelia was blushing at something Peter said.

Huh she got lucky I thought to myself. The thought of guys sometimes got my blood boiling I hate them. They are not capable of love . But everyone will not be the same right. I thought to myself . Maybe a little Andrew Garfield will cheer me up I thought and decided to switch on the tv

No Sophie you will not dwell on the past anymore. You are far away from them and they are assholes. The only people you love from India is Cassie and that's enough. The others are assholes.

I thought to myself and walked down the stairs to maybe go around the neighborhood. I might find an amazing hiding spot.

I went down and saw my mother was there along with my father watching tv. Aww I thought to myself looking at them. They were so cute together. I just wish that I would find someone like that in my life. And I wish that I would let go of the things they said to me. For years they said things that I now believe but I still wish.

What is wrong in having a little hope right??. Ohh yeah it can be the thing that gets your heart broken.

I walked to my parents as I tried to shake these thoughts off my head.

" Mom Dad ,can I go out for a while. I just want to discover this place a little" I asked a little hopeful.

They thought for a while and allowed me to go , warning me that I should be back before 10 as it was already 7:30.

I plugged my earphones and let my music play and began walking . I slowly came about woods in the area. I walked further to see what might be there. Even though there was a chance of some creature being here that could kill me. Maybe a warewolf or a vampire. Shut up Sophie you need to stop watching teen wolf and vampire diaries.

As I was about to turn back I saw a clearing and there was a cliff. And who I saw at the cliff left me breathless.
