The Interview

Rayah just stands there. She doesn't move.

"Ahem." I clear my throat.

Still no response. Instead she seems distracted, gazing into the distance.

"What are you staring at?" I ask irritatedly as I turn around.

"Hello sis." Kaedan says.

Erlan bows and Kaedan pats him on the shoulder in response.

Out of the corner of my eyes I see Rayah blink rapidly as she tries to get out whatever trance she was under just a few minutes ago. "Your highnes-ss." She stutters then she gives my brother a Yavannian greeting and bows.

Oh what do we have here? I smirk to myself, clearly amused.

Kaedan barely acknowledges her in his haste to give me a kiss on the cheek.

One on the left and then the right.

"You look amazing Kari."

"Thank you, brother." I smile and proceed to move forward only to discover Rayah's still in the way.

I cock a brow at her and my smile instantly vanishes and I'm sure she got the message because she quickly moves to the side.
