Those stories had filled me with fear. The type of fear that lived within you and grew with you. The fears that turned into shadows, following right behind you.

The fear of who I was, and what I was capable of.

That fear. 

Of being hated.

They hated me. I knew it because I heard the stories they told of people like me... People who had one foot in the real world, and another foot in the shadow world. 

I was one of them. A mlezi. I didn't know what would outrage my people more... Being a spirit of dark element or their princess?

Whatever their reaction was, I knew my days were numbered in this kingdom.

Kamaria And The Shadows.

Adisa turned around to see the scene behind her. Unlike me, she was not affected by what she saw. She rolled her eyes with a groan that carried irritation. All I could do was cry and plead with the steelman. 


"I will kill her, and even if you do manage to kill me. I will wake from the dead and kill her!" He pointed his finger at me. 


"Then there will be just the two of us... Let see how many ways you can find to kill me." His gruff, masculine voice was rather tense. There was no hesitation in the way he spoke. Every single word he had said was clear. 


"Adisa!" I shouted, shaking my head from side to side while placing my hand in front of my mouth in horror. I'd witnessed Lesedi die in his hand, although the tears were fake, but the terror was real. 


"Tumi is also FAMILY. Please, don't let her die. I cannot watch her die." I shook my head from side to side as I pleaded with my sister. 


How could I have left Tumi alone here?
