CHAPTER 23

Unknown to Deborah, the monster she had beaten up,got up,and began to walk away,secretly.

"I'll deal with you.Let me get the others".

The monster left.

Deborah still didn't accept what the people were telling her.

Instead, she was still putting her hope in Reed,telling the people to believe her.

" I'll speak to Reed,and...and he'll listen".

"My child!,Reed is very stubborn!. He won't listen", Granny cried out,trying to make her understand.

" I remember when your grandfather was begging him to stop the evil he was doing, but he refused. He is very very stubborn. He won't listen to you,when its something important to him",Granny added.

Deborah could see the seriousness in Granny's eyes.She could see the fear in her,and it was terrible.

Deborah didn't want Granny to loose hope,so she said to her,"Whether he listens or not,he will have to stop,because I'll make him",she looked determined.

Unexpectedly, a big net,fell on some people and covered them up.It almost got Deborah, but she rolled away quickly.

"Granny!!", she shouted.

The net began to go up,carrying the people,very high.

" That's the intruder!",Deborah heard from behind.

She turned back and saw so many monsters, coming towards her.

Quickly, she carried her sword and charged at them without fear.

Meanwhile, Reed was busy showing his monsters his new plans,on what he wants to build at the middle of the land.

The monsters were nodding their heads and mumbling among themselves. Seeing his plan as a good idea.

The prince,Esther and Lucy,stood close by to see what Reed was doing,which the prince found boring.

"Why did I come here in the first place?", he yawns,a fake one.

" Shh!",Esther shushed him,checking whether Reed heard him.

She looks at him and said in a low voice,"Be careful my prince.If Reed hears you,he'll turn all his plans on your head,and that's where he'll start his building ".

The prince scoffed and said,folding his arms and looking at him," I just hate him.He's a cheater.He cheats others, like me".

"Really?,that's funny", Esther said,with a sign of laughter on her face.

Lucy was busy,staring at Reed,waiting for him to turn his eyes to her side.But no luck.

She tried different movement, but he still didn't look.

She became annoyed and just leaned against a wall," Why won't he look?",she asked herself angrily.

Just as she was asking herself a stupid question, Reed suddenly turned his eyes to her direction.

"Oh my!!", she exclaimed ,as her body began to shiver," He's looking at me,Finally! ",she shrieked.

But she later became upset,seeing that he was looking round the room,and not her.

Reed was looking for Deborah.He wondered if she was still upset with him for what he did earlier.

" Is she still angry with me?",he thought to himself, looking somehow unhappy.

He turned his attention back to his monsters,then back again,looking for Deborah.

He was beginning to feel bored,and decided to go and meet Deborah outside.Thinking she was angry with him.

He was about to leave,after excusing himself, when a monster came in with speed,panting.

"What happened?,why are you sweating like this?", Reed asked,looking at the monster.

The monster stood well and complained to him," There's an intruder in our land.She's trying to set the prisoners free".

Shocked,Reed dashed out of the building to see for himself.

The others followed.Curious to know who it was.

"Finally!,something entertaining", the prince said,following too.

Deborah dealt with almost all the monsters.She injured some and killed some of them,that tried to attack the remaining people.

A monster came with his axe to chop her head off.

Quickly, Deborah dodged the axe,rolled under and stabbed the monster at the back.

The people in the net where screaming for help,because the monster holding the rope,had drawn the rope so high,and he was planning of releasing it,so that they'll all fall down and die.

Deborah heard their cries,and rushed to help,but was blocked by three hefty cyclops.

They were all holding swords,and they used it to block her.

Deborah wanted to manoeuvre her way out,when her sword flew out from her hand,straight up.

" What?",she wondered.

The monsters' swords too flew up,and moved to their left side.

Deborah looked at where her sword was going to,and saw Reed.

He was the one that seized it with his power.

He looked round,seeing all the mess,and wondered what caused the fight and the mess.

He looked at his front,and saw Deborah. She was happy to see him.

"Reed!", she called out and rushed to him.She smiled at him and said,pointing the monsters.

" Reed...these monsters are tormenting this people.They are making them work so hard.Pls tell them to stop",she begged.

Silent.

Reed looked round at all the disaster that had taken place.

He's mood began to change. And it wasn't friendly nor was it nice at all.

He looks back at Deborah, who was expecting him to saw something to the monsters.

But instead,she was the one left shocked at his words.

"Who gave you the right to tell my men not to work?", he asked her furiously.

Shocked, Deborah's eyes widened, still looking at him.

And that was the time that the prince,Esther and Lucy showed up.

Lucy was happy on seeing Reed's reaction towards Deborah," Now she'll get a taste of her own medicine ",she smiled like a witch.

" Reed!",Deborah called,still looking astonished.

Reed then roared at her,planting fear in her,"Who gave you the right?!".

"You've destroyed almost all my work, just because of this useless people".

" This people are living things and not useless".

"But they're nothing to me!", he yelled at her.

Esther and the prince were shocked.

Lucy was excited.

Deborah couldn't believe her ears.The way he was shouting at her still shocked her.

" I'll make sure my work is completed here today.And you better stay out",he added,about to leave.

"I won't stay out!", Deborah said out loudly, stopping Reed.

He looks at her,and said," Don't get on my nerves ,or you won't like me".

" Really?!,I shouldn't get on your nerves?",Deborah asked.She scoffs,"What are you?,guy dangerous?, I shouldn't get on your nerves or I won't like it?, No".

She shakes her head side ways,smiles at him and asked him,"If you claim to be so dangerous and mean,like the way you're doing now,why did you cure my people then? ".

Reed scoffs and said," I won't let them die an easy death.That will be so unfair to me.I prefer watching them die in my own hands".

Shocked,Deborah stared at him in disbelief. Is this the same Reed that was laughing with her earlier or a different Reed?.

He then said,turning his back at her,"Believe me when I say this,I've planned something so horrifying for your people,more than this people here".

He began to walk away, while Deborah kept on staring at him.

The prince couldn't believe his ears, "So this demon has planned to destroy my people?,I'll kill him", he wanted to go and meet him.

Quickly, Esther held him back and begged," Pls don't go,right now he's furious. You know your life is still precious to everyone.So pls!",she begged.

Reed hadn't gone far,when the monster holding the rope asked him,"Master!,what should I do with this garbage? ".

Reed looked up at the people.

Deborah wanted to hear what he'll say,as she stood quietly listening.

He looked at the monster and said," Let them fall to their death",he said coldly.

Shocked,Deborah almost collapsed on hearing that from his mouth.

The monster was excited, as he said,jingling the rope,while the people screamed,"Bye bye garbage ".He released the rope.

"NO!!", Deborah shouted and rushed to save the people.

Reed heard her shout,and turned to look.

She got hold of her sword,aimed it on the monster like an arrow,killing him.

Quickly,she grabbed the rope.

" Ahh!",she screamed,as the rope almost pulled her too.

The net had almost reached the ground at that time,but thanks to Deborah, they were still alive.

She hooked her leg to a rock,bringing the net down slowly,with all her strength.

Her veins were showing, as she struggled not to let go.

The monsters were angry,except those that came from the castle, they were worried about Deborah.

"Should we stop her Master?!", a monster asked,looking hungry to kill.

Reed looked at Deborah, then he said," Go ahead".

Roaring loudly,as if they where on a battlefield,they charged to stop her.

"Yes yes yes!!!,best day ever!", Lucy screamed excitedly, watching everything,while hiding for her dear life.

Deborah saw the monsters coming.How to stop them at the same time save the people,was a problem.

Luckily for her, The Prince and Esther came to help her.

" Don't worry,we'll hold them off",The Prince said confidently.

The monsters came close,and the battle began.

The prince and Esther were fighting them,trying to stop them from hurting Deborah.

Esther even tried,despite the fact that she didn't learn that well,but the zeal could be seen in her.

Deborah finally got the people down.She removed her hands from the rope and began to breathe heavily.

She got herself, grabbed her sword from the dead monsters body,and joined her friends to deal with all the monsters.

They were fighting all the monsters non stop, and it angered Lucy.

"Why does she always do this?At least die for me", she stamped her feet vehemently.

The prince was dealing with some monsters when his eyes met Reed.

He wasn't looking at him back.Instead he was focused on Deborah.

" That scoundrel! ",he said,piercing his sword into the monster in front of him.

He turns His attention to Reed,who was still watching Deborah.

He sneaked from behind,slowly, so that he won't notice him,and he swooshed his sword towards Reed's head.

Unexpectedly, Reed bent down quickly, allowing the sword to pass his head.

The prince was surprised. He was about to question himself, in his thought,'How did he know?'.But couldn't.

Reed serviced him with a lower punch to the chest, pushing him back a little.

He placed his hand on his chest,feeling the pain seriously. He charged again at Reed,who brought out his sword and began to fight with the prince.
