Double Trouble

Noah's POV

Three pm on the same day. Noah speed walks in the door of University School where his twin boys Kaiden and Laden attended. They are in the same first grade class. Mr Adams was waiting behind with the two busy bodies left behind.

"For your information Dr. Martin, it would be nice if you pick up your children promptly at two forty-five pm."

"I was held back by a late appointment, Mr. Adams. I will make sure that I will be on time here on out. I also like to remind you that I give this school a lot of money over the amount you require for my sons attending here." Noah barely kept this anger in check. Mr Adams didn't push the issue. Kaiden looked over his shoulder at his father, their eyes were hazel like dads' too.

"Dad we are the last ones left," he fussed.

"Yeah we should be almost home by now!" Laden agreed, dragging his body down off the chair next to Kaiden.

Noah pulled his hand down over his beard in frustration while sighing. He really didn't didn't want to hear their two cents today of all days. He forced himself to cheer up.

"Hey guys? I got take-out from your favorite restaurant today."

"Yay!!" They yelled in unison. They walked down the short hallway to leave the building.

"Hey dad? I know you are trying hard for us. I'm sorry that I made you sad. We miss mom too." Kaiden said to me out of the blue.

Laden shook his head yes in agreement. I smiled and rubbed both of their heads. We got out of the building to the dark blue Lincoln Navigator sitting in the round about driveway. I buckled them in booster seats in the back once in the truck.

"I will not be able to live my life without you both." I said. They both looked at me with a smile. I climbed in and drove for thirty minutes outside of the city to home. The house was two stories but it boasted twelve bedrooms, fourteen bathrooms, play room, theater, small library/office, large chef kitchen and pool in the back of a large back yard. I also had five modes of transportation in the garage. I

thought that was a modest number of vehicles. They ate dinner I bought. I sat there and thought. They are going to need some stability soon. I was thinking about a nanny that will be able to pick them up from school. Man, will they be ready for someone to get them besides me? It was just us since they were four years old. Now they are seven. I will ask Tamara later, so she can find a good one for them.

I then found myself thinking about the beautiful woman that ran into earlier today. Her skin was flawless. Nice chocolate brown skin under black curled hair that flowed just past her shoulders. Her eyebrows were perfectly arched. Her eyes were dark brown with long eyelashes, she had high cheekbones and no blush. Pert cute with a slight flair nose. She had full thick lips dressed in a Brownish Reddish color lipstick. She wore a multi-color wool blazer over an off white silk like blouse teamed with black pencil skirt and black heels. It was a nice professional outfit. I wonder what she does for a living? Hope I can meet her again soon. My son called to me letting me know to tuck them into bed. Wow, have I spent all this time thinking about her? What is her name?...
