Chapter 3

Hui Zhong's POV

I looked at the pretty guy with pity as he slowly put on the simple robe and took the stew from me, slowly savouring it without breaking eye contact with me.

'He must be nervous, maybe I should try talking to him?' I thought to myself before deciding to just follow my gut instincts.

"Can you understand me? So I know you're probably wondering who am I right? Well you can call me sister H alright? or H is also fine, and you needn't worry about anything except getting better so that I can bring you back to your pack and you won't have to worry about being separated from your mate."

His eyes brightened at the mention of 'mate' and I knew my hunch was right, he handed the bowl back to me with a small smile of gratitude, "T-Thank y-you Sister H, I'm Benjamin and thank you for saving me."

I smiled and nodded as I got up to go wash the bowl and get another serving for myself, "So if I may ask Benjamin, how did you end up here alone? I can guess that you belong to a pack and probably are a high ranking wolf or are mated to one, such as an alpha, or both so its pretty worrying for you to be here alone and heavily pregnant much less............."

He suddenly looked at me with his expression turned to shock upon hearing my simple observation and inferences, "H-How? Are you psychic or something? P-Please don't hurt my pup's"

I couldn't help but laugh at his panic as I sat on the armchair next to him, drinking my stew as while grasping the bowl tightly to avoid unnecessary chores.

"I won't Mister Benjamin, I'm an ally of your kind so hunter is something I will never be. Besides, having a mate is a huge blessing and I'll figure a way to get you back soon alright? Goddess knows if your mate had already went ballistic or recessive already." I muttered the last part out quietly so as to not panic him.

He nodded yes and I finally had the chance to slug it out, enjoying my stew and just waiting for him to have a conversation with me, "So, other than where you're from, if you want or need anything like clothes or shower just go ahead, no need for formalities alright?"

"R-Right, I'm from the Crescent Falls pack and thank you again Sister H. But I have to ask, why are you so attached to werewolves when you smell like a hunter? I'm sorry if its rude but I really am confused why you would be so kindhearted?" He asked in a shaky tone, it was clear he was still fearful of me but had given me a little trust.

I sighed as I looked up to the ceiling and ran my fingers through my extremely long fringe that needed a good trim, this was not an easy question to answer and I decided to tell him what he needed to know and nothing else.

"Well, my father was one very notorious one and I just simply hated that so I decided to screw all the rules and rebel hardcore by killing his subordinates without him knowing and killing rogues who allied themselves with him. Is that good enough for an answer?" He looked at me with a surprised expression, clearly he didn't expect that from me but said nothing and nodded while still lying on the couch shivering under the thin blanket.

I noticed him shivering and got up to head to the bathroom to set up a warm bath for Benjamin, 'he probably hasn't had a decent bath in a while, Crescent Falls pack huh? I think old man Jax will be surprised finding out I'm still here heh' I though to myself as I chuckled aloud.

Benjamin's POV

I looked around to find Sister H missing, "Uhm Sister H? Where are you? I was wondering if you could let me have a shower?" I gulped hoping it wasn't too much to ask for.

"Yeah! I'm setting a bath for you since I noticed you shivering, don't worry I'll be over to carry you seeing as you're still injured badly alright?" I nodded while blushing and keeping a hand over my very large belly protectively, 'Must be the motherly instincts kicking in, I hope I can go back to Jax soon, he must be hysterical right now' I thought out loud to myself unconsciously without realising Sister H came back in with her sleeves rolled up and smirking at me. "I hope that was your thoughts that you so loudly spoke out to me?"

I blushed and nodded as she picked me up effortlessly, I had to admit I was surprised that for a girl who wasn't that tall and stood around 5'2 or something? She was really strong, especially since I was 7 months pregnant with twins so this really surprised me.

As she brought me into the bathroom I leaned against her gently as she began to help me undress and slowly helped me into the warm bath. I sighed in relief as I slowly relaxed into the bath and noticed a tray of strange looking bottles and a bunch of petals in a separate basket next to it and shivered, she seemed to notice my fear and laughed while shaking her head, "Oh Mister Benjamin, I'm not gonna murder you or something. The biggest bottle here is a special potion meant to heal any supernatural being's superficial wounds and this," She pointed to the petals and other small bottles, "are meant to relax you so your pups won't be in danger and keep your skin smooth. I know it isn't much, but its the best I have now alright?"

My eyes widened and I gasped loudly, "what do you mean it isn't much? This potion is from Margaret the kind witch , not mentioning how you aren't asking much while still helping me for free. You're really kind so don't think its insufficient alright? My mate and I will greatly appreciate you Sister H."

"So it seems I need to give you a bath to get you to start conversing with me huh" She teased while chuckling and shrugged as she poured the different bath ingredients in and handed me a sponge before closing the shower curtain, " I've seen junk before but you belong to someone so I'll give ya privacy. If you need anything just call me."

Just as she was about to get up I quickly grabbed her wrist and whimpered, as much as I wanted to be alone and process how I was going to go back and find my Jax, I knew I wanted some company. She sat back down with her brows furrowed and asked with a tint of worry in her voice "Hmm? What's wrong? Do you want me to keep you company until you're done?" I nodded shyly and let go of her hand as she smiled while looking away despite having a shower curtain.

I chuckled at the her as I submersed myself into the beautiful bath, noting that I have not had a good bath in 2 weeks and probably reeked badly. I decided to chat with her, after all I was the one who asked to stay and she be responsible of what I wish for, "S-So, do you know how to get me back to my pack? Maybe if you don't mind, will tomorrow be a good time? I'm still on pack lands so I can call him as we haven't crossed the border so the link is still there but once I cross your backyard, I will be off pack territory already."

She nodded with sigh and finally opened her mouth to have a proper conversation with me. "I see, Crescent Falls pack right? I'm not too sure where it is so you can call your alpha over? To let him know where you are?"

I nodded and proceeded to use the mind link and nearly jumped from the overload of screaming from my beloved mate's voice, clearly in panic as they still can't find me, 'WHAT THE FUCK?!?! 2 WEEKS AND YOU STILL CAN'T FIND HIM? USELESS FUCKS! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ARE MY WARRIORS!!'

My eyes widened in horror and I immediately spoke into the mind link, shaking as Sister H held my hand for reassurance, 'Jax! Can you hear me?' Almost immediately everything goes silent and his voice slowly reappears clearly shaking while speaking, 'B-Babe? Is that really you? I thought you were dead! Thank Goddess, where are you? I want to see babe, I can't live without you so please. let me find you please.........' I chuckled and turned to Sister H for approval to let them come in and she readily nodded with smile. 'Alright, come to the small cottage with a farm next to it, a woman will come out later, I'm showering so I'll see you later my love' I said with a smile and closed the link to get up and dry myself as Sister H assisted me in changing me and helped me to the couch and laid me with my blanket to warm me up.

"Stay here, I'll bring in some more stew and you can have it later. I know your arm and leg is broken but when you get back you'll recover better alright? And the herbs I fed you should have helped in reducing the pain. After you finish the stew go and sleep, I'll wake you when your mate comes back" I nodded and gratefully accepted the bowl of stew from her and gobbled it down, handing her an empty bowl before I smiled to her and drifted asleep.

Time skip 4 hours later

Before long, I was woken up by Sister H and 4 men behind her and I immediately squealed and tried hopping into his arms, My mate, my only one, Jax was finally with me again.

I started to sob silently as I buried my face into his well-built chest, my bump having a gap between his as he circled my back with his hand gently while hugging me with the other.

After what seemed like an eternity, Sister H's throat clearing noise brought us back to earth and Danny blushed hard realising that we weren't alone. "So, please fully introduce yourselves to me, Jax and Benjamin Beck." Sister H said with a chuckle and I grew wide-eyed, this was going to be a long day.
