Cold Night

The temperature at the Wang’s Residence becomes colder throughout the night. It would have been much warmer to sleep in a bed, but Liu Shun-Feng was sound asleep on the couch.

Deep in his sleep, unaware of when Wang Yi-An had made her way downstairs for a glass of water. Inside the kitchen, she held the glass up as she drank some water. After cleaning up the cup, she turned around and noticed him asleep on her couch.

For a second, she thought it was weird that he had fallen asleep on the couch instead of inside a comfy bed. Only until she saw how stretched out his legs were that she had realised how small her bed was. Looking at him, sometimes she felt like perhaps she should have let him sleep inside her brother’s bed instead. However, she couldn’t.

Yi-Xiu’s bed will always be Yi-Xiu’s bed, and for Liu Shun-Feng to sleep in it. It meant something more to her than anything else, because it meant giving up hope.
