Not strong enough

As he was about to leave, I remembered something '' You said that the banquet is one of the reasons you're here, what are the other reasons you're here for.'' I asked him then he smirked at me before he said'' Well, I'm also here because I know you missed me, and as the gentleman I am - I decided to grace you with my presence.'' He teased, and I rolled my eyes while he was leaving.

-------------------

The shield is off and I'm free to move as I want, but first I have got to get myself ready. First, I started by taking a shower, as the water ran through my body I felt like releasing all the pressure was holding inside my heart.

After taking a shower, I've decided on wearing the red dress that Elijah brought to me. I put some make on as I managed to put all my focus on the red lipstick I'm putting on my lips. I didn't put much effort into my hair, as I decided to keep it loose. I put on at the end a red high heel along with a diamond necklace that kind of reminded me of the one my mom gave me.

While watching my reflection in the mirror, Elijah jumps into the room, '' On time! '' He remarked, and I replied to him '' I'm always on time,'' while rolling my eyes.

He was wearing a formal white tuxedo, along with well-fitting black tuxedo pants, and a bow red tie that matched my dress. To complete his perfect look, he wore a polished pair of black patent leather lace-up shoes. He looked like a charming prince escaping out from a fairy tale.

He grabbed my hand, then let me out of the room to the hall. While getting inside, holding hand to hand along with Elijah. A magnificent, huge, divine hall was all filled with many vampires. Everyone in the hall was good-looking, but none of them was nearly as handsome as Elijah. As we entered the hall, silence ran for about a few seconds before the noise came back.

I noticed that Elijah looks a bit different from the normal, he's way too cold and not as annoying as his usual self. I've also noticed that many of the female vampires were looking at Elijah, some of them were ignoring me, the others were glaring at me and hating on me.

I personally don't care about what they think about me, nor what's running in their minds, but a creepy Idea came to my mind and I found myself tightening my hands around him while smirking at the ladies watching us, a smirk crept into his face also, then he bent down to my ear, and said '' Jealous sweetheart? Don't be... I'm all yours tonight.''–'' Wait ... what??! Not happening'' I tried to deny, but he did not believe me,'' none of them is near to your beauty''.

I looked at his beautiful green eyes, and I felt my face warming up, then I asked trying to change the subject '' Where is my father? I can't recognize anyone but you in here?'' he smiled then led me to another area from the hall, '' in the royal zone princess, and he's waiting for us.'' I roomed with my eyes around to see that the space we were in right now is way too different from the one we passed through. It's way too luxurious. Not to mention that there weren't many vampires around, only the noble ones.

While I was scanning the place, Elijah let my hand free as someone stood behind me. I turned to face a man that seemed in his thirties. At the same time, Elijah bowed down with respect to the man in front of me '' your majesty'' he uttered carefully, but the man seemed too busy eyeing me. Wait, did he just call him 'Majesty'- As the realization of what's going on hit my nerves, time stopped moving and I found myself lost in the track.

Though I felt like lost in feelings, I didn't show any sort of affection. We kept looking coldly at each other, none of us was trying to break the ice in this awkward situation until someone who seemed to be a butler called for dinner. I didn't feel like eating; I didn't feel like eating, but I could pass over my hanger for blood, so I just drank some cups of blood.

Elijah was by my side the whole night, while my father seemed a bit busy doing anything but looking at me. By the end, everyone left the private huge room except for me, my father, and Elijah. We were only three, but yet my father succeeded at ignoring me.

'' Tomorrow, she'll start training. I want you and your team to take care of her.'' My father exclaimed, '' it would be an honor to train the princess your majesty'' Elijah answered but my father didn't seem to be satisfied with his answer '' You'll have to take this seriously, she's not strong enough yet.'' I interrupted them both '' Excuse me! But the hell you are to talk about me that way, or even make a decision .....'' This time it was me who got interrupted '' You introduce her to your team tomorrow. I want to see results as soon as possible'' then he disappeared, and I was left alone with Elijah.

'' He cares about you, he's only not good at showing feeling, not after ... '' Elijah stopped not wanting to finish but I finished instead of him '' before my mother's death.'' He looked at me then he gave me a warm smile '' You're not that dumb after all'' he teased trying to change my mood, but I wasn't in the mood '' Not that dumb, neither strong enough to be my father's daughter'' I explained, and he tried to console me '' You're the strongest woman I ever met. You grow up among humans, yet still can find your way among us, also you survived your mate's rejection and games, not to mention you died and came back to life all by yourself. You only need to trust yourself along with some training, and then no one could've stood a chance in front of you.'' He ends up his talk with one of his warm smiles, and I felt my heart-melting. He was the first person to say such a sweet talk to besides my brother…
