Elisabeth's point of view:
As for what Evanora said, Agatha was not planning to commit to her promise. With a mean smile on her face, she told us.
"You're in no oppression to make decisions. Bring them into the cell, and get them both ready for tonight's ceremony."
She said while smiling as if she was holding the whole world in between her hands. Little did she know about what we're having for her tonight.
.................
After thinking, the preparations of tonight's ceremony were not that bad after all, I mean the witches help us to shower with milk and red followers. You know, it was that kind of shower that you see in movies.
Did I mention the white dress… Well, there was a wonderful white short dress waiting for me – and only me to wear.
Everything was perfectly amazing. It was as if they were preparing us for that sort of traditional wedding type. The only difference was that they were preparing us to get killed, not to a wedding ceremony.
You might wonder why someone who's on the verge of dying would be happy like I am by now. Well, I'm not going to die–Not today.
You see, the moment we surrendered ourselves wasn't actually a surrendered moment. Sebil is somehow locked in the same way as we were in that stupid quarter – but not for too long.
At the time I was arguing with Elijah, Evanora invited her aunt (Sebil) to her dream. The same as when Agatha invited us to her dream, where she told us about our mate.
Sebil informed Evanora that she was captured by witches, and told her that she knows about the deal between us and witches. She's the one who warned Evanora that the witches won't hold on to their words and that they're planning to fool us.
She also told us that witches were working in a collaboration with Albert and rogues. If I do quietly remember what rogues mean – I guess the type of werewolf's that belongs to no pack.
Anyway…. The witches were keeping Sebil's soul out of her body by casting a spell on her, not for too long. You see, the plan was to get Sebil free the moment we get in the quarter, and that's what Evanora was doing, while I was arguing with Agatha.
Now that Sebil's free, she'll be freeing our mates first. Then they'll join us, and we'll all escape.
As it was night now … The perfect time to start the ceremony. As all witches were gathered to watch the ceremony of killing the devil aka me… Did I mention that Albert was here along with his mom… Yeah, he is here only to watch my death.
In no time, I was driven out to the altar, the same goes for Evanora. I raised my head up to see that the sky was red, and the moon… Well, the red full moon was facing us. It looks larger than usual, beautiful, and also glowing red.
It was said that whenever the moon is full or red, werewolves around the world get a bit stronger and bigger… How for now when the moon is both? I can't wait till I get connected to my Hybrid again.
As for me and Evanora, we were facing each other, the witches started chanting … Meaning that by any second from now, Evanora will slaughter.
Sebil needs to show herself now. Otherwise, this time would be my actual end. The fact that she's not here means only that Evanora failed to free her, or that she was captured again.
I don't think that she left us behind; I mean Liam seemed to trust her with his life. She doesn't seem like the type of person that would turn her back on others, or she is. I was never good at judging people.
I looked at Evanora, in hope, to feel a bit relaxed. But the look on her face did only scare me more than before.
She was looking terrified as if she was really going to die… Well; she is really going to die, and so am I.
In no time, the witches started chanting all and together.
Agatha moved on toward Evanora with a dagger in between her hands, then shouts.
"Par la lune et par la nuit, que la maudite perde sa vie"
At the same moment, she left the dagger between her hands and slaughtered her young granddaughter, while she was crying and begging her not to do so.
A scream escaped my throat as my entire world stopped. She killed her, killed her own with cold blood.
The woman in front was a murderous, a monster… No way that I could believe that a normal person can do such a crime with clear consciousness.
Yet, she does not seem to be affected by her granddaughter's death. She was only focused on me being alive.
After shouting and screaming, she ends up trying to kill me by herself. Using the same dagger that she used to kill her own daughter, she wanted to slaughter me.
But before she could do anything, a growl after another got me out of the state I was in. It was my mate and my brother.
My mate's growl was to warn Agatha to keep away, while my brother's growl was a sorrowful one for the loss of his mate.
They started killing each and everyone around, Agatha started running at their sights. Meanwhile, Albert and his mother were nowhere to be seen.
I felt a hand on me, and I turned to find out that it's Sebil. She was finally here. As she sat me free, I curled my hands into a punch, then I punched her right in her jaw.
"She trusted you … How could you let that happen to her? How…?"
I couldn't stop myself from crying, I did not know her for too long. But in somehow, I felt connected to her.
I forced myself to get closer to her body, as a did a smile found her way to my face as she was still breathing, and her eyes were wide open. She was still alive, but she wasn't going to make it for too long.
She was dying, and I couldn't do anything about it but to cry. As I was watching her leaving this world, a wave of electricity finds its way to my whole body.
It was like being alive again, in a different sort of way. My Lycan was here and I was able to fight by now… To make them all pay for what they did to Evanora.
Surprisingly, my Hybrid didn't want me to fight. Instead, she asked me to bite the half-dead Evanora. It took me a while before realizing what she asked me to do. She was asking me to turn Evanora. This will be the only way to keep her alive.
When I was told I did, I bit her. Unexpectedly she did not turn in either, woke up. She was not totally dead.
The anger and fury were killing me inside. I wasn't angry at anyone but myself for not being able to protect her. Let her down, let my brother down, and so everyone around me.
I should've died instead of her, yet I'm alive, and she's not.
Chaos, blood, and screams were all I could see and hear. Not focussing on what was going on around me, I was until a specific scream got me off guard. It wasn't just anyone's scream that made me feel that way; it was my mate.
While I was out of guard, Agatha tried to kill me again, but my mate threw himself in between us. As a Lycan, a such an attack wouldn't affect him.
Surprisingly, Liam was down on his knees screaming from pain. No … this is not happening, I'm not going to lose two of my people here, and today.
Unfortunately, that's what was going on. I threw myself next to my mate, who was screaming in pain, and I took him between my hands. I closed the gap between us both, and I took him into my embrace.
"It … turns … out … that … all … I … needed … was … to … get … myself … at … verge … of … death … to … get … you … to … forgave … me…" He said while breathing hard, it was as if he wasn't able to speak, but he had to.
You're not going to die … You hear me. You can't go anywhere without me… Otherwise, I promise I'll kill you by my hands…" I was shouting at him unconsciously.
He smiled at me, and for the first time I noticed how in love I am with his smile – he then said
"I … love … you." He caught blood before he finished, "I've … always … done … and … I'll … always … do."
This was all he said before he closed his eyes. No matter how hard I tried to wake him up, he wouldn't.
Lost in my misery, I was that I didn't notice the existence of Agatha who was still intending to kill me. As she was about to attack me, Agatha's heart was pulled out of her body, and it was Elijah the one who did so.
