The white coated lab assistants moved in choregraphed silence as they drew pipettes of fluid from one tiny tube and transferred them into the other.
Frank walked into the laboratory. William followed behind, barely able to keep up with his swift strides. They entered the same cabin labeled special project.
Frank opened the door with his card and they walked in. William eyes widened when he saw Eulich lying lifeless on the bed, her body wrapped in a plastic bag which covered her body just up to her neck, and her eyes wide open in a disturbing stare.
“How did this happen?”
“Someone came in last night and strangled her in her sleep.”
Frank walked to where she lay and pushed the plastic bag that’d covered her body to reveal several scratch marks on her skin. “Judging from the cuts on her body, I’d say she was probably attacked by a shifter.”
“Mrs. Eulich has always been on isolation. How could anyone have access to this facility?”
