EPILOGUE

It was a scorching afternoon. Sunrays pierced her eyelids, and she rubbed her eyes, rolling to the corner of her enormous bed. Someone had opened the curtains, letting sunshine leak in. Natasha dropped her arm where Kevin was supposed to be. Found an empty bed.

She came awake, quickly turning to see that Kevin’s side of the bed was unoccupied. He was gone. She let out a heavy sigh, expressing her disappointment. Rolling out of bed, she walked to the window to adjust the curtains. Turning to look at the bed, she observed that her clothes were scattered on top. That’s when she realized she was standing naked.

In front of the large mirror hanging beside the bed, Natasha twirled, looking up at the ceiling, before finally collapsing on the bed. Her long dark hair, unfastened, cascading about her shoulders.
