Alena sat on the bench in the forest looking at her father’s memoirs, tears slipped down her face. Something she hadn’t done for such a long time, it was not allowed. How could her mother have fallen for someone as evil as he was? He had defied her in every way possible. He was so evil. Now she knew why Damien was the way he was.

‘What’s up sis?’

Alena looked up at him through her puffy eyes.

‘What’s with your eyes?’

‘Nothing.’

‘Alena!’

‘Dad o-kay!’

‘So you found them I see.’

‘It’s all true everything.’

‘See not everyone lies Alena. We’re all here for a purpose. Now you know mine.’

She pulled herself up. ‘Well I don’t want to be a part of that!’ She said walking away.

Damien grabbed her wrist, she turned looking at him. ‘Well you are. Dad created the both of us.’

‘You were created. I just got lumbered with it. With you.’

‘Don’t be like that sis.’

‘He defied my mother.’

‘Our mother.’
