"I should be asking you." She said and pulled away to look into his eyes. 


"Are you okay, Jasper?" He shook his head and let out a cleansing breath. 


"I am. I don't feel any different, so I think I am." She held his hand and dragged him to the chair to sit beside her. 


"How do you feel about all this? You don't feel any different physically, but you know–" 


"Emotionally?" He tilted his head with a hint of a smile, and she laughed. 


"I do not know." He answered honestly. 


"On the one hand, I wonder why my parents would keep such an important thing quiet, and on the other, I suppose it's for the very reason that it is such a grave subject that it has been kept quiet in the first place. I don't fault them, but I suppose it is a lot to take in, a lot to talk about."
