Hidden Plan

While they were talking, the cold, apathetic man looked at the burnt-down village. He then approached someone near him.

"What happened to the village?"

"Because of the plague, we have to burn it down. Along with the infected." His voice was quivering. His expression wrinkled as he endured sadness and tears about to come out.

"Don't hold it." Fred patted the guy's shoulder, "It's okay to cry. It's not a sign of weakness. It's a sign that you're a human. Cry to your heart's content or it'll hinder you in your everyday life."

The man shook his head, "It's okay. It'll affect the other's mood if I cry. Furthermore, there are children. I don't want to make them worry."

Fred nodded as he understood, "How long has this virus been attacking your village?"

"Three months ago, if my memory serves it right."
