Killing her demon(4)

What do you want from me?" Delaney was terrified, coming face to face with the very demon she was meant to avoid.

"Not much." He grabbed her hand. "It's a bit impolite to come to the underworld and not say hello to the woman you killed, don't you think?"

"Penelope, right. I should say hello if I have time." She agreed, but not because what he said was true. If she could meet Penelope, she would get instant answers to the questions that had just registered in her mind.

"However, I know there is no such thing as time in the underworld. In the best-case scenario, you could be using this as a distraction to slow me down so I will be unable to leave. I have heard countless tales about you, Hades." She looked him in the eye, only for him to grin smugly.

"All good things, I hope?" When she scoffed, he stopped making fun. "Look, as much as I would like to keep you here, I know it when I meet demons I shouldn't mess with. Fire demons are top on the list."
