She would have assumed Elifur didn't die and in effect, didn't get to the underworld, but if that were the case, Hades wouldn't be so bitter about it. It was s though the demon had lost one of the souls he liked punishing the most. With that kind of expression on his face, one might assume he had lost his family.  </p>
