MOVE ON

Wang Xiu raised one of her brows and crossed her arms on her chest while still holding her shoes and lingerie on her hands. "Did my grandfather talk to you about this?"

"Yes, but it's also my idea." CEO Yang answered with a blank expression.

Wang Xiu gazed at Fei Hong's dark brown eyes. The poker face lies and the saddened sights say there is a reason behind the sudden change of heart from the CEO.

She stepped forward, closer, with her chin lifted. "I have a counter-proposal."

"Counter proposal?" Fei Hong's brow raised from curiosity.,

"I'll take your position as CEO if you marry me." Wang Xiu proudly suggested, arching her lips with bright eyes.

"What???" The CEO crumpled her forehead to her confusion.

"My grandfather wants a Yang in the family, I'll marry a Yang." Wang Xiu explained, stepping nearer to the woman in a black suit.

Fei Hong paces back to avoid the aggression until she hits the door of her room, "Your grandfather and uncle are not going to say yes to that."

"Why not?" The executive continued to stride until a hairsbreadth of space is all they have between them, "You're a widow. We have a history. Doesn't sound bad to me."

"How about your family's conservative reputation?" Fei Hong reminded the woman, enticing her with a revealing cleavage from her black dress.

"I'm not a Long. I'm a Zhang." Wang Xiu reasoned with her eyes fixed on the "Silver Fox's" narrow lips in front of her.

"Wang Xiu I can't—"

The executive let her cherry-colored lips brush against the fragile peach rims of the CEO. The liquor in their breath mixes like a cocktail intoxicating their judgments. Wang Xiu didn't feel Fei Hong's protest when her tongue reached for the CEO's nibbling muscle. She let her body warmed up by resting her breast against CEO Yang's chest.

Their kisses were passionate. Deep. Craving. Wang Xiu recalled this feeling of wanting to be part of Fei Hong's life. Ten years ago. It started as a desperate move to be significant to someone and the CEO gave it to her. She helped the widow fight the loneliness gripping her when her husband suddenly passed away. There were both using each other. But a part of Wang Xiu's heart believed they could have been more. They could have been lovers.

Out of breath, she whispered in "Silver Fox's" ear, "I remember you liked this when you visited me in Shanghai,

"You are still the little devil kid I used to know. Defiant. The more people push you to do something, the more you fight." Fei Hong replied, with her arms on the woman's exposed back.

Fei Hong gazed at the lustrous brown eyes of Wang Xiu. Full of warmth and passion. She remembers the youthful woman she had in her arms before. Her heart beats rapidly scouring for answers in the woman's stare.

'Did Wang Xiu loved me or was I another person she used to feel good about herself???' The Silver Fox asked herself.

"I'm an angel to the right people." The executive answered in her husky warm breath.

CEO Yang felt her heart broken into pieces. She had the answer she wanted. "You are right. I was never the right person for you."

Fei Hong released the woman in her arms and quickly turned to open the door of her room. "Good night, Zhang Wang Xiu."

"Fei???" The executive ruffled her brows in shock as the woman stepped inside her room and left Wang Xiu in the hallway alone.

The warm kisses abruptly became icy cold like someone splashed a bucket at the CEO. Wang Xiu pondered about Fei Hong's action. Between the time when the CEO suddenly approached her to apologize for sabotaging her relationship with CEO Park Min Ah and the marriage proposal for her son.

"Something is not right." Wang Xiu muttered.

She puffed out the disappointment from her mouth with a sigh. Not only did she almost sleep with Sheng Zheng, but Fei Hong also appeared to resent her after their conversation. Wang Xiu wore her shoes back on and walked away. She needs to find a way to get out of her trapped marriage.

"How long does it take for a man to think we are sleeping together???" Honey asked while her body lay still in the soft mattress of Jiang Ru's hotel room.

"15 minutes." The man beside the lawyer answered.

"Really???" Honey turned her face and raised her brow.

"No. The moment you pulled me towards the men's room, he thinks we're going to have sex." Jiang Ru chuckled at the woman's surprising plan to get revenge on her new boyfriend.

"You should be careful kissing people, you don't know who will create gossip out of you." Honey veered around to stare back to the pristine white ceiling of the room.

"You should be careful who you date. There people who will use you because of who you are." The CEO retorted with his eyes on the charming colored blonde hair lawyer. "Hao Ran is not a good guy, Honey. I heard him talking to a girl on the phone about using you to get promoted."

"I'm glad you were there to witness it." Honey's eyes moistened from the revelation.

Though she only met Detective Hao Ran a few weeks ago, she felt charmed by the officer. The confidence and charismatic presence the man possessed reminded her of Bao Jiang Ru. And she felt like falling in love again. But when she gazed at the CEO's face, Honey realized it was Jiang Ru who she loved.

"You believe me???" The CEO rolled his body to face the woman and lift his head with his arm.

"Surprisingly, I do. After all the years of faking you love me. I still trust you." The lawyer answered with an unwilling smile.

"I do love you." Jiang Ru forcefully clutched the lawyer's cheeks together with his hand, making Honey pout her red lips. "You're the only woman I love."

Honey whirled her body and in an instant, set herself on top of the CEO. Her face burrowed on her palm resting on Jiang Ru's broad chest. The silent wail from her lips made the man wrap his warm arms around the woman's body.

'What is more painful? Knowing Jiang Ru loved her and yet prefers not to be with her or the man pretending to love her because he can't.' Honey asked her heart.

Her eyes weep every time she thinks of the man laying his body on the bed below her. Always looking for his shadow that could want her but all she finds is darkness who ends up hurting her.

"I still love you," Honey whispered between her tears and whimper, "But I need to move on."

"You should." Jiang Ru gently kissed the woman's soft hair and held her tight.

"This may be the last time we'll see each other again." The woman mumbled as she lifted her head to stare at the man with her red moist eyes.

"I guess this is farewell." The CEO gazed at the woman with teary sights.

When their lips met, they both had their cheeks wet from tears. They are in the arms of the person they love that is not meant to be.
