WAKE

[WANG XIU POV]

Lounging on the divan early morning while drinking tea became her daily routine when she found out about her pregnancy. And since her morning sickness began a few days ago, tea relaxes her upset stomach after vomiting.

"Why aren't you dressed for the funeral of Yeye?" Li Jun asked, wrapped in an all-black formal suit.

The upset face of the man in front of him didn't bother her. Attending the funeral in her situation was considered unlucky in their tradition. Though she didn't believe in superstitions, risking her child to have the same unfortunate fate as her was frightening as a mother.

"I'm not coming, Li Jun," she replied lazily after lifting her cup to sip her tea.

"Are you truly not feeling well or are you still defying our grandfather by not paying respect to his wake?" the actor nagged and hovered in front of the center table with hands on his pockets.
