A Duel Against Artemis

Sitting there I wait for Artemis to get back, She had said she was going to set up for our duel, But maybe I had gotten lucky and she decided to quit while ahead

Unfortunately, it seemed Tyche was not on my side as she came back with her divine bow and another man with golden hair

"Hey... so you're challenging my sister huh?... well don't get any ideas, she is an eternal maiden" Apollo comes up and says quickly before going to lean against a tree watching over our duel

"Ok... so what are we doing?" I ask summoning my own bow, I didn't want to use the one I got from synchronizing with Artemis, seeing as She probably would get suspicious of me if I just pulled that out

"It will be 3 rounds... first we will see who can hunt the fastest", She said and without any more words rushed into the forest (A/N: Ok I just thought I'd say this, Adon can move around 600mph, This is extremely slow for gods, so if he gets to places super fast that's how you know... just wait till he can move faster)

I rushed into the same direction bow drawn and using all my senses to find my prey, And there I saw it, A silver doe

There was no way I could kill such a beautiful creature so instead, I asked it to point me to something else

It led me to a nearly dead deer that was sitting there bleeding out (My king... please use me to win) The deer said and bowed its head

I put my forehead against it and smiled (Thank you my friend) I thought to it and finished it quickly as to not cause it any more pain

Coming back to the start I am glad to not see Artemis and let out a sigh of relief " What!? you were first!?" Apollo exclaims incredulously, As far as he was concerned Artemis is supposed to be the best hunter

Artemis comes out of the woods and wines her eyes when she sees me standing there in front of my deer

"Next?" I say with a slight smile seeing her frustration

"Archery," She says and waves her hand spawning targets that for normal people would be impossible to hit, But for masters of Archery such as Me and her, this would be normal

*thwack*

I shoot an arrow off without looking and hit the target "your turn" I say giving her a teasing smile as she steps up and aims for the hardest one

hitting it right on the bullseye I frown and look away "ok you won this one..." I said bitterly and put my bow away

(Pov 3rd, A/N: I'm going to do fighting scenes mostly in the 3rd person👌)

"The last one is combat," Artemis said and jumped at him with a knife, aiming at his throat

Adon jumps back as fast as he can, Still getting cut with the knife, but avoiding any real injuries, "You really are too excited for this" He said and summoned his daggers

Sidestepping her next attack he kicks her ribs and drives his dagger toward her face, She deflects with her knife and raises her head, head butting him and drawing Ichor from both their head

"I won't lose," She says and spits to the side, rushing back in she hits his face and kicks his side making him fly

(Solar Flare)

Sun energy cuts the side of her face and Ichor falls down as she widens her eyes seeing him stand there completely unscathed

(Maybe this is payment for being so weak?... I always regenerate immediately) Adon thinks to himself before smirking at Artemis "lady Artemis... I'm very sorry, and I hope you forgive me for my next move" He says and walks slowly forward

*Weapon Mastery Lv. 1-->Lv. 2*

He felt the differences immediately, it was like the daggers were more comfortable and he knew exactly where to strike to do the most damage

So arriving in front of Artemis he smiles as he sees her tense her shoulder to hit him, He dodges and throws a punch of his own

Together like this the tow punched and kicked at each other while in close quarters, Each stroke with precision and strength, Showing their determination to win

"It seems Lady Tyche is on my side in this fight," Adon says and as Artemis was about to dodge his hand changed direction and hit her side causing her to fly back and cough up ichor

Before she can recover he throws a dagger and it hits her arm sticking it to the tree that she had hit, Finally he jumped closer and kicked her in the face to ensure his win

"Ok, that's enough!" Apollo says seeing his twin get beat "You win" He said and grabbed Artemis to help her up

Seeing the rewards come in Adon sighs and helps Apollo feed Artemis ambrosia

He was surprised at the bonus rewards for defeating Her, But glad they were good since getting anything less from the system would be a disappointment

Seeing the notification I look over and sure enough, she's looking at me with a confused expression, When she sees me look over she just adopts a scowl and looks away, I took this as my cue to leave and went away

Reaching home I sit down and get comfy to look through the shop, I decided to save the stat points for a little while and went to use the Random Weapon token
