I've Been Given The Okay

"Kaydence." The nurse called out.

I stood up and followed her through the familiar hall. The weeks had passed by so fast that it was already time for my six week check up. After I started finally feeling better everything else seemed to be getting better as well. We were getting more sleep as Scarlett was now awake a little longer. She just started to sleep through the night and that made me more relaxed.

The nurse led me into the room. She handed me a clipboard with a pen and a paper that had a questionnaire to fill out. It helped determine if postpartum depression had set in and how bad it may be. "Have a seat and Dr. Hyde will be in shortly. Fill this out as you wait please." She smiled and then left the room.

I filled out the questionnaire honestly as I sat there. I waited a few minutes after I had finished the paper before the doctor knocked on the door and let himself inside. "Hello." He greeted me with a smile. He proceeded to look over the paper I had filled out. "How are you doing?"

"Pretty good actually." I answered. Since we got into a routine that worked for us things had continued to only get better.

"Good. I know when I saw you at the two week appointment you mentioned that you had been struggling a little bit but you were starting to improve. How are you feeling now?" He asked as he looked at me with a concerned expression.

"I'm doing a lot better." I was giving him an honest answer. "Things have continued getting better and I'm feeling a lot happier now."

"Good." Dr. Hyde nodded. "By the answers on the paper it looks like you're not on the postpartum depression scale right now. But it's important to keep track of this as it still can happen within the first year. If you start feeling any symptoms I want you to call my office immediately."

"I understand." I nodded. I knew postpartum depression was nothing to mess with. I had been fortunate enough to get my emotions under control.

"Were you looking into getting on birth control today?" He asked.

"The pill. It's what I was on the last time I used any." I answered.

Dr. Hyde nodded. "I'll get the prescription sent over.

We continued on with the appointment and once we finished I was on my way. I got into the car and headed for the pharmacy where the prescription was waiting for me. I knew I needed to get on it as soon as possible. I had been cleared to resume physical activity. All physical activity.

I called Damon over the bluetooth in the car. The phone rang a couple times and then he picked up. "Hello Love." he greeted with a pleasant tone in his voice.

"I was wondering if I could come see you while Rose still had Scarlett. It's been awhile since I've really been out of the house." I spoke loud enough to make sure he could hear me.

"Of course Love. I'll have Stacey order us some lunch." He responded.

"I'll see you soon then." A small smile formed on my lips.

"Sounds good. I love you." his pleasant tone remained. He must be having a good day at work.

"I love you too." We hung up after that and I made my way to Tipton Enterprises.

I pulled into the parking lot after I picked up the birth control and parked my car. I then walked inside of the building of Tipton Enterprises and went straight to the elevator. Max followed behind of course. We were still having security around all of us right now. Damon even went so far to make sure there was security at Sterling's school. He was still shaken up and on guard by the shooting but he was doing a lot better than he had weeks ago. The therapy seemed to be really helping after the last five sessions.

The elevator dinged and I walked down the hallway to where Stacey's desk sat. She smiled as she saw me approach. "It's been awhile since I've last seen you Kaydence. You look fantastic." "Thank you." I smiled at her compliment.

"Mr. Tipton has shown me a few pictures of the new addition. She's absolutely beautiful!" Stacey was referring to Scarlett.

"She is precious." My smile remained.

"Your lunch should be here in about twenty minutes and he's inside waiting for you." Stacey spoke as she motioned to the doors for me to go inside.

"Thank you." I walked to the doors and went inside.

Damon was concentrating on his computer. It seemed he didn't even hear the doors open. He finally looked away when he picked up on my footsteps. He glanced up at me and a smile formed on his lips. "There's my gorgeous wife."

"There's my handsome husband." I responded as I took a seat in front of him. "What ya looking at?"

"The latest thing the therapist asked me to write up." He sighed. "I need to have it ready for my appointment on Thursday." "I see. Speaking of appointments, mine seemed to go well today." I decided to change the subject. He may be improving and going to therapy but I knew he didn't like talking about it very much. He still felt like it made him weak to get the help but in my eyes it was the opposite. I knew he would come out of this stronger.

"That's good." Damon smiled slightly. "What all did he say?"

"As of right now I don't have postpartum depression so that's really good." I answered.

"Good." I could see a look of relief cross his face. I knew he had been worried about me at first. The last thing we needed was the both of us to struggle mentally. That would have made things extremely hard at home.

"And there's something else." I spoke once more.

"What is it?" Damon looked at me curiously. "Is everything okay Love?"

I stood up from my chair and made my way to the other side of the desk. His eyes watched me as he tried to figure out what I was doing. He turned in the chair which was perfect for my plans. I smirked seductively as I sat myself in his lap. "I've been given the okay to resume all physical activity."

His eyes instantly looked at me with hunger. He gripped my ass firmly in one of his hands. He had been holding back since we found out Scarlett would be coming early. I knew his desire was still there though. The way he looked at me sometimes I could tell he wanted to bend me over right then and there. A seductive smirk spread over his lips as he looked my body up and down. "Is that so?"
