[AN: Genkei will awaken his past memories(Partially) at age 10. What he will have regardless is the muscle memory he obtained in his years as a pilot. Don't worry, the meat comes soon.]
Genkei has yet to awaken his past memories from the PRIME universe(Non-BETA), many things had happened since his birth, however. Once the shock and mourning for his late mother, Yuki Kouzuki had passed, he and Yuuko were spoilt rotten by their older sisters. It became clear early on that little Mitsuko preferred the company of her little brother Genkei while Motoko preferred playing with Yuuko. With the help of the Takamura family and the Kouzuki Servants, the Kouzuki children grow up in comfort and are loved dearly by the servants in the stead of their parents.
Motoko soon started school at a private all-girls school in Kyoto at the age of six, her intelligence was noticed right away with her reading at high school level in her first year of school. When Takamura Masatada learned of this, he decided to buy extra study materials for the girl and hired tutors for Mitsuko to prepare her before she began school.
Before long 1974 had come and passed, with many changes happening around the world. A second BETA landing unit landed in Athabasca, Saskatchewan, Canada. The United States and Canada have seen what happened in Kashgar, China, and the inability to halt their advance with conventional means, decide to liberally use nuclear weapons, successfully wiping out the BETA in Canada, but leaving near 2/3rds of the country inhabitable due to radiation and nuclear fallout.
Soon after, the United States unveiled the world's first TSF, the F4 Phantom. By offering half-price exports to countries with BETA presence and making the schematics free to all countries, the United States cemented itself as the main exporter of TSF's and indebted the majority of Eurasia and Asia to themselves. The Empire of Japan begins to import a special variant of the F4 Phantom known as the F4J Gekishins along with a specially made Assault Cannon and Sword, the Type-87 Assault Cannon, and Type-74 PB Blade.
The Type-87's G-36 36mm chaingun makes up the bulk of the weapon, with a removable GG-120 120mm cannon attachment on the top front of the Assault Cannon. The weapon with all ammunition magazines loaded carries 2000 36mm chaingun rounds and 6 120mm cannon rounds and improves the maneuverability of TSFs by way of its design, which does not concentrate all of its weight on any single point. The design was created thanks to the collaboration of French and Japanese designers. The Type-74 blade was licensed to the Empire to be constructed domestically due to the priority of exports given to Eurasia. The Type-74 quickly entered the hearts of Japanese Eishi(TSF Pilots).
Along with North America, many countries such as Japan, the Philippines, and Australia begin the arduous tasks of creating a 'Steel Wall' of manned or unmaned forts and weapon emplacements on their coastlines. This endeavor is projected to be finished in 2004 by the Empire.
By October of 1974, the entirety of the middle east was under BETA control. Satellite imagery reveals the BETA constructed a large tower in the Iranian area of Mashhad similar to one in Kashgar, China. The monoliths, now referred to as Hives were labeled H-1 and H-2 respectfully.
By the end of 1975, the BETA clawed at the gates of Moscow, the Soviets relocated their capital to Khabarovsk in the far east, along the Chinese border. The F4 Phantom's weakness to cold weather becomes apparent in the Russian winter, in response, the Soviets develop the MiG-21 Balalaika and export it to their eastern bloc allies, causing tensions to rise between the Soviets and Americans. The Chinese modify the MiG-21 further and begin producing the J-8.
By the end of 1976, the United States realizes that it is incapable of producing enough TSF's to supply the Eurasian fronts, even after beginning the export of the F-5 Freedom Fighter, a repurposed training unit. In response to this, the United States encourages countries to develop and produce their own domestic TSF's. This causes much backlash from European nations, but they can only bite the bullet and begin their own development.
The year is now 1977, and Genkei Kouzuki begins his learning at the Takamura Household.
