Strawberry milk

Most of the students have left the university after finished their last class but not for a student named Jung Daewon. He walked with a burning anger in his heart and he felt like he wanted to punch someone real hard at this point. Not to be forgotten, his right hand was holding a white plastic bag so tightly that causing some of his veins popped out on his muscular arm.

Daewon begins to hate himself, he hates everything about himself. Not far from his point of view, Daewon saw a trashcan located not far from him. Then he wasted no time and headed towards the bin, he tossed the plastic bag into it before he closed the bin again.

"Jung Daewon, I know you are coming from a wealthy family but it doesn't mean that you can throw things as your pleasure"

A voice came from his back and caused him to turn around.

Daewon looked back and saw his friend named Lee Kyungsoo who was standing a few feet away from him. The guy looked confused then he peered into the trashcan to find out what Daewon had just thrown away at the time. This made Daewon feel tensed and he quickly thought of an idea to attract his friend's attention.

"Don't you think peeking into the trashcan kind of suspicious?"

Daewon asked as both his hands were tucked into his jeans pockets.

"Fine, you are right but why did you look so depressed earlier? Something is bothering you Jung Daewon?"

Kyungsoo asked in concern about his friend.

"I'm totally good Lee Kyungsoo and I think you just misunderstood me, I need to go home now so see you tomorrow"

Daewon said before he walked away leaving his friend behind.

Then he arrived at the parking lot of the university and headed straight towards his black luxury vehicle located in a place specially prepared for him by the supervisor of the university. They clearly care about him but Daewon is not at all interested in all the special treatment that has been given to him. He drove his car home and he let a heavy sigh escaped from his mouth when he arrived at his car garage.

Boiling kettle sounds playing in the background along with Han Seoyoo who is in a hurry to turn off the fire so that water does not overflow and make a mess in her kitchen. She had just taken her medicine a few minutes ago but the medicine was still not able to be effective for her fever yet. Seoyoo hissed in pain when her finger accidentally touched the hot kettle and she poured tap water on her injured finger before it got worse.

With a gloomy face, she prepared instant ramen by simply pouring the hot water into the cup and let the noodles be ready after a few minutes so while waiting, Seoyoo was able to complete her assignment. As the girl was busy slurping the ramen noodles while doing her assignments all of a sudden, Cha Woohyun's face crossed her mind making the hand that was writing on her assignment paper stop.

The red hue began to appear on both sides of her cheeks before Seoyoo slapped herself slowly so that she could concentrate on completing all her tasks before the given due date. Cha Woohyun's smile had made her mesmerized and this caused the girl to shake her head to remove the thought away before she began to lose her focus. However, it didn't last long before she started grinning to herself as she played with the fork she was holding in the ramen cup.

She thought about how nice it would be to meet the nice guy again tomorrow at university and thinking about it had made the girl feel slightly embarrassed. The girl poked her cheeks slowly enough to make her gather all her courage to head to the kitchen and wash the cutlery she used earlier after she tidied up the table she used to do the assignment. As soon as Seoyoo dries her hand with a few pieces of tissue and she throws the tissues into the trashcan before she opens the fridge to find a cold drink that can wet her throat.

Then her eyes landed on a carton of drinks which was her favorite strawberry milk. This made her recall about the earlier incident at in front of the library where the guy gave her the same drink as a sign of their friendship. With a small smile etched on the girl's lips, she picked up the carton of the drink and headed straight to her bedroom.

"you barely know each other Han Seoyoo! You should not agree to be friends with him in the first place!"

She heard a voice cross her mind.

"but Woohyun seems nice, he doesn't treat me like any other student"

Seoyoo responded to her negative thoughts.

She sighed when she was finally able to lie down on her bed after facing another challenging day in her life. Seoyoo placed a pillow under her head comfortably before she turned her body to look out the window where she could see the dark sky accompanied by hundreds of stars from outer space. It has become her habit to stare out the window at night because she feels like she is looking at her own parents whom she herself believes they are resting up there.

Soft sobs can be heard coming from the girl who was wiping away her fresh tears falling from the dam of her eyes as she was afraid of her parents would see her crying alone, she needed to be strong for both of them. It would be a complete lie if she said that she did not miss them because during the 16 years of her life, both her parents cared for her lovingly even though their family was not living under a roof of bungalow but her father never gave up on raising his only beloved daughter. With a final grunt, she gets under the cover and makes herself comfortable. After all, she wants to prevent herself from crying because she knows the next day she will look like a living corpse.
