the infirmary

Gently, Daewon rubs on the patch to make sure that it covered the wound well before he backed away. A series of cough escaped his mouth when he realized himself staring at the unconscious girl laying on the bed. The male swallowed audibly making his adam apple moved as he tore his sight away.

"I'm not sure whether to call you naive or stupid to fall into his trap Han Seoyoo"

He said while pinching the edge of his nose to ease his headache.

The girl had seemed to take forever to wake up but Daewon did not even complain anything about that. He sat silently next to the bed and when he began to get bored, he fished his smartphone from his pocket as he tried to kill his boredom by scrolling down his social media. Nothing seemed successful to grab his attention until the university's website link came to his view.

"what the hell now?"

He mumbled with a frown plastered all over his face.

Not even a minute waiting, the video of the incident earlier displayed on his phone screen. He played the video and watch it until the end before he scoffed in disbelief. The other students from the photography club seemed to chase popularity by posting everything about the poor girl all over the page just to be laughed at.

His eyes landed once again on the girl before he headed towards the door frame and leave.  He was supposed to attend his class now but he got no idea why he was staying with the girl that hates him the most. The hallway seemed empty when Daewon walked along since the other students were probably in their respective classes right now.

It didn't take too long for Daewon the reach the principal office and knocked on the door twice. He does not wait for the response from the principal himself and casually steps inside the room, startling the middle aged man who was doing his paperwork on his office table.

"Jung Daewon? What brings you here?"

The older said as he placed the papers aside and offering Daewon a seat across him.

Instead of answering, the male took a seat and look at the principal with a frown plastered all over his face. Both of them did not exchange words causing the room to be filled with an uncomfortable silence.

"Who is the principal?"

Daewon asked, leaning his back against the chair while the older raised an eyebrow at him.

"I'm the principal here, young man and why are you looking for me?"

While in the other hand, a soft groan escaped from the girl who just woke up from her unconscious state. She then scanned her surrounding before she assumed that she is at the infirmary. Seoyoo rose her hands up to feel the patch covering on her forehead where is the wound located and hissed in pain.

A wet cloth soaked in a bowl filled with ices and cold water placed on the small table near her bed before she cupped her cheeks, feeling the burning pain on her skin lessens. However, her right wrist was still bruised badly showing some ugly purple with bluish color mixed on her light snowy white skin causing the girl to sigh in frustration. Carefully, the girl stepped her foot on the tiled floor following by the other one and walked to the table where she spotted a clipboard with something was written all over the front page.

"Nurse on duty had an emergency leaving? Then who was treating my wounds just now?"

She asked herself as she began to feel curious.

The girl could not help but think about who was nice enough to treat her when she was losing consciousness. Every student will not pay so much care to her and they perhaps never care if she died by the incident earlier. She was getting hit by the guy she almost trusts from the bottom of her heart. Seoyoo burst into sobs at her own thoughts before she moved to the bed once again and pick up her belongings.

Not in the mood for attending classes anymore so she just quickly leaving the campus. Hopefully, she will not catch the attention of some other students. Seoyoo walks towards the bus stop with her weak legs and she needs to spend hours to reach there with her condition, not minding the way people look at her patched up face as if they were judging her silently.

Seoyoo felt exhausted, she believed that she left no energy anymore by walking from the campus to the bus stop without stopping anywhere. She sat on the single seat of the bus and wait until the bus reaches her destination that took almost a quarter of an hour.

The ride was finally stopped and the girl wastes no time stepping down from the bus, thanking the driver softly. She looks around her surroundings and took a deep breath. Her steps were slow as her pair of eyes focused on the ground, refusing to make eye contact with some strangers.

Out of a sudden, her stomach growled causing the girl to stumble on her feet accidentally. Seoyoo gritted her teeth and luckily she spotted a long bench not really far from. where she is standing right now. Her body relaxed when she finally took a seat on the bench alone as she was silently admiring the blue skies. Another growling sound breaking the silence making the girl sighed. The savory smell coming from the nearby small restaurant didn't help her either.

"No Han Seoyoo, if you buy the food now you will not able to pay the bills later"

The girl told to herself with closed eyes, trying to gain her strength to deal with her empty stomach.

Seoyoo sighed for the tenth time as she slowly stands up from the bench. She was walking with the little energy left in her body and trying to distract herself from smelling the food coming from the restaurant again.
