Day 0
Fafner's POV
It's a bright morning but you probably wouldn't be able to tell because of how the sky glows a radiant light pink, it is a unique feature of planet Titan, my home planet and the home planet of many other species
Also being the d-day at the Atari force base for this is the day when I and 9 other strangers will venture out into deep space on a mission we know nothing of.
I enter a little office of the large building where me and my new 'crewmates' will meet for the first time and have a final contact with other living beings other than ourselves before we leave for our mission. I enter and see only 5 other people have arrived.
At least I'm not the last one in.
Were all wearing our individual space suits in our own individual colours to help us differentiate ourselves better while I'm in an all black spacesuit which is a contrast with my slightly pale skin with curved horns on my head of black hair and dark eyes which adds to my scary height and muscular build that shows off my Eniripsa descent. I see another person in brown nearby with bear-like ears on top of her head who's most likely of Nokosi heritage.
Good I'm not the only non human in this circle of strangers.
It gives me a sense of comfort for an unknown reason but I don't have the slightest bit of interest with attaching or associating myself with any of these people I just want to finish this childish mission successfully and leave as soon as possible. I just stand quietly in the corner and look over everyone analyzing each of them until a door at the corner opens up and someone in purple comes out with their helmet on but I could tell that the person was male from his stature. He looked quite slender but he gave off an indifferent aura as he walked off to a seat, my attention is quickly taken away from me when a different person from the same room signals me into the room as I follow swiftly.
The room is a basic office with a man sitting on a chair with a flash of hesitation on his face until he looks at me and immediately stands up.
"Fafner Conti, a pleasure to make your acquaintance" he greeted while I give a simple nod to him.
"I'm someone whose name you don't really need to know for what I'm about to tell you" he took a short pause as if bracing himself for what he's about to say "You have been chosen by the Atari agency to be a spy, an imposter if you'd like to call it. We need you to sabotage and 'take care' of some of the crewmates on this little test we're running on with you people" I frown at what he just said "and you don't want me exposing what happened two years ago right?" when he said that I abruptly look at him in shock and a bit of anger.
"How do you know about that" I exclaim coming close to strangling him against the wall.
"Let's just say I have my connections. Your two year probation from space activities spent in rehab-" I scoff cutting him off
More like a hell asylum
"I'm just giving you a simple task here Fafner and plus you don't have to kill all of them off they're just some new special recruits who will be going through some challenges in space which they are still not aware of"
"What do I get out of this" I ask
"A real chance in coming back to space duties" he replies. My eyes widen a little bit because of what he said, remembering all the pleading and promises I've made to my ex supervisor about me going clean and never repeating the same mistake and immediately being let down with the same sentence 'you're not ready' and being abandoned in the same white walls for a very very long time...
"I'll do it" I quickly blurt out not being able to hold myself back. He smirks in response looking victorious.
"Well then this meeting is over I'm glad it could go so smoothly and I wish you the best of luck. Oh and also-" he pauses and walks beside me for a second
"Do not get caught" he finishes before walking out of the office. I let out a little sigh before following him out of the office to see the remaining three members of this 'experiment' arriving.
"Okay welcome you three you will be briefed on the mission for you all will depart in a few minutes so follow me everyone" he said while the three newcomers waited behind for a bit.
We got to a big spacious quarter with a large spaceship in the middle while everyone excluding me and the guy from before gasps in fascination and amazement as a few of them even start running to the opened entrance of the spaceship.
"All your luggage has been packed for you on the spaceship for you and extra accommodation to help you complete your mission in space" he says as he leads us into the spaceship and the other three members appear behind us quickly. Suddenly someone in the pink spacesuit raises her hands before putting them down in embarrassment and just directly speaking.
"What exactly is our mission" she questions the creepy looking male who just smirks in return before making his way to the command center and speaking through the mic.
"You'll know when you get there, you'll all know now please get fully suited, take your seats and get ready for take off." He plainly replies, some of them look nervous, excited or indifferent in the purple guy's case before they quickly put on their helmets and take their seats on the chairs according to their designated colours.
The entrance closes and everywhere goes silent until the screen in front of us starts to show the countdown till take off.

And loud engines filtered by the ship's walls go off and the spaceship lifts up swiftly and exits through the opening on the ceiling and flies through the atmosphere of Titan to an unknown destination.
