Chapter 5 - The fall of the Crystal Pack

A whole four months pass by without me realising it. But that has probably got something to do with the fact I've been busy with pack work. I've been training Mia, Having one on ones with each pack member to see how they are faring with the pack workouts. Plus I have pack paperwork to go through. So all in all my days are pretty busy enough to make me not realise what day it is.

I groan as my ankle is grabbed and I'm dragged down the bed by none other than Eros.

"No! Let me go! I had to work late last night so I could get through that mountain of paperwork I had. I'm sure workouts can survive without me for at least one day" I say to him while trying to kick his hand of my ankles but I have no success.

"Training finished like three hours ago, DiDi. We let you sleep in since you were up until 2 in the morning. However, you shouldn't still be feeling this tired though. Something's wrong. We need to get you to Alice now" Eros says making me whine at him.

"I'm fine. It's nothing. I've just hardly slept, that is all. A good night's rest and I will be fine once again" I explained trying to make him go away.

"No, it's not fine Diana. We are taking you to see Alice right now" Eros commands making me growl slightly. He picks me up making me look up at him with a tired glare. He walks out of my room and down the stairs.

"Eros!" I whine giving him my puppy dog eyes.

"You know they don't work on me, DiDi. Especially when I know something is wrong with you" Eros says as he walks into the Doc's house.

"Eros what are you... Alpha! Oh, my goddess! Quickly, put her down on the bed" I hear Alice's voice.

"Doc what is wrong with her?" Eros asks however I don't have the energy to open my eyes. I feel myself being placed on a bed before Alice speaks up. "Niyah got hurt on patrol last night. I've had to put her in a mini coma until she heals properly. If we don't do something now, Diana will fall into one as well" Alice explains and it seems to wake my wolf up. My eyes spring open as I sit up in the bed. I feel Gia sharing control with me and smile slightly. I look towards Alice as she gasps. I then look into the mirror and see one of my eyes is their normal colour were as the other is the yellow of my wolf's.

"Gia, what's wrong?" Eros asks and I look towards him. I allow Gia to speak through my mouth.

"It's not just me Eros. Me and Diana are sharing control" Gia explains to him before turning back to Alice. Both of our minds are already set on one thing, making sure Niyah is alright.

"Where is Niyah?" Gia asks Alice, getting straight to the point.

"This way" Alice whispers out before standing and hurrying out the room, me and Eros following quickly after her. How didn't I notice the link that me and Niyah share is so weak? I step into the room Alice shows to me and what I see has me whimpering. Niyah is lying on the bed with a load of tubes and wires coming out of her. Cuts and bruises cover her body making me pissed.

"Who did this to her?" I ask all the while a growl starting in my chest.

"Only James knows who did this as he was the one who found her. He seems to be emotionally unstable. Which is understandable. But what isn't understandable is what he keeps mumbling out. He keeps saying it's the same pack who took everything from him" Alice explains and my eyes widen to the point it looks like I have no eyelid.

"He keeps mumbling it," Kylian says as he walks into the room.

"Crystal Pack" I mumble out. I clench my hands as I feel Gia's anger getting stronger like a volcano that's about to erupt and trust me no one wants that to happen, not even me. And she is my wolf side. Don't worry Gia. They are going to pay for what they have done. I'm sick of them hurting other wolves just for the fun of it I link with Gia. I feel her retreat into the back of my mind to rest knowing I will need her energy for the fight.

"Kylian, Eros. Round up all the pack, this is war" I growl out the command.

"Are you sure this is wise, DiDi?" Kylian asks, I growl and turn towards them feeling my eyes turning between red and my normal eyes, signaling my Lycon is about to break free. Eros steps in front of Kylian, protecting him from me. I don't blame him, It's a mate's instinct to protect.

"They hurt not only my pack member and destined sister but also my family. And for that, I won't show them any mercy. For what reason are they doing this? For fun, out of habit, or just because they want to. I want them taken out now. I've had enough of waiting. Alice, please take care of Niyah, Mia, and her mate for me while I am gone" I say turning to face Alice.

"Sure thing," Alice says nodding knowing better than to contradict me right now.

"Alpha think about what you are doing?" Eros says.

"I am thinking. And I'm done letting them kill people for fun. It's time we take them out. Now where in the name of the goddess is James?" I ask. Eros sighs before pinching the bridge of his nose.

"He's locked himself in his room. Kylian's been trying to get him out for the past two hours but nothing is working" Eros answers. I nod and walk towards the door. I then turn to face them.

"Have everyone ready to go in ten minutes. I will get James to come out of his room" I command. I then run back towards the house and James' room.

I arrive at James' bedroom door and knock on it. It's silent for a while so I knock once more.

"Who is it?" I hear James ask. His voice cracks at the end making it known that he is either still crying or he has been crying.

"James. It's Diana. Niyah will pull through, I just know she will. Right now though I need your help. I need you to get ready and come with me. I'm done letting the Crystal Pack have their fun. It's time they are taken out for good" I call through the door. I really wish I could have said this to his face instead of at a closed door. I suddenly hear shuffling before the door unlocking. It swings open and in its place stands a puffy eyes James.

"You're telling the truth right. We can finally get rid of that good for nothing, evil pack?" James asks me and I see a speck of light in his sad eyes.

"Have I ever lied to you? Yes, I'm telling you the truth. No one hurts my family and gets away with it. Now go take a shower, you stink. Then meet me downstairs in front of the house in ten minutes" I demand leaving no room for question. He nods and closes the door making me smirk. I then make my way outside where I see the whole pack waiting, looking confused. I sigh and stretch my muscles before looking at Mia and Alice as they walk over to me. "Please don't do this Diana. Niyah will pull through. You know this, so don't go on a killing spree because of it. You don't even know it was the Crystal Pack that hurt Niyah" Mia says which slightly pisses my wolf off but I push it down ignoring her, which I will probably regret on a later date. Alice shakes her head as Mia glances over at her, as if to say, I'm not getting on her bad side. Which is a good choice to make, on her part, right now.

"Yes, I do know it was them. The Crystal Pack is where James is originally from. They killed his parents all because they wouldn't kill a rouge. He left then and there. Every pack has its own unique marking. Ghost pack is the only one who doesn't because we weren't made like all the rest. James was with Niyah when she was attacked and he recognised their marking. It was the Crystal Pack mark. Furthermore, I have been planning to take the Crystal Pack out for a very long time. I've just been putting it off and wasting my time until I had a good enough reason to do it. Now, go to your mate. He needs you" I say before walking to the front so everyone can see me.

"Alright, everyone... listen up!" I call out. Everywhere goes quiet, instantly.

"Now that I have everyone's attention. Crystal Pack has hurt one of our own which means war. When we get to the camp we will devise a plan of action. I will make it my duty to kill the alpha. No one is to be sloppy in the fighting. Do I make myself clear?" I ask them just as James comes to stand by my side. I squeeze his arm in comfort before taking off my clothes and shifting into my black wolf with gold markings.

I smile and swish my tail before running toward Crystal Pack borders. James go get the rogues that are indebted to you. We may need their help. Take Lacie and Oliver with you as well I link with all three of them. All three of them split off to go find the rogues as we carry on running.



A whole day passes and we are now close to Crystal Pack borders. I sigh and look up at the sky.

"Please be alright Niyah. You have to get through this for all of us" I say out into the wind. I then sigh and shift into my human form. I quickly place some clothes on before walking towards Eros and Kylian.

"James should be arriving back here soon with 6 other rogues. Meanwhile, could you split the team into a bigger group and a slightly smaller group?" I ask them.

"Okay, Alpha" Kylian replies making me sigh at him calling me alpha.

"I'm sorry about before guys I just... I don't want... I can't lose her. She's the one I've known the longest" I say as tears reach my eyes.

"Hey, don't cry. She will make it because she is strong. I mean who wouldn't be with a friend like you. Now hug us" Kylian says. I run into their open arms. After a while, I pull back with a sigh.

"Come on, Let's go scout out the pack and find out how we are going to end them without casualties on our part," I say to them. They smirk and we walk towards the border. I look around and shake my head. What idiots I hear Gia say in my head and I chuckle.

"Stupid fools. The tree line doesn't even stop at their border or before their border. You could easily... I know how we are going to do this and it will be the easiest takedown of a pack we've ever had" I say before running back to the others. Once we reach the camp I call everyone over and see James, Olivia, and Lacie is back with the rouges.

"Alright, listen up everyone, here is the plan. By now the Crystal Pack will already know about me being mates with the alpha of the Dark Hallow Pack which means he doesn't know I have a pack of my own. Element of surprise, do you remember your training for that?" I ask everyone.

"Yes alpha" I hear everyone call.

"Eros and Kylian will be leading the two teams. The Crystal Pack already knows about James so he will be with me. Right down to the important parts of the plan. Twenty minutes before the attack Eros' team will climb into the trees and jump across the border and over to a clearing that all packs have for these types of meetings. Surround it. Create a circle, just like in training. You've done this plenty of times so no mistakes. Kylian's team will be going towards Crystal pack's packhouse. Once Kylian hears James' howl he will know when to be killing. Eros' group, your signal will be when my eyes flash red. Everyone okay with the plan?" I ask making sure everyone understands so there will be no mistakes. Mistakes can cost a life. Everyone nods their heads. I yawn and look up through the tree leaves to see the sky darkening.

"Alright, everyone climb the trees and try to get some sleep. We all need to be well-rested for tomorrow. Remember mistakes can cost someone their life" I give the last warning before I climb into a tree with James, Eros, and Kylian.

"That is a good plan but what will we be doing?" James asks and I smirk.

"We will be diverting the pack's attention away from the packhouse. All warriors have to be there when rouges enter a territory as well as their alpha. So we will be leading them away from the packhouse so it easier for Kylian to attack" explain still smirking. James high fives me just as we hear the howl of the Crystal Pack wolves. This is going to be a long night.



By the time it comes to put the plan in action, I can already sense James' nerves. I sigh and squeeze his hand making him look at me.

"Are you going to be okay?" I ask him. He nods before answering, "Yeah, I need to do this. Not just for me but for Niyah as well". I smile and nod.

"For Niyah then" I then say before turning to look at Eros.

"Okay everyone, in and out like ghosts. No mistakes. I don't want to see any of you die so soon. Eros, be safe" I say looking at him worried.

"Always am, after all, you keep me on my toes," He says making me chuckle before he climbs a tree with his group and starts to jump. It's silent for another ten minutes. It's always like this before a take-out. Everyone is fully committed. Finally, ten minutes go by and I look at Kylian as he gets ready to go.

"Stay safe," I say to him. He smirks and holds up the peace sign.

"Always" he then says before he says "Stay safe" to me as well. I smile before I answer with "Always". I guess you could say it's kind of a promise the three of us make every time we split up. I watch silently as Kylian climbs a tree and gets going. After another ten minutes both me and James run into the pack lands. Instantly I feel a change in the atmosphere. They have sensed us trespassing. I turn with James and run towards the clearing. We stop in the middle of the clearing when we see the alpha and his warriors standing at the far end waiting. I stop the smirk from appearing on my face.

"This is why I don't like rouges. They're too damn stupid" the alpha says and I tilt my head to the side. Why is he already so pissed off. What was in his coffee this morning?

"We only want to talk" I speak up.

"What is it you filthy rouge?" a man who smells like the head warrior asks stepping forward slightly. He's too damn thirsty for a fight. How is he the head warrior when he is like that? I hear James' growl but I hold up my hand silencing it.

"Well, you obviously don't recognise the guy standing right behind me, do you? Pity. You killed his parents" I say as James stands with an unemotional face once again.

"James. James Hendrickson" the alpha growls out making me smirk slightly. Well, that was quick.

"Yeah, that is correct. Three nights ago you seriously injured his mate and my pack member. His mate also happens to be my destined sister" I say growling. Out of the corner of my eye, I see James looking slightly confused at why I would give out that information. But what does it matter the alpha and his pack will soon be too dead to tell anyone about me.

"Destined sister? That means..." I cut the alpha off.

"Yup. I'm the last female Lycon. Oh and by the way I'm not alone!" I call out letting my eyes shift to the red of my Lycons. I watch silently as Eros' team drops down trapping them in the clearing. I stroll towards the alpha as he shifts. I roll my eyes. Does he really think he can take on a female Lycon? Let's see him try. I dodge him as he launches himself at me.

"Don't kill them. Just restrain them" I command my pack.

"I want them all to listen as their loved ones are ripped apart" I then add on as I pin the alpha to the ground. Some are begging me not to do this but it only makes me despise them more. How many rouges had begged them to let them live but their please were ignored. I look at them with unemotional eyes. "You shouldn't have hurt my family and killed so many others just for the fun of it. It's time you pay for your evil deeds. Let's hope the moon goddess forgives you for what you have done" I say to them before looking over at James and nodding my head. James smirks before he howls. I smile when I hear Kylian howl back, signaling the start. Screams and growls fill the air. One by one all the warriors scream and cry. I watch as the alpha growls and cries as his family is killed. I hear Kylian's howl signaling that he's finished.

"Kill them all" I then command. One by one all the warriors are killed by the snap of their neck.

"Bye, bye alpha," I say just before I snap his neck. Just as I get up and stretch I feel Kylian enter my mind. 'Diana, Eros! We have a problem. Dark Hallow pack and alpha are still here. The..' his mind link is suddenly cut off making me panic slightly. I look towards Eros before I take off into the woods, towards where Kylian is. What I see makes me want to kill. The rest of my pack have managed to escape but Kylian is on the floor, Unconcious, and what looks like blood coming from his head. My mate is about to kill him. I growl harshly and feel my clothes ripping as I shift. I charge into my mate making him hit a tree. He stands and growls at me as I stand in front of Kylian.

"Kylian, Baby, stay with me" I hear Eros saying behind me. I link with his mind, 'Eros get you and Kylian away from here. Get him checked out at the camp. I will follow you shortly. 'Alright, Just stay safe' he answers me back making me smile and link him 'Always'. I then hear him pick Kylian up and take off away from me. I growl back at my mate who looks slightly taken back by it. What? Did he not think I would be able to hold my ground. I move backward as Dark Hallow pack move towards me.

"So you are the ghost pack," Jaxon says. I feel my tongue slip out my mouth before I quickly turn and use all my power to jump into a tree. I then jump from tree to tree in the opposite direction that my camp is. When I am sure I have lost them I turn back and jump down before running to camp with only one thought on my mind. 'Is Kylian okay?'

Once I arrive I quickly make my way to Eros who is tending to Kylian. I shift and kneel beside him.

"Is he okay?" I ask.

"He's fine, they just cut off his oxygen. The blood on his head wasn't his. He is passed out for the time being. Are we heading back? I would still like for him to get checked out fully by Alice" Eros asks.

"Sure Ros. We can head back now if you want" I say standing to full height and stretching. I smile as he hands me a dress off of a tree stump before frowning when I realise the colours.

"James knew you would need something to wear when you get back here and that you would come to see if Kylian was okay so he left them here for you" Eros explains and I smile.

"I better go check on the rest of the pack and see how they are doing," I say as I slip the dress on. Eros chuckles as I scrunch my nose at the bright colours making me glare at him slightly.

"Don't laugh at me Ros" I growl out.

"I knew you would scrunch your nose at the bright colours but actually seeing you doing it made me laugh," He says and I frown walking away as he continues to laugh. I check on all my pack members to find only a few have cuts and bruises but none have lost their lives. Good. I then notice James sitting, alone, near a pond and walk over to him. I sit beside him before asking "How are you holding up?".

"It's finally over. They are finally gone" James says finally smiling, I smile towards him before looking down at my stomach as it grumbles. I then punch James in the arm.

"See I told you I would kill them all. Now come on Eros wants to get Kylian checked out so we are all heading back... Plus I'm hungry" I say to him as I stand and stretch.

"You're hungry again?" James asks as he too stands and stretches.

"Hey, It's not my fault, I hardly ate this morning," I say back to him. I notice the slight roll of his eyes before he replies "I don't understand women sometimes". We both then join with the rest of the pack as we start making our way back to our pack lands.
