Mountain Man: 4

Normally Claire had a problem sleeping in a new environment the first night, but some thing about this new home of hers allowed her to fall asleep quickly and soundly. The soft ring of her alarm woke her at 8:30 as she had planned. She didn't want to miss out of the couple free days she had before term started. She got dressed and noted that it appeared her roommate never showed up the night prior. Pouring a small bowl of cereal she fingered opened her laptop and googled the area.

~You know, Kate probably knows some great places being a local and all. Too early to wake her, maybe later~. It didn't take long for Claire to find a public Park with a big open lake. ~Bingo~. She finished her cereal grabbed a granola bar, bottle of water, and laptop to get some e-reading done while sight seeing. Phone on and turned to her new favorite radio station compliments of Kate, she walked out the door.

The park was four miles off campus but the lake was another two miles deep. Claire was used to walking every where or using public transportation so the trek didn't bother her at all. It was further than she anticipated so she'd have to return sooner than she hoped but it was worth it. The park had hills, plenty trees, and rocks to climb over. The fresh air alone soothes her. Finally coming to the lake she was met with a large body of water. On one side a soft waterfall coming from the stream that emptied into the lake from the mountain and the other a small stream for over flow leading to the river going down into the nearby valley.

The sky was perfectly over cast, the breeze under the trees cooled the hot summer heat, it was just perfect. Finding a spot to settle herself she pulled out her computer and loaded her general chemistry downloaded book to start. It was the one class Kate and her didn't share so it wouldn't hurt to study without her. Cracking open her bottle of water and nibbling on her granola bar Kate lost herself in the structure of an atom and the periodic table.

Pacing back and forth under the camouflage of the trees across the lake, he seethed at her ability to completely ignore him. His paws making no sound in the soft brush from the pine trees above him. ~Notice me!~ He fought the urge to run out into the sun to force her attention. Her scent was faint from across the lake but it was as if he was sitting next to her to him. She wore cheap brand lotion and conditioner that to any other untrained nose they'd miss HER SCENT. It was heavenly- exotic- seductive- ~MINE~.

Dom edged closer down the tree line. It was against the rules of the pack to be out in wolf form like this during daylight hours but Ben text him saying Claire had left the campus he'd nearly gone wild. Andre tried to reel him back in but she'd gotten under his skin so fast he couldn't escape. ~LOOK AT ME!~

Over the next hour he'd pace and pace and edge closer and closer. He couldn't understand how she was ignoring him. ~Unless... it's not possible... unless she really can't sense me...~. Realization overcoming him. Going to a familiar tree he knew kept a spare stash of cloths in it for him he shifted back and put on the T-shirt and shorts. ~You will notice me Claire Smith~.

"The atomic number is..." her head snapped up at the sound of the tree branch snapping behind her. "Whose there?" She whirled around to be confronted with the source. She'd been so absorbed in her studies she didn't even notice the giant man approaching her until he was only five feet behind her. "Who...". His striking eyes bore into her, not like the rest of his gorgeous frame didn't. He was tall, easily 6'3" or 6'4" and strong, muscles well defined even through the T-shirt he wore. Long black hair messily combed back out of his beautiful night emerald green eyes which stood out next to his tanned skin. ~Sweet Jesus...~. Not many men intimidated Claire but this one definitely shook her central nervous system in more ways than one.

He bore his teeth at her startling her and making her step back from him further. "You can't sense it"! He was mad, he seemed very mad and she had no idea why.

"Look I don't know who you are, but I'm just going to grab my things and go". Reaching carefully for her bag to not set him off more. She couldn't leave her stuff behind, not when it was all her valuable belongings she owned in this world. As she slid the computer softly into the bag she went to swing the bag on her shoulders and felt the weight leave her hand and suddenly he was there, in her face. "Don't act dumb Claire"! His hand grabbing her forearm and she pulled back in shock. She was about to protest when he pulled her hard and crushed her body into his. "I don't appreciate your act". Lost for words all she could do was look up into his eyes. She wanted to react to the male, but instantly she was frighteningly aware she didn't know what kind of reaction that was. Licking her lips to help find the words she seemed to have forgotten, his eyes glued to her smokey grey pair. A groan escaped his lips before his fingers tangled into her hair pull her lips to his.

She'd never been kissed before, not once, and here she found herself kissing this wild man in the middle of the woods. She out her hands onto his chest to push away as he softly nibbled her lower lip causing her the gasp giving him the perfect opportunity to deepen the kiss and explore her. What strength she had to push off him melted as his tongue glided across hers tasting her, savoring her. She felt helpless to the invasion and helpless to the desire it awoke in her.

When he finally loosened on her hair and let her up for air he pulled her tight into his embrace. Panting from the oral marathon she'd just run and the internal storm her hormones now raged she demanded, "who the fuck do you think you are"!

A deep rumble in his chest and he laughed before saying, "doesn't matter who I am, You are MINE"! Fury ripped through all the previous emotions/hormones/desires. ~I AM NOT PROPERTY~. Her knee came up hard and fast, right where it counted. As he dropped to his knees, howling in pain, Claire grabbed her bag and bolted from the park. ~FUCK YOU Mountain man!~ She did not stop, she did not slow down. She only rested when she'd made it safely back onto campus. She was hungry and thirsty but she needed to get this feeling off of herself. She beelined for her dorm and the showers.

After a deep cleanse and changing her outfit she text Kate asking her to join her for lunch. Together they walked to the cafeteria and Claire told her about her crazy morning and inquired how often strange encounters happened like that around here.

"Uhhh I'd avoid Moon Stone Park..." Kate went on and tried changing the subject but Claire couldn't let it go.

"The park is beautiful, someone just needs to take care of the crazy wild mountain men. Seriously, who just lets psychos out and about like that"? When Kate didn't reply she turned to look to see what the problem was as was met with emerald green eyes.

"I do". His arms crossed over his chest and a look on his face that could kill. "My name is Dominick and I'm the law here". Kate stood back obviously showing Claire she was in deeper water than she realized. ~SHIT~.
