Car accident

Being in a taxi was relief, considering that now I can sleep at least for two hours before reaching my hotel room in Istanbul. I remember the very first day, when I became a auditor, feeling proud and now thinking about upcoming project, that was assigned to me, a simple girl from Russia with a huge dream that came true or was very close to come true. My eyes were closing, I was feeling how exhausted I got, but it is going to worth it. Had no idea, when exactly I fell asleep in taxi and the next moment I was dreaming and seeing in my dream flash of light, hearing screams and stillness...

I opened my eyes and felt strike of pain in left hand and could feel both legs trembling from pain and a severe headache. I had no idea where am I, but could hear young women saying, "She opened her eyes, hurry up, let's check". Through pain it was difficult to define where I was and who were the women next to me checking me, I tried to talk:

- "I... pain ..." - each word gave me a strike of headache.

- "Shht ... don't bother yourself, you got injured in a car accident, please try not to talk, you are in a hospital." – nurse said and I nodded.

- "We can see you are trembling from pain, I will increase dose of painkiller now, try to sleep."

Next moment, the nurse injected medicine and I've started to feel how my eyes were closing. I fall asleep.

When I woke up, I barely could remember what happened. I could see a guy, not familiar to me, sitting next to me in a couch with closed eyes. This tan skinned man has a square face, a straight nose, thin lips. His black hair was short, frizzy and was unkempt and he had a short beard. He had muscular arms and a wide torso. He was not a hospital staff, but I didn't care as I felt thirst and tried to reach to the water bottle next to me, when I did, I felt pain in right hand and couldn't keep the bottle, it fell down. Guy sitting next to me stood up right away to the sound and looked at me with worry in his eyes.

- "Are you okay?! How do you feel? Do you want me to call nurses?" - he asked in worry.

- "No, thank you." – I said tiredly. The next moment he realized that I failed to take water, so he took it, opened and kneeled down to help me to drink it. I could smell his fresh cologne. Who was he, I wondered. After drinking water I thanked him, he took the bottle from me and helped to put it aside. – "Who are you?" – I asked.

- "I am the reason why you are here." – he sat on the stool next to me and by saying these words looked sad. – "I didn't see taxi coming and crashed into it. The only injured was you, I truly feel sorry and don't know how I can help you to release your pain, but I am ready to pay for all the hospital costs..." - He was not looking into my eyes, but I could feel how sorry he was. As a person who believes in fate, I was feeling warmth towards him. I believed that he was not the one to blame, what happened should have happened. Then, I realized that I had a project and had to call my parents, they went crazy, if I was in hospital for too long without notifying.

- "Umm, do you know where my mobile phone is?"

- "Oh, yes... wait, I will bring it to you." - He stood up, took my handbag and brought it to me. As my left hand was plastered with using one hand I found my phone in the bag and looked at the time. 7 hours passed from the time I was in taxi and seeing lots of calls made me feel truly worried. I started to call everyone, to notify that I was okay.
