Chapter 31

I caught Elodie as she was falling tenderly and put her in my room, over my pillow. She was in deep sleep. It was expected. Spirits can't sleep but on Earth, it's a predicament that shows the lack of the moon energy. A way to restore the moon energy slowly but it takes time.

Wait, could it be that when she disappeared she was restoring her energy? But why was she staying? Could it be she is here for me?

The thought made me slightly happy. I watched her small figure sleeping soundly as I thought how she was my friend, not Anais friend but my friend. I felt a sense of ownership over her. I was the one who befriended her and she was a brilliant moon saint; she had potential to be the best.

Why did she help Darcie? This question put in me in a state of confusion. Moon saints don't involve themselves in human lives. Even if one saw someone dying, she wouldn't help him. It was forbidden to do that. It raised the risk for being detected.
