Chapter 60

The things I told him still replayed in my mind; I felt weird and awkward. It was something I never planned to do and also the moment we shared. I felt it; he was sweet and understanding. I think I am ready to know of the sides he talked about; he said it was the first time he would do something like this. Even if the words sounded cheesy and surreal, something in me wanted to believe him.

There was something odd inside my apartment as if something changed. My eyes swept the place with a swoop but it felt the same with a feeling of change. I don't know what changed until Darcie came out of her room to check on me; she smiled as she saw me and wrapped her arms around me. Unlike in the past when I didn't give it back, I just hugged her back tightly.

"Were you with him?" she giggled.

"I don't know what you are talking about," I averted my gaze but we soon shared the same laugh. "Are you alright? I didn't see you for what seems an eternity."
