Chapter 69

Amidst the dark clouds in the sky, thunderclaps sent shiver down my spine and the blue flashes of lightning could be seen. But it was nothing compared to what I felt at the moment. I got out from the house again after carefully evading the bodyguards eyes but I still got one on my back. I was carefully walking back when I spotted an injured cat with a thick black fur and sharp red eyes; its appearance gave me the vibes of Claude.

I stared at the sky for a while before picking the injured cat and hid from the rain that submerged the while city. It stared into the distance without making a single sound; I had to check it several times whether it was breathing or not. I crouched, waiting for the run to stop or alleviate. The bodyguard that followed me for a while stood next to me, his eyes on the road picking up the silhouettes running in the rain. I sighed.

"I wonder how much time it will keep raining."

Silence.
