[The Test]: Part Two

"Alright, you both have one minute," Jay Mayleen said. "Fight."

Rattling of chains echoed through the training hall as the blade pierced the air with blurring speed. Diah didn't want to play any games with this man. Although, Diah won't kill him, she would just give him a little scare.

"Woah!" Batu hastily rolled out of the way, as the chained blade made a small tear in his jacket. He dodged and rolled repeatedly as Diah's chained blade whipped across the room, slicing and dicing through air.

"C'mon, ballerina!" Diah shouted at him. "Keep dancing for me!" She quickly yanked the chain back. The blade whizzed back around and slithered towards him again.

"Ngh," Batu groaned. A small wound opened up around his ribs as trickles of blood poured down. He knelt down on one knee, looking back up at Diah, "Oi, are ya tryin' to kill me, woman?"

"Unfortunately, I can't, big guy," Diah spun the chained blade over her head. "But that doesn't mean I can't cut you up like a birthday cake."

"You're one crazy son of a bitch."

The crowd enthusiastically cheered on Diah, calling out for his blood. Then, Diah swung her chain again; she knew this one was going to cut him up good.

"Let's go, Diah!" Emiko shouted with her fist raise. "Get his damn ass!"

However, her blade sliced thin pieces of hair as Batu ducked away at the last second. He gave her a little smirk as the chain streaked across his face. Batu unexpectedly caught the chain and gripped it tightly.

"What the," Diah tried to pull the chained blade back. "Let go, you mutt!"

"Not a chance!" Batu yanked back the chain as hard as he can, launching the girl right towards him. They were soon thrown into close quarter combat. Fists flew as the two of them tried to get the upper hand on one another.

Batu somersaulted back as Diah threw a spinning roundhouse kick. He went straight for her knees. Missed. A bodyshot. Dodged. Then a head kick. Blocked. Batu clicked his tongue, 'She's got quick eyes.'

"Oh?" Jin Mayleen looked on with a pleased smile. "He's quite the unexpected fighter."

That boy was quite agile with amazing technique at his disposal, and he was doing well against her. However, it seemed that Diah was only warming up. She glanced at her watch. Only forty-five seconds left.

'Wow,' Batu thought to himself. He quickly blocked a right cross and dodged a left kick. 'This girl's pretty damn good.'

Batu slipped under her guard and popped a devastating uppercut right to her chin. A clean hit. He hoped he didn't knock her out too hard. Any normal human would have been dropped to the ground.

The crowd of beauties looked on with shock as Diah's stumbled back with a tilt of her head. They couldn't believe Batu managed to get a hit on her.

'Huh?' He looked at Diah with surprise.

Diah dropped her head, spat out blood and looked at him with a large grin, "That was a pretty good hit. Let's see if you can handle this, big guy." Diah suddenly threw a hard hook, knocking Batu to the floor.

"Batu!" Yu Mei cried out.

"Yeah, baby!" Emiko cheered on. "Spit his teeth out!"

Diah grinned again as Batu stood back on his feet; his face showed no signs of pain at all. She couldn't help but feel excited. Perhaps, Batu was hiding his pain, or she didn't put enough oomph in her punch. Diah was going to knock his ass back down on the next one.

"There's a reason why everyone calls me the Tiger of the Southeast," She said.

"That's funny," Batu wiped the blood from his mouth. "You remind me of a little cat instead."

"Then let me just show you who I am," Diah charged at him again. She threw a solid one-two; one at his ribs and the other smack-banged against his jaw.

Batu gritted his teeth, pushing forward with his tenacity alone. Diah was probably the toughest gal he fought to date. He swerved out of the way of her swift jab and landed a stiff knee to her gut.

"Urgh!" A hard kick slammed against his chest, and Batu crashed to the floor again amidst the joyful hollering of girls in the background.

"Face it," She walked towards him with nonchalant steps. "It's over."

Batu glanced at the chained blade next to him, and a sudden idea came to his mind. As Diah came closer, he quickly grabbed the chain and swung it across her legs.

"Shit!" She was caught off guard as the chains wrapped around her ankles. Batu immediately yanked the chain, dropping her to the floor.

"Gotcha!" Batu jumped on top of her. He pushed Diah on her back and tied her arms together with the chain.

"Hey, get off of me!" Diah struggled against his weight.

"Nah, I think I feel comfortable right here," Batu smirked with contempt. Who was the one with the cocky attitude now?

Jin Mayleen nodded in satisfaction; she understood in that instant when Batu had took advantage of Diah's moment of overconfidence; and it was something that remained one of her biggest setbacks.

Seeing Diah struggling quite a bit, Jin Mayleen decided to call off this round with just five seconds left, "Enough. This round is over."

Emiko's mouth gaped open in utter shock while Yu Mei began to cheer. The once loud cheers and hollering from the other girls now turned into complete silence.

"Tch, overconfidence lost her the round," Nomin said with a scowl. He may have won this round, but he won't win against Morena or her.

"Hey, Yoona," Angie turned her head to her. "Did you just see what I saw?"

Yoona nodded.

"Were you expecting this at all?"

This time, she shook her head.

"Hmm, same," Angie looked back at Batu with eyes of curiosity. She might have judged this snot-nosed brat a little too early.

"That was quite unexpected, Batu," Jin Mayleen complimented. "I didn't think you'd beat one of my best."

"If that was your best, than ya need to hire better people," He replied.

Diah's face flushed red with embarrassment. Her losing to some random nobody - and under a minute, too - damaged her pride as a fighter, "I still could have beat you if you didn't tie me up."

"Huh?" Batu looked at her with confusion. "When did a bench start talkin' to me?"

"Motherfucker, I'll-"

"Alright, that's enough," Jin Mayleen interrupted. "Untie her, will you?"

"Sure," He lazily replied, ripping the chains off of Diah's arms. She hastily stood and gave him an immediate stank eye, "You!" Diah pressed her finger over Batu's chest.

"Yes?"

"That!" She angrily cried out. "That was a fun fight." All her anger vanished out of thin air as she raised a hand at him for a fist bump. Batu blinked in surprise at her sudden change. This girl wasn't mad at him?

"Yeah, I guess it was pretty fun," He bumped fists with her. "Pound-for-pound, you're definitely the strongest girl I've faced."

"Hehe," She rubbed her nose. "They don't call me the Tiger of the Southeast for nothing. Besides, you got a pretty insane chin; I didn't think anybody would be able to take my hits and still be standing! I'm Diah, by the way."

"Batu."

"If you ever join in our little gang, let's fight sometimes, Batu," A beautiful smile formed across her face.

"Sure, I'd like that."

Diah walked back to Jin Mayleen, bowed her head before she stood beside her again. She knew that her overconfidence had gotten the best of her, so Diah could not complain about her lost.

"So, that leaves you two now," Jin Mayleen said.

"I guess it's my time to shine," Morena walked forward. Her baby-bearing hips swayed sexily as she approached Batu. Once again, the girls cheered on. Unfortunately, Batu seemed to have only one loyal fan by his side.

"Hey, handsome~" Morena stopped at a small distance away. Her hands slid down her seductive body and rested on her waist.

Batu couldn't help but gulp as his eyes followed her hands to her perfect hourglass figure. This vixen definitely had a 'waist of time'.

Out of all the women he'd seem, Morena was definitely the curviest out of all of them. Damn, he would have to fight a girl like her? Batu would rather fight her in a different way.

"I'm Morena, I hope you can last more than a minute against me, sweetie;" She suddenly winked at him.
