[First Mission]: Final Part

Sweat rolled his face as Zhou Yu looked down at the gun. One wrong move, and his life would be over.

"Repay back?" he nervously asked. "In what way?"

"You lost brain cells or something?" Yu Mei smacked his head with her gun. "The money. Give it all back to the victims you took from, capisce?"

"Of course!" Zhou Yu quickly nodded. "I just need to head back to the agency. I'll be able to transfer the money back from the computer."

"You better not have your men there."

"T-they aren't," he quickly added. "We close at five, so there shouldn't be anyone there."

Yu Mei narrowed her eyes before she looked at Batu, "You get behind him; don't let him escape."

"Got it, chief."

Then she looked back at Zhou Yu with a much more threatening glare. "One word from your mouth and you're dead meat. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes."

Batu lifted Zhou Yu off from the ground, ignoring his painful cries. He pushed the fat man to follow after Yu Mei as she walked out of the room. Fortunately, all the patrons behind each room were blissfully unaware about the incident that had taken place earlier.

Yu Mei spotted Emiko not to far away from her, who still kept watch over the halls, "Encountered any problems?"

"Yeah, my boredom," she answered, glancing at Zhou Yu with disgust. "There's an emergency exit just down there. We can leave through it."

"Take us there."

Emiko led them to the emergency exit which brought them out to the parking lot. They made it back to the car without a hitch.

"Get in," Batu commanded.

Zhou Yu did not argue with the man and got into the car. Emiko quickly drove off into the distance without wasting anymore time.

Back in Queen's Karaoke Bar, a worker walked through the halls, holding a very expensive bottle of liquor in his hands.

"This is such bullshit," he said to himself. The sounds of sex muffled through rooms as he walked by. He was honestly jealous of them. "I need to pick one up from the streets when my shift is over."

When he arrived at room fifteen, he noticed something odd. The door was left wide open with the lights still on.

"Did those assholes leave already?" He was pissed off. The man had walked all the way here for nothing. He decided to go inside for the hell of it. Lounging around in there wouldn't be so bad.

As he walked in there, he suddenly froze to a halt. The bottle that was once in his hand shattered on the ground.

"Someone call the cops!"

Batu's crew arrived at the Sunbelt Loan Agency in pitch darkness. The streets were quiet and void of cars and pedestrians. They shoved Zhou Yu to the front and had him unlock the front door.

As the doors swung open, Zhou was suddenly pushed inside, "Hurry it up; we don't have all night." Yu Mei brought her pistol to his head. It was a quick and simple persuasion.

Zhou Yu hastily ran towards his office, stumbling over himself along. He was afraid. Afraid that he would be killed by these maniacs. He didn't want to die.

The keys fell out of his hands as fumbled around to unlock his office door. He immediately picked them back up, opened the door and entered the room. The lights flickered on as he walked towards the holographic computer.

"Do you promise not to kill me after I finish the transfer?"

"We'll see about that," Yu Mei answered. "Now do it."

Zhou Yu quickly went to work, canceling all of his victim's debts and sent the money back to them. It was a total transfer of seven-hundred thousand units. It hurts to see all that money go down the drain, but he needed to keep his life intact.

"There. The units have been transferred," Zhou Yu said. "Can you please let me go?"

Zhou Yu was clocked in the face with a devastating punch, knocking a couple teeth out of his mouth. As he looked back up, Batu's tall frame loomed over him, and Zhou Yu couldn't help but shrik back in his chair in fear.

"Why?" Zhou Yu groaned out in both pain and confusion.

"I know you still have more money in your bank. Hand it over to them," Yu Mei responded.

"Please, that's all I have left," he begged.

"Now you know how your victims felt."

Zhou Yu grit his teeth and sent all his money to the system. He'll earn back the money in the future and find out who these three people are.

Before he sent the money, Yu Mei suddenly stopped him, "Wait, send the two-hundred thousand units to a woman named Ms.Tanaka and the rest to the others."

Zhou Yu widened his eyes. Ms.Tanaka? Did Ms.Tanaka sent them after him? He needed to find out more, "Is there a reason?" He hope he would get at least an answer from them.

"You want to live or die? Pick one."

He sent the money Ms.Tanaka without hesitation. There. He was finally done; they got what they wanted. Out of his expectations, Zhou Yu was thrown onto the floor. His face sank as Yu Mei slowly walked towards him.

"Wait! I thought we had a deal?" he crawled back away in fright.

"I don't recall ever making a deal with a scumbag like you," Yu Mei stood over him like a devil dressed in red. "Unfortunately for you, today's the last day you'll see the light of day. Batu," she called him over.

"No, please!" Zhou Yu screamed.

"Yeah?" Batu walked over to Yu Mei.

"Here. Take it," Yu Mei handed him the gun.

"You... you want me to kill him?" he asked.

She nodded her head.

Batu hesitated at first but slowly took the gun from her hand. He glanced at the gun then towards Zhou Yu. Batu suddenly felt nervous.

"Please, I beg of you, sir! Don't kill me!" Zhou Yu prostrated onto the floor, begging for his life in tears. "I have a wife and kids! Please, I'll do anything!"

Batu raised the gun to Zhou Yu's head with shaky hands. Yet, he still hesitated to shoot. This was a life he was about to take. Batu had complete control over this man's life, and he could end it whenever he wanted. Fuck, this was driving him nuts.

"You don't have to do this!" Zhou Yu begged him even more. "I promise I won't harm anyone else, just please stop!"

"The hell are you waiting for, Batu?" Emiko asked impatiently. "Put one in his skull already."

However, the more he stared at Zhou Yu's pathetic state, the more he couldn't bring himself to shoot him. Sure, this fat fuck was a scumbag, but would that make him any different than that guy if he killed him in cold blood?

"Fuck... I can't do it," Batu lowered his gun.

"Then, let me do it," Emiko said.

"Emiko, shut up for a minute," Yu Mei frowned at her. She then placed a hand on Batu's shoulder. "Batu, I know it's hard to take the life of another person, but as fucked up as this sounds, you need to learn how to close your heart when the time comes.

Once you step into the underground world, there's no going back to the life you used to know. There's going to be monsters out there who won't hesitate to take your life. I'm only doing this for your sake, Batu."

She was right. There might not be going back from this life. Batu's breath grew rapid as he pointed the gun at Zhou Yu again. He clenched his teeth, staring into the eyes of the man before him.

"No, please no!"

"ARGH!" Batu roared.

BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!

Four shots pierced directly into Zhou Yu's head. Brain matter and blood splattered across the wall and floor as Zhou Yu dropped dead.

Batu stared into the eyes of Zhou Yu's lifeless body. He killed him. He was a killer, a murderer, and there was nothing he could do to change that now.

With Zhou Yu now dead, their mission was complete. Emiko took the liberty to wipe out footage from all the cameras while Yu Mei cleaned up any evidence of their presence around the area.

It was a silent ride back to the Golden Horde headquarters. Yu Mei and Emiko tried to talk to Batu, but he wasn't responding at all. It was like he was alone in his own bubble.

Batu stared blankly out into the window in somber; he just couldn't admire the beautiful engineering of the future.

Sirens blared along with bright flashes of light as a cop car whizzed by them towards the entertainment hub.

"Batu..." Yu Mei muttered to herself, glancing back at him. She hoped that he didn't hate her for it.

Ms.Tanaka stumbled her way back into her apartment. She leaned against the door and slowly slid down to the floor.

She was mentally tired and hurt. Ms.Tanaka didn't know what to do anymore. She felt like she failed both her husband and daughter.

"I'm sorry, Hiro," she muttered out.

Then, her phone began to vibrate. She reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. When, Ms.Tanaka saw the notification, she nearly dropped the phone in absolute shock, "Why did Mr.Zhou send me two-hundred fifty thousand units?"

A message popped up from an unknown number, and Ms.Tanaka quickly read it.

[Consider this as a gift for your daughter. -Love, Yuyu.]

Suddenly, a tear drop fell onto the phone screen.

"Good work. All of you performed very well," Jin Mayleen smiled as she glanced over the photo of Zhou Yu's corpse. It was gruesome but nothing that she could handle, "The client will definitely be pleased with this. Your payments will be distributed to the three of you by tomorrow."

Jin Mayleen glanced over at Batu and noticed his blank stare, "Something wrong, Batu?"

"No, it's nothing," he replied.

"Your face says otherwise, Batu."

"I just don't want to talk about it."

Jin Mayleen peered into his obsidian eyes for a moment, searching for anything amiss. He was hurt, she could tell. 'Something must have happened during the mission,' she thought to herself.

If Batu did not want to talk about it, then she had no right to privy into his personal matters. He would be able to overcome them, himself.

"Then, I will not indulged into it any farther. However, I do want to congratulate you for completing your first mission."

"Thank you, Khanate," he bowed his head. However, Batu didn't feel happy at all. There wasn't anything to be happy about.

He wanted to go back home.
