Blood Brothers

The groups got to different smaller stages and started the preliminaries.

Brooks was up first and Johnny nodded at him, Brooks smirked and said "Watch carefully." as he stepped onto the mat. He stopped 3 feet away from the opponent and raised his knee and lifted his arms into the air. Johnny froze and the ref said "Start!"

The opponent rushed forward and Brooks crane kicked him in the chin, knocking him out cold as the ref said "Point!" Brooks walked off the mat saying "He's out cold, ref." The ref walked over and announced Brooks the winner.

Daniel's face fell and Sam said "They stole your move, dad!" Daniel was silent and kept watching.

Johnny looked at Brooks and said "Who taught you that?" Brooks smiled dubiously and said "It doesn't take a genius to figure out an illegal kick." Johnny chuckled and shook his head. The next fight was Miguel, who did the same stance and got a point with a crane kick before ending the fight right after.

Then Hawk. Then Tory. Then Aisha. Then the rest. Johnny's smile got bigger and bigger and Daniel's face got darker and darker as each of the group got a point off the Crane kick. Not all of them won but they all got at least one point.

Brooks high-fived the small kid and said "Way to go, Papa Smurf!" The kid said "My name is Tyler." Brooks said "You're name's gonna be dwarf if you don't get in line." Tyler walked in line and Tory shook her head with a smile.

The fights went on and Brooks was the first in the Quarter finals.

Brooks walked onto the mat and smirked as he narrowed his eyes and got into his fighting stance. The other guy got into his fighting stance and the ref said "Start!" Brooks shot forward and swept out his leg. The guy jumped over it and Brooks smirked as he twisted and planted his foot before swinging backwards with his other foot and nailing him in the chin.

The guy fell to the floor and Brooks punched him in the face, knocking him out.

He stood up and walked away as the ref announced him the winner via knockout. Brooks looked at Robby and sneered before standing next to Johnny. Miguel won his fight, Hawk fought Robby and lost, Aisha lost and Tory won and the semi finals were set.

Johnny stood on the stage with Miguel, Brooks, and Tory next to him and Robby stood on the other side, by himself. The announcer said "In the semi finals we have, from Cobra Kai; Miguel Diaz!" the crowd cheered "Tory Nichols!" the crowd cheered "And Brooks Lawrence!" The crowd cheered again and the announcer continued "And from Unaffiliated we have, Robby Keene!"

The crowd cheered again and the announcer had an awkward expression as he said "For our first fight we have Miguel Diaz VS Brooks Lawrence!" the crowd froze and the announcer chuckled as he said "That's right. It wasn't on purpose!"

Brooks and Miguel looked at each other and a fire burned in their eyes. Johnny sighed and said narcissistically "My students are too great!" Tory rolled her eyes and Brooks smirked as he replied "Ah better than you?" Johnny smacked him and said "Not yet, kid." Brooks rubbed his head and chuckled before walking to the other side of the arena saying "No mercy, Miguel."

Brooks passed Robby and snorted. Robby said coldly "Don't lose." Brooks sneered "Not on your life." before standing at the starting mark and getting into stance. Miguel smirked and got into stance. The ref stood in the middle and swung his hand down as he said "Start!"

Brooks and Miguel moved forward and Brooks jabbed and punched, Miguel blocked it and swung out his leg. Brooks blocked by raising his knee before sweeping it at Miguel's remaining leg. Miguel jumped with one foot and Brooks spun, kicking up with his other foot, planting his hands on the mat.

Miguel got hit in the side and fell on the mat, the ref announced a point and Brooks stepped back before taking his stance again. Miguel got up and got back in stance, Brooks moved forward and threw punch after punch, pushing Miguel back as he blocked.

Brooks threw a punch and Miguel turned to the side instead of blocking and shot his elbow into Brooks' stomach, pushing him back and earning a point.

They restarted and Brooks moved forward again but this time Miguel moved forward as well. Brooks swung his leg and Miguel shadowed him, they both blocked and smirked before backing off. they both threw a punch and their fists collided.

Brooks grinned and got more aggressive as Miguel shadowed him punch for punch. Brooks was slowly pushing him to the back of the mat before Miguel threw a punch, Brooks blocked it with a wave and kicked Miguel in the stomach, sending him off the stage. Brooks moved forward and caught him before he fell and lowered him down slowly with a laugh.

Miguel sat on the ground and let out a breath before looking up and sighing with a smile. The ref announced Brooks' win and the crowd cheered loudly. Brooks hopped off the stage and stuck out his hand for Miguel, who grabbed it and pulled himself up.

Johnny looked at Brooks and Miguel and said "What was that?" Brooks said "Me and Migs usually shadow each other when we spar." Johnny sighed and said "Why are my students so great?" Brooks rolled his eyes and looked at Tory, who was looking at him.

He walked over and said "Good luck. I know you can win." Tory smiled beautifully and kissed his cheek before heading to the ring. Brooks rubbed his cheek and fell in line, Johnny gave him a thumbs up and Brooks chuckled before turning his attention to the stage.

Tory walked to the starting line and stood across from Robby without a word. They bowed to each other and got into fighting stances. The ref chopped down and said "Start!" Robby moved forward and attacked first with a kick, Tory backed off as Robby kept kicking before catching his foot and pulling, bringing him to the ground before punching him in the face earning a point.

She smiled lightly and walked back to the starting point. Robby was angry and walked back to the starting point but before he got into stance, Daniel shouted "Robby, you have to calm down and focus! Remember your training!"

Robby looked over before nodding and taking a deep breath as he slowly got into a fighting stance. Tory shot forward and punched, Robby deflected and kept backing off before ducking under a punch and sweeping Tory off her feet to the ground and elbowing her stomach, getting a point.

Brooks clenched his fists and cracked his neck, Johnny patted his head and said "Easy. She's tougher than that." Brooks focused on the stage once more as Tory got up and went back to the starting position.

She got into stance as did Robby.

Tory moved forward and kicked, Robby blocked and punched. Tory brushed off the punch with a spin and shot her leg out towards Robby's head. Robby caught her ankle and pulled hard before leaning in with a hard punch to her chest. Tory fell to the ground and Robby was announced the winner.

Brooks ran up to the stage and kneeled on one knee beside Tory as he said "Are you okay?!" Tory smiled and nodded as she said "Just stings, I've had worse." Brooks frowned and helped her up before giving Robby a glance as he walked down the stage.

The announcer walked on the stage and said "Alright, we'll take a 5 minute break! The finals will begin shortly!" Brooks brought Tory to the rest with a frown. He sat Tory down and said "Do you need a medic?" Tory rolled her eyes and said "I'm not a flower. I can take a beating."

Brooks shook his head and said "That's not the point." He looked into her eyes and said "No one can hurt you." before turning around and walking to the stage. Tory watched his back in a daze and Johnny said "Brooks." Brooks stopped and Johnny added "Remember, who you're fighting."

Brooks was silent and continued to the stage. He jumped onto the stage and stopped at the starting line. Robby walked forward, coming out of the locker room with Daniel. Robby walked up the stairs to the stage before stopping at the starting line and getting into position.

Brooks got into his fighting stance and said "I hope Larusso taught you well. You're gonna need it." Robby replied "How's your girlfriend?" Brooks grinded his teeth and said "You're finished." Robby just smirked and stayed silent. The ref chapped down and said "Fight!"

Brooks moved forward and Robby kicked, Brooks caught his leg and punched him in the face before kicking him in the knee, sending him to the ground. Robby slammed on the ground and Brooks clocked him right after before backing off as the ref held him back and said "Foul! No point!"

Johnny and Daniel frowned, while Hawk, Miguel and the rest boo'd. Amanda covered her mouth and said "Oh my god." Daniel said "I told him not to fight." Sam said hatefully "You were right. Everybody form Cobra Kai is an asshole." Daniel just sighed and shook his head.

Johnny frowned as he looked at the students before turning back to Brooks.

Robby got up and had blood dripping from his mouth, the ref called a time out and told Robby to take care of it. Daniel walked over and cleaned Robby up before saying "You want this, now you have to finish it." Robby nodded.

Brooks walked back and Johnny looked at him before saying "Seriously? Don't pull that shit again, understand? Beat him fair and square." Brooks nodded before going back to the starting line and sitting on his heels, waiting for Robby to come back.

Robby walked back with a slight limp and Brooks jumped to his feet, imitating Johnny, before getting into position. Robby got into the crane position, imitating Daniel. Looking at the two on stage, Daniel and Johnny felt like they were back to 35 years ago. Johnny subconsciously clenched his fists and Daniel touched his leg subconsciously as they both focused on the fight.

Brooks felt his legs shaking as the ref chopped down to start the fight again. Brooks moved forward and noticed Robby's planted foot twitch so he stepped back, letting Robby Crane kick the air before moving in and kicking Robby in the face, knocking him to the ground.

He was about to move in when the ref announced him a point and put his arm in front of him. Brooks backed off and went back to the starting line. Johnny let out a breath and relaxed his fists, Daniel tightened them instead and took a deep breath.

Robby got back up and cracked his neck before going back to the starting line. The ref started the fight and Robby moved first this time, leading out with a punch. Brooks caught his fist and kneed him in the stomach, Robby braced himself and jumped, wrapping his legs around Brooks and bringing him to the ground before elbowing him in the face for the point.

Robby rolled off and walked back to the starting line. Brooks got up and touched his nose with his fingers before seeing blood. He licked the blood off his fingers and got into fighting position. The ref chopped and Robby moved forward again, Brooks moved to the side and kicked at Robby's stomach.

Robby blocked it and kicked at Brook's planted leg, Brooks one-foot hopped over the kick and fell backwards to his hands. He pushed back and stomped on Robby's chest, knocking him to the ground as Brooks landed back on his feet and finished it by punching him in the face.

Brooks backed off and feel back to the starting line as Robby started bleeding form his nose too. Robby stood up and went to the starting line with blood flowing from his nose. The ref make sure Robby was okay before starting the fight again.

Brooks moved forward and punched out, Robby blocked it and swung his arm around. Brooks shot out his forearm and smashed it against Robby's wrist before punching out again. Robby waved his arm and used out with the other, Brooks grabbed his wrist and twisted it out before punching Robby in the face.

Robby fell back and landed with one hand, he tucked his knees and stood on his hand before stomping on Brooks' chest, sending him to the ground. Robby moved out and smashed his face in Brooks' face, getting the point to tie it up 2-2.

It was a bloody fight, but the refs couldn't do anything since it was all legal. The crowd had quieted down and the cheering slowly subsided as there was only fighting sounded resonating in the tournament hall.

Johnny and the rest were silent and Tory rubbed her palms together, feeling nervous. Daniel was clenching and unclenching his fist and Sam was rubbing her thighs in anxiety.

Brooks pushed off the ground and landed on his feet. Both him and Robby had completely blood-covered lower faces. The ref sent them both to their coaches and told them to clean up. A team walked onto the stage and cleaned the blood.

Brooks and standing in front of Johnny, who was cleaning his face as he said "Get the quick point, watch for the kick from the right side." Brooks nodded and Hawk brought a bucket over, Brooks spit out blood into the bucket and Johnny patted his shoulder saying "Go win this thing." the rest of the class cheered and Brooks smiled slightly as he nodded.

He turned around and lost his smile as he walked back to the arena.

Daniel was cleaning Robby's face and said "You okay?" Robby nodded and Daniel nodded before saying "He's better with his arms, target his legs." Robby nodded and Daniel smiled and said "You got this." Robby smiled and nodded again.

He turned around and made a straight face as he walked back to the stage.

Brooks and Robby stopped at the starting lines and got into fighting positions. The ref chopped to start the fight and neither Brooks nor Robby moved. Brooks narrowed his eyes to a slit and changed his stance slightly, his left arm looked like a snake and his right arm looked like a slithering serpent.

Robby changed footing to the opposite side and exhaled slowly. Brooks inhaled before shouting "HA!" and shooting forward, his left hand shot forward and his right pulled back. Robby stomped with his right foot and twisted around and swinging his left towards Brooks' head from the right side.

Brooks pulled his left hand down before moving in and ducking under Robby's leg. Brooks came back up and pulled his left hand back before shooting his right hand forward and burying it in Robby's stomach, taking the wind out of him. Brooks flipped his left hand up and slapped his palm on Robby's chest before putting all his weight on his left foot and spin kicking him in the chin, sending him to the ground.

The ref blew a whistle and shouted "Point! Game!" before walking over and raising Brooks' arm and shouting "Winner!" the crowd went wild and cheered crazily. Johnny and the rest cheered before storming the stage and grouping up around Brooks.

Brooks looked over at Robby before pushing his way through. Brooks walked up to Robby and stretched out his hand saying "Get up, kid. You're a fighter." Robby looked at Brooks' hand before grabbing it and pulling himself up.

Brooks held Robby's hand tightly and hesitated before pulling him in and hugging him. Robby was startled and he heard Brooks' voice "I'm glad you're okay, bro." Robby closed his eyes and patted Brooks' back wordlessly.

Brooks separated and smiled, Robby smirked and punched his shoulder before walking away. Brooks watched him go and his smile smoothed out to a straight line as he turned around and walked back to the group.
