Chapter 24 – Third Battle
Berry saw the post made by Spotty Pot Pot and he chuckled a bit. Berry did not comment on that post but he clicked on the like button.
"Hmm?" Spotty Pot Pot got the notification that Berry liked his post. "So, he saw this post. Well, we are the only member of this Channel after all," Spotty Pot Pot smiled.
[Battle Facility Notification - Berryier will be in another battle] a notification arrived. Since Spotty Pot Pot decided to follow Berry in the Battle Facility, whenever Berry decided to have a battle, the Battle Facility would notify him.
Since Berry wanted to have another battle, Spotty Pot Pot got the notification.
"As your first follower, I will continue watching," Spotty Pot Pot decided to watch the battle.
Over at Berry's side, he got the notification for his next opponent.
"Car202020, Level 1 and no battle history. A new player like me," Berry checked on Car202020's Battle Facility's data and there was no history of him in any battle.
"I will just fight based on the situation," Berry spoke. Berry waited for his battle to start. Since Berry was someone with more experience in the Battle Facility, he did not get to choose the field. Car202020 would be the one choosing the field.
A minute later, Berry was notified of the field. It was the Rocky field. Rocky field was a flat land where there were a lot of big boulders stood on the field.
Looking at the picture of the Rocky field, Berry knew that Car202020 would use the boulders to defend and hide. Even so, if Car202020 could do that, Berry could do the same too.
"This will be the battle of hide and seek," Berry mumbled. A few minutes later, it was his turn for the battle. Berry got inside the teleporter and was teleported to the Rocky field.
On the spectator side, Spotty Pot Pot walked around and found the viewing screen for Berry's battle. Same as before, it was located at the side where not many people were around and it was a small screen too.
Spotty Pot Pot was the only person sitting there watching the battle.
"Phew~ I am fast and there are still a lot of seats left. Nice~" Spotty Pot Pot joked. He knew he was the only one interested in Berry's battle.
The screen showed the Rocky field and two people were teleported in the field.
Berry looked around and stared at the boulders on the field. "Hiding may not be the best choice," Berry mumbled and he glanced at his opponent Car202020.
Car202020 was a teen boy who looked to be around the same age as Bestie. His face was a bit better than average but not handsome. It was in the middle. He was not tall and not short either and Car202020 was on the skinny side.
Other than that, Car202020's beginner equipment was present proof of him being a new player like Berry.
Car202020 took a deep breath. He looked nervous probably because this was his first battle.
'I can win this!' Car202020 was pumped up and he glanced at Berry. Since Berry wore a mask, he could not see his face but when he saw Berry's equipment, he was relieved because they were both beginners.
'I can win this!' Car202020's confidence increased.

Berry took out his high-quality football and held a golf ball with his other hand. He slightly moves his right side in front to hide the golf ball on his other hand. He decided to go with the same method against RedFile.
Car202020 seemed to not recognize the high-quality football and thus, he saw the golf ball too. Since he was a newbie, he thought the football was the normal quality. Due to that, he was more focused on how many balls did Berry held.

'He saw the golf ball. He does not seem to be wary of the football,' Berry raised his eyebrow and it dawned on him that he was like that in the beginning too. 'Is that so?'
'Berryier loves to throw many balls at one time. He used the first throw to let the opponent moved in a direction he wanted and threw another ball in that direction to land a hit,' Car202020 had seen the two videos of Berry's battle.

Car202020 held the normal quality football he got from the Public Guild.
[Start!]
Car202020 ran to the side and hid behind a big boulder. 'I will wait here until you attack!' Car202020 decided to wait for Berry to attack first.
Berry had wanted to hide too but he changed his plan. If both of them were hiding, the battle would move like a snail. That would be wasting a lot of time. Berry did not want to do that.
Berry ran towards the boulder where Car202020 was hiding. Berry stood silently in front of the boulder and stared up and down on the boulder.
'I can climb this and sneak attack from above but, it will be too much work,' Berry was against climbing the boulder.
'If I appear from the side, I will get a sneak attack by him. It is obvious why he is hiding from the beginning and he does not show any intention of moving too,' thought Berry.
Berry looked at the golf ball in his hand and he smiled.
'Where is he?' thought Car202020. 'Why isn't he here yet? Is he hiding too? Isn't he taking too much time for someone with high speed?' while thinking of this, Car202020 realized that Berry could be hiding too.
'No way! From his two battles, he is the type to strike the opponent from the front. He is not the type to hide and prefer a head-on battle!' Car202020 suddenly felt a bit nervous.
Suddenly, he saw a round shadow on the ground and he looked above. Car202020 was shocked when a golf ball was falling from above.
'!!!' Car202020 was shocked. 'He attacks from above? Did he climb the boulder?!" Car 202020 move away from the boulder to evade the falling golf ball. The golf ball fell on the ground.
Car202020 looked at the top of the boulder and prepared to throw the normal quality football at Berry but, he halted when he did not spot Berry above the boulder.
Suddenly, something softly hit Car202020's right side.

"!!!!!" Car202020 was super shocked.
"Yup, he is done. There is no kick this time," Spotty Pot Pot yawned at this boring battle. Since he was spectating the battle, he saw everything that Berry did.
Berry threw a golf ball to fall from above to bait Car202020 to come out from his hiding place. Once Car202020 fell from that, he would attack from the side as his opponent would be focusing on the top of the boulder.
Car202020 looked at his right only to see another football game and hit his body.

Car202020 was teleported back to the waiting room.
Two balls sprawled on the ground. One was the high-quality football while another one was the medium-quality football. The first hit was from high-quality football thus, it caused more damage than the second hit.
"Car202020's defense is too low. That is the most damage I have seen Berryier caused against his opponent. Well, he is level 1 and, understandably, he is weak," Spotty Pot Pot commented. Since the battle had ended, Spotty Pot Pot left the viewing area.
[Battle end. Winner: Berryier. Time Taken: 34 seconds]
The battle took longer this time because Car202020 was hiding. RedFile had no place to hide and his rash attitude contributed to him losing the battle fast.
Berry was teleported back to the waiting room.
"The battle ended earlier than expected. I thought he will evade the second hit but he is too slow. Much slower than RedFile," Berry spoke. "He must be a casual player and not an athlete or something similar. Out of my three opponents, KOA2468 seems to be an athlete or something."

Berry got the notification that he had insufficient money storage. He used the money and upgraded the limit to 10000G. Berry was left with 1450G.
"Will this money enough to upgrade my equipment?" Berry spoke while he looked at the 1450G in his storage. He hoped that it would be enough.
"I need to upgrade my equipment, buy a few better balls too. With only one high-quality football, it is not enough against a stronger opponent," Berry thought of his plan.
As Berry was thinking that, he walked out of the waiting room. He did not plan of having another battle as it was almost time to end the day. He needed to work the next day and it would be a busy day too.
"That's right! I have a lot of experience points too. I should level up my whole level and uses the free points to increase my defense," Berry planned on what to do with the experience points.
Berry walked out of the waiting room's hallway and walked out of the Battle Facility to the nearby inn. Once he checked into an inn, Berry logged out from the game.
