Hurtful words

Marco

I ran after Leo, he was clearly not well and none of this was helping him, but he always has that need to make himself strong as if he couldn't show what he feels. He reached it in a park near our house and sat on one of the swings, it was getting dark and the lamps illuminated the empty park.

—Can I sit next to me? —asks Marco.

—He nods as he keeps watching the sand —I'll be alone for a while, I'll come back later.

—I understand, then I'll keep you company as you go —says Marco as he takes a seat on the swing next door.

—You should come back to shower and rest —Leo replies.

—That would suit me very well, but if I come back now they will ask me about you —Marco replies as he spins around on the swing.

—I still have no other place to go, it's always been just you and me —Leo replies as he watches Marco.

—I know and that's never going to change, but you have to talk to me and tell me what's going on —says Marco worried.
