Jason slammed his burner phone at the wall letting it shatter around him. "Nice chat with the fiancé?" Eric asked still scrolling through his phone unbothered by everything around him. "This guy is definitely a piece of work." Tristan said drinking from his coffee. "This prick has nerve I'll give him that. Definitely has the 'soldier' attitude. I know that I get to him though I can feel me under his skin the same he is under mine. I don't know what she thinks she's doing, but this game needs to stop now." So to be a good friend they had her believe Marie really did run away from here because of her mom, the least she could do for her friend is help her future husband out. It was saddening though when she got on social media and saw everything last night the new home and everything she did send a message and was waiting to hear back. God knows your sweet heart deserves it.' Lexy read the message in shock this couldn't be true. It just couldn't Jason has been out of his mind distraught and crazy missing her. You can tell by the look in his eyes how much he loves her, it may be a little chilling but maybe that's just what true love does to people. Lexy always thought you had to be a little crazy in love or else it wasn't really real. This has to be a misunderstanding. How could she be marrying someone else she claims to love when all this time she thought it was Jason. This whole time she thought she was really going to come back one day and maybe the eight of them could be happy. She always hoped Jason with Marie, Kayla, with Tristan, Ricki with whoever he loved, and her and Eric could always be like a happy family with being married and having kids together. Maybe she was mislead about Jason maybe he did hurt her friend Eric has been sending Lexy all kinds of signals that he likes her they've flirted for years, and he hasn't seen anyone else he only looks at her. Surely someone as kind and great as Eric could ever associate with a friend or someone who would hit a woman. HE was a detective for god sake he protects and serves the public, no there's no way that's true maybe Marie mother has tortured her for so long she put the idea that Jason was apart of it. Shaking her head she went back into the room. "I got the kit." "That was long trip sweetheart you ok?" Eric asked a little curious. It was true he was just as obsessed with her as Jason was with Marie. "Oh I'm fine, I just got an email, I'll respond to it later it's one of those things you just got to really think over. Lexy heart slammed in her chest he was serious. It was almost like she couldn't breathe she felt happiness flow all the way through her. "Yes, Eric. I will." Jason smiled taking his hand back letting Eric swing her happily in circles in his office kissing her deeply. "You made so happy." Eric said lost in his happiness. He looked up at his friends. "Don't worry man this will be you soon enough." He said to Jason who looked at him smiled softly. "I know man I just got to make her open her eyes and realize that I'm all she's ever going to need. I just don't know how to do that when she won't even talk to me. "What's going on?" Lexy asked. "Marie sent restraining order on her mother, Jason and his parents on Christmas day. She's supposedly getting married to some hick back East." Eric said sadly. "I know I shouldn't say anything because Marie is my friend, but it would break my heart to have secrets from you. You have always been honest with me." "what do you mean?" Eric said running the back of his hand on her cheek lovingly. "I found Marie on social media last night and I sent her a message. She was the email I was reading as I was fetching the kit for Jas." Lexy said to him. "Really? What did she say Jason asked looking hopeful." The three of them looking at each other completely forgetting that her and Lexy were close friends. "It said that she wishes that I am well and healthy and She's happy about my job because she believes I am the best you know how flattering she can be always good with boosting someone's confidence with her words. She told me she's happy shes getting married and if I want I can come to her wedding with Kayla as long as it's only me and Kayla she never wants to hear from anyone in this town again, she does not want me talking about her to anyone in town. Especially with you three." Lexy said looking down at the last part. Lexy couldn't see the angry rolling off Jason because he was a true actor. Eric took his finger and gently pulling her chin up to look at him. "Did she say anything else or as to why not to speak to us about her my love?" Lexy getting trapped in his sweet eyes. She said everyone her broke her heart along with some other things, she made some serous accusations about you Jas." She said turning her head. "But… But that just can't be ture. I've known you for so many years there's just no way that could be I know how much you love her we all see it. Do you think maybe all the toture her mom has done has some how tricked her mind into thinking you had a part of it? I mean maybe she's just mad because no one helped her so she sees everyone as responsible. I mean even if she went to your work or you for help I don't think she would have gotten very far her mom had such a powerful pull in this town at the time. She must have felt so trapped I just wish I could have known maybe I could have helped her. Do you think maybe she is just to hurt by all the memories here that she can't bring herself to come back? It's all our faults." Lexy said completely breaking down holding onto Jason's arms. Eric came and grabbed her close to him. Comforting her. Jason could not believe her, her heart was almost just as pure as his Marie's he smiled an evil smirk this was going to be so much easier than he thought, his game plan just changed. It's all our faults I saw some signs and I never thought to much into it because I knew her natural nature was being a little on the clumsy side and I never would have thought her mother, if we can even call her that, could do something so horrific. I can't even bring my mind to think about all the things she must have went through, and I… I ignored all of it hell I might have just done all those things myself. You know the law if you know and do nothing you're just as responsible as if you did do it yourself. Maybe that's why she sent those orders she still scared her mother has pull on my family and I . You know how powerful we all are in this town and you know how timid she can be. Maybe she's scared of everything that will come with it if she did come home. I mean she forgave her father maybe if she can just understand that things won't be that way anymore. You know if you're marrying Eric you are now going to be in this high up responsibility as she will you guys could do it together, hell Kayla could even help." Jason as they all looked up to Tristan smiling brightly nodding along. "She would be thrilled." "Do you think maybe you could help in showing her how great things could be just like we all always talked about. Lexy were so close to getting everything we all talked about. Ask her if you can come for spring break for the week because it hurts your feelings to be away so long and wish to just be able to finally see her." "It did hurt my feelings." She said sadly. "You want me to lie to her though." LExy said raising her eyebrow knowing how she sucked at lying. "No, it's not lying telling her you miss her and your happy that she is happy because that is true. Just agree to not telling us anything because it is not our business to know. Don't tell her we are getting married just say your starting to see someone and don't want to say who because you don't want to jynx it because it's new. Don't tell her any of this. Look honey I know you don't' want to do this and you feel like this lie is bad but think about Lexy don't ou want her back her with us where she was always meant to be? Do you honestly think she will do that if she thinks you are betraying her trust you gotta remember right now she's lost in her mind and her mothers lies. I still have some work to do someone has to keep this office together." Lexy said playfully booping Eric's nose making him smile. She walked out the door. "I am officially happiest guy in the world." Not only did she offer her help as the only person in this whole town beside Ricki and his family that Marie trust full heartly, she gave us a great cover story. We can actually use this theory against Marie's court order, I'm going to go down and ask the Judges down there to challenge and demand proof that I am a true danger to her and not just her mentality damaged memories her evil mother plugged into her brain that way. Hell if we can prove that than maybe I can even get her dad back on board. It's not hard to use this defense as it is mental physical trauma and the brain has all kinds of ways to blocking things out. Hell she might even lose her job as a nurse which would be great because the only job she needs is on that committee running this town with us. If we can prove that all my actions we're just her mom and not me, that prick might even leave her. No man wants to take care of someone that's that damaged." These records go back years, and you never once filed any type of helping order like restraining order or assault charges against her mom who you paid off to take the blame hell her mom only signed her out of the hospitals and Marie never even knew she was there. She came signed her out because they refused to allow you to sign for the responsibility when they knew you were the cause bro. SO How do we fix years of medical reports signed by different nurses and a couple of the same doctors? This is the one thing I can not legally get around at least not there the judges here have no problem letting this go and denying it but she didn't serve them from here. We have to convince her to drop the order. You know if we can just get her to sign a paper that binds you legally as a married couple, she can't get married to what's his face the hick." "There's no way in hell she'll ever sign that and that's not how I want to do things. I want to see her walking down that aisle, I ant to stand at the alter and have us pledge ourselves to each other forever we deserve that. She deserves for everyone to be jealous of how beautiful she would look in her dress smiling with a smile that's just meant for me and no one else." Jason said looking at them. Damn he had it bad. He knew he messed up but the voices in his head would not let her go. How could she do this to him. Yet how could she stay and let him do this to her. "What if I challenged the order and admitted to some misunderstandings and go get counseling. Would the therapy be enough to prove I am not a threat?" "Are you seriously going to that?" Eric asked raising his eyebrows. "Do you know what you'll be throwing away? Hell no man that is not a plan e are going to do. How about this we send Lexy in and convince Marie to drop the restraining order saying if she's really over everything that happened than she wouldn't still need to hide even if it's just a piece of paper and that she will never be free of anything from you unless she faces you face to face. You know that whole face your fears thing. When Marie realizes that is the truth you will plead your case get on your hands and knees and beg her for forgiveness and tell her you will get therapy from what ever doctor she wants that you will do whatever she wants to get back home be that guy she fell in love with years ago, because no one can ever fight their feelings for their first love dude. Than to get rid of Kane well we'll just have to do it the same way we took care of all the other guys who thought they could stare at what's ours. Hell they never found them either." Tristan said with a smile. "Well than I guess we got a plan." Jason said smirking reading over Marie's feed as she called out everyone basically in town and blocked everyone. This will be easy if Lexy can get to hr phone and make texts to his phone form hers and how she's making contact things will so easier spring break is far away but damn will this be a long wait looking at the way anger flowing through her words as she told some people off. Shaking his head his woman has had a bad mouth he will have to remind her how to act again when she came back home.

The day went by well she still couldn't believe how Jason thought he could just pick up the phone and call her like it was a game. Ricki and Marie went to get coffee and talked about it on the way to work. Once she got to the office she vented to Dylan, he pulled out his phone and aske Colt to come over with whatever they can do about the problem from here. He told him he already had the recordings and added it to her file. He was already arguing with the uniforms down there about picking him up for breaking the order. They are pushing or a fine and slap on the wrist. Which is not going well. They are going to be sending a uniform out to inform his boss he needs to be suspended for awhile if they are refusing to pick him up since he is in law enforcement and he is breaking the same law he was sworn to protect. SO by the end of today he will be suspended for further notice without pay so far that's all Colt can get done until he makes another move. Dylan has informed her. "Ok well that's still something. It's actually comforting to know he has to give up something he loves for awhile. Maybe he can use that time to get some professional help." "That actually was a required part of the agreement he has to check in with a probation officer and the therapist has to send in progress of his progress with the courts and offices down here. This town and hell even state does not play with this kind of thing. This is not a joke he will not be able to just walk away with slap on the wrist here. If he and the uniforms do not comply with the orders set forth from here than he will have a warrant out for his arrest to spend jail time here losing his job in the process. He won't have anything but his family and friends by the time he gets back because he has to be a few hours away from any way shape or form of having contact with you."

She is agreeing to whatever you told her to and can't wait to come down for the wedding she will just come down with Kayla, and she won't talk to know one about you. SH eis fine and well and just started seeing someone new so she's waiting to see how it will go and she is happy for you and wants to come down in spring break in a few weeks to catch up. It hurt her feelings this time you've been gone and just really wants to see you and make sure you are ok." Kane said looking at her. "Its ok honey you can read what I wrote her. I'm so excited to hear from her she is by far the sweetest person in the whole world." Marie said. "I LOVED HER! She was just so cute you could just put her in your little pocket that girl had not one mean or rude bone in her body. She was so wholesome a true lamb in a city of snakes. I cant wait to see her for spring break I wonder who she's seeing? I mean the circles around there are big in small ways. She spent so much time with Kayla you don't think she is still hung up Thompson right?" Ricki asked raising an eyebrow. "I know they were into each other before but I didn't think about I mean she is working for Eric so you know what maybe she is." I mean remember how gullible she was, her heart is worn right there on her sleeve she doesn't know when people are lying to her." Marie said talking to Ricki. "She always did want it to be us four in the end however she mainly just wanted everyone to be happy if she knew the truth she would quit her job and transfer somewhere else. Only if she is not with Eric. If she is infact finally with him than he already has her mind warped into thinking it's all your oms faut like everyone else." "If she's with Eric than I know she's safe he won' t hurt her, and if I cut her off than Jason would have no use for her. Maybe I should tell her and Kayla I changed my mind and not talk to them period anymore so they can be happy with the Eric and Tristan they maybe pieces of shit but they are finally happy getting what they want." Marie said to Ricki who was nodding his head. "I think that's best no matter how much it'll sting it's the smartest move to make and we want everyone to be happy and safe in the end. I think this a move we need to do." Ricki said hugging her. "What do you guys think?" Ricki asked. I hate to say it baby girl but I think that cutting them all off is the best move to make. If you are ever to truly move on I think the best way would be to cut everyone off no one helped you they all saw what you looked like everyone saw the signs and they did nothing you owe no one there anything. It's best to cut everyone off like dead branches on a tree and finally help yourself to grow." Kane said hugging her tightly to him. "You're right I know you're right. Ok I 'm going to do it now, and just get over with . You guys please start without me. Here is all the food. It's just something I need to do. Adam walked in waving at everyone. They all went to sit at the table while she walked into the next room putting the phone on speaker so they guys could still hear she knew they'd be a little nosey and she didn't want to have to replay the whole conversation for Ricki. Marie held the call button over her phone to Lexy. "Hello." "Hi Lex, how you been?" "Oh my god Marie how are you I'm fine I'm actually just waiting for my boyfriend to come get me at the office." "That's great crunching in those hards hours. I told you, you were the best. I hope this mystery guy knows what he's getting into with someone as wonderful as you." "You have always been one with words Marie I miss that so much on the days when I felt so low. I miss you so much. So I heard about things with your mom. I am so sorry Marie this is all my fault I'm so sorry I never helped you. I feel like it's all of our fault for no one ever doing anything. I am just so sorry I don't even know how I could make up for not helping you or ignoring the signs. I should have done something I swear if I would have know I would have helped you I swear Marie." "Lexy yes my mom did abuse me a little, but it was Jason who beat the crap out of me it was Jason who put in the hospitals multiples times over and over. You can even go back and check the records. It was Jason and his parents who made the cops not help me they own them and the city you know this that's why no one helped me, or believed me, they knew if they tried they would lose everything. I ran away from everything but mainly because I was scared if I was to stay there not only would I be forced to marry that monster and he would probably either rape me to carry his demon off spring or end up just killing me. I was literally scared for my life or any life I would have been forced to carry. I'm sorry I left you with out a word or told you any of this but that's the truth. I know how much you were basically in love with Eric and Eric knew the whole time. SO did Tristan. Not Kayla but knowing now that she is with Tristan I know she' happy but I can't be apart of any of that. I can't have contact with her knowing she's cuddling up to just another person to help that monster. Look Lexy I know how you and Eric feel about each other . Iknow you two make each other happy and I know that he is the boyfriend you are waiting on. So I just called to tell you how much I loved you and our times together what an amazing person you are I wish you nothing but happiness but I will no longer talk or reach to you or anyone else from that city. I am moving on with my life and I am finally truly happy and I don't need my past or any reminders holding me back form moving on and staying happy and I know if I accept you I would have to accept Eric to and I won't do that and I'll never ask you to choose. We can go through therapy I already have Jason taking classes with the best doctor in the city he loves you so much. Marie he is just a destroyed wreck it's so heart breaking to see. Please." Lexy sad crying on the phone heart broke over her one of her best friends never coming home. I wish you the best but I will never come back home. My mom did not twit my mind go look at the records its her signing me out of hospitals because they feared my safety with Jason. I was there I know what happened and you are such an amazing person that Jason and Eric turned your head with lies because they just couldn't hurt you with the truth. I'm never coming home. If you really want to help me and Jason help him move on and realize that he needs to be with someone else. It will never be me. Also this wasn't Kane's idea he has plenty of space for you here to come see me. Marie said as she hung up and blocked her right away so she couldn't call back nor could Kayla. Tears rolling off her cheeks she got up went in the quiete kitchen and washed her face and dried it. "So how is Adam how you been?" Marie asked sitting on Kanes right side. "Well I was on my way back to my room over there at the hands bunker and smelled something amazing and thought I'm sure my angel misses me putting up with these lugs so I came to ease your suffering." Adam said with a smirk earning a glare from everyone else. "Oh look at that well thank you my savior." Marie said laughing harder than she meant to but he was funny. "Wow thanks for the love babe." Kane said holding his hand over hers. "Oh you know love you baby." Marie purred back. Making him smile from ear to ear knowing how hard her day has been he just loved that smile and laugh upon her, it brought the true beauty of her natural sweet heart. Looking at the table full of friends and laughter this is just what she needed today. Tank has already told Caleb what happened while she was on the phone no doubt he'll be here tomorrow to cuddle her down. He is almost as protective as he was himself; however he was thankful for that it really helped Marie in the long run to know that there really was at least one parent who truly cared for her. That wasn't his parents or Ricki's of course. The invites have been sent out the day has been set. Maybe tomorrow they can call about flowers and cake. They had the chairs and they can get the table covers and center pieces a month before. So maybe he could distract her with something fun and some planning maybe the guys would like to meet up and go bowling after wards and just give her a nice fun day and a relaxing Sunday with the folks. She deserves it after this day. "I can hear your mind working." She said to him. "I was thinking of maybe picking out our flowers tomorrow and making a cake testing appointment for later and than maybe if all the guys were down w could go bowling again or minigolf?" "Bowling" they all said. "I'll text Ace and he'll tell the rest." Tank said. "Great. Thank you baby." Marie aid leaning to kiss him deeply. She knew he was only doing this for her, she loved him even more for that. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for her. "Thank you my love you always make everything better. As soon as everyone leaves, and I'll thank you properly." She purred. "Get out." Kane growled to everyone as the just laughed finishing their plates.

Lexy was still staring at her phone in shock and tears. She really just ended my friendship because I am in love with Eric she thought. That is not like Marie you have to do something unforgiveable by god himself for Marie to completely hate you that much to not be able to even look at you and she's disappeared for three years. No contact with Jason for three years. If she truly loved Jason as she thought she did scared of her mother or not she would have reached out in some way shape or form at least once a year right? Did Jason really hurt her friend? Did they really just use her by filling her mind with lies? No, they didn't because she came to all those conclusions herself. They didn't tell her anything she told them. What if he did hurt her and what if Eric did know. How could he not help her, that doesn't sound like her Eric. She was so confused. Her heart wants to believe them both but one is lying and if Jason is lying than is Eric really in love with her, or are they just using her to lure Marie back to clear all there name. She had a lot digging she needed to do privately. "Hey baby there you are I was getting nervous you left without me." Eric said with an honest smile. Holding her close to him. "I already called my parents they're almost as excited as I am so how about we get an engagement party going next week and start working on a date how about a spring wedding it's got all the pastel colors you love. Your favorite flower is in bloom and it's not too cold or hot so your older relatives will be able to enjoy it without risking any of their health. You can wear one of those strapless dress you like an dcan still be long enough to cover your legs without looking like a sweaty cupcake." Eric said chuckling. "I can't believe you remember all of that. We haven't talked or joked about that in like four years." "I remember everything that comes out of your mouth Lex you mean the world to me." Eric said kissing her deeply. There's no way this man could have known anything Jason might have done to her friend she though to herself better keep this all on me. "Have you been crying?" He asked getting concerned. "Oh um ya.
