You again?!

We arrive 35 minutes later at my mother's house.

I give Betty a huge kiss on the cheek before letting her go.

-See you tomorrow!, I yelled at him in the distance

-Yeah see you tomorrow!, she replied in a soft voice

I wait to see his car drive away before continuing to walk to my mother's house.

I open the gate and ring the doorbell. A few minutes pass before the door opens.

-My darling!, my mother was surprised, very happy, taking me in her arms.

-How are you?, I said to him, also happy

-I miss you a lot, my mother said to me

She let me in and closed the door behind me.

-But I came to visit you a few days ago, I replied amusedly

-It's true but in my mind it's as if we still lived together, she said to me, sighing.

-It's normal, it takes time for your brain to assimilate the fact that I'm no longer here, I replied.

-You're right, my mother said to me before immediately moving on to another subject, do you want to eat or drink something?

-No, it's okay, I ate and drank before coming, I replied, shaking my head, how was your day?

-As usual I try not to stay at home too much so I go for walks, I do sports and I go to visit my neighbors, my mother tells me, in fact your grandmother called me

-What did she tell you?, I asked her

-As usual she complains about her back problems but doesn't take her medication, my mother sighed, on top of that she would like to organize a family dinner

-Good idea, it's been a long time since we last saw the whole family together, I said to her in an excited tone, does she have a date in mind?

-No, not yet, my mother replied, but I knew you were going to be very happy with this news.

-You really know me by heart, I said to him, rubbing my eyes, tiredness starting to make itself felt.

-You look very tired to me, she said to me, caressing my face.

-A little, I replied, yawning.

-Go take a little nap upstairs, my mother advised me

I nodded before taking the stairs to go upstairs. My mother, although I don't live with her, has always left me a room so that I can sleep if I come to her house.

I open my bedroom door and close it behind me. I take off my shoes and place them by my door before throwing myself onto my bed before crawling under my duvet. As always after my busy days I needed a good restorative rest.

I close my eyes and slowly begin to fall asleep.

The day after

When I wake up, it's the next day. Daylight illuminates my room.

Oh no I think Betty must have tried to call him on my phone but I forgot him at home, I thought, tapping my forehead gently.

I quickly get up from my bed. I take the quickest shower possible before brushing my teeth and then washing my face.

I then leave my bathroom to put on my shoes before rushing out of my room.

I rush down the stairs. I see my mother drinking her coffee.

-If I would have known I would have woken you up my darling, my mother said to me in a sorry tone seeing me running in all directions

-No, don't worry, mom, it's me who forgot to warn you, I reassured her, I'll come back in a few days to visit you

-Don't forget to take a mask and sunglasses if you go out, my mother reminded me

The vagaries of fame. Fortunately my mother always remembered to leave masks and sunglasses for me in the living room.

I took them and put first my mask then the sunglasses on my face.

She smiled at me before telling me to hurry up and leave. So I go out quickly hoping to take an Uber for the moment.

I sigh in despair, how was I going to do my phone was at home.

Fortunately a young teenager was sitting on a bench next to me. So I headed towards her.

-Hello, can I borrow your phone? I forgot mine at home, I asked him

-Yes, no worries, she said to me, handing me her phone.

I call Betty who answers quickly.

-Hello who is it?, asked Betty coldly

-It's me, I answered him

-Daisy, why are you calling me on an unknown number?! No, in short, forget it, we don't have time for questions, we're all waiting for you at the Arthémise company, Betty quickly explained to me before hanging up.

I look at the phone in my hand for a few seconds without moving before turning to the teenager.

-Thank you for lending me your phone, I said to him, giving him back his phone.

-You're welcome, no worries, she replied.

How am I going to get to Arthémise?!, I thought, sighing

I sit on the bench in disappointment, watching the cars come and go along the road.

-Can I help you?, the teenager asked me when she saw me upset.

-Thank you, that's nice but it's okay, I replied in a grateful tone.

The wind is blowing and I see no other solution than to go back to my mother's house to call an Uber. I look at the sky then sigh. The morning started well.

-Daisy!, someone called me

The teenager turns to me, her eyes sparkling with disbelief.

-Are you Daisy the model?, she asks me before taking out a paper and a pen, can I have an autograph?

-Yes, no worries, I replied, signing his piece of paper.

I observe Hayden waving at me, I look at him in surprise, not expecting him to be there parked on the sidewalk.

-Come on, get in, Hayden quickly said to me from his car.

I get up from the bench and walk towards his car.

-Thank you, the young teenager shouts to me

-You're welcome, I replied.

Arriving at Hayden's level, I raise a curious eyebrow.

-What are you doing here? I asked him, still surprised.

-Betty asked me to come pick you up, he said, smiling at me.

I get into the car and take a seat in the back before closing the door. I feel a presence next to me, so I turn my head.

-We'll see each other again, Caesar smiles

-I suppose it's your car if you're here?, I asked him

-That's it and Hayden asked me if we could come pick you up and drop you off, Caesar explained to me

-Thank you for agreeing to come pick me up, I replied, looking him straight in the eyes.

-I have the impression that you have a preconceived opinion about me, he said to me suddenly

-It's not just an impression, I replied.

-And could I know why you have such a negative opinion about me?, he asked curiously

-The fact that you show up as Hayden's cousin when he never spoke to us about you, I said to him perplexed, and the fact that your eyes are as black as the colors of the abyss I would say

-I see, you judge me on what you see, he said to me, staring straight into my eyes.

His gaze unsettled me, so I looked away.

-I'm not one to judge people by their appearance but I guess you're the exception, I replied, shrugging my shoulders.

-If Hayden didn't tell you about me it's because I asked him not to, he explained to me in his deep voice.

-And why shouldn't he tell us about you?

-Because I made enemies and they could put you in danger, he told me

-Could they kill us?, I asked him as a joke

He came close to my ear and whispered a few words.

-If they find you, they will do worse than that
