School Day

The next day…

Gasu enrolled Maru in a school, a preschool.

"Dad, what are we doing here? Isn't this place where you said I would never go because you need my help to get food?" Maru said.

"Yes but if you want to keep learning on what things are, then you need to come here and learn the simple things in life." Gasu replied to his son.

"Well ok dad, but if it's boring then I'm gonna meet you in the campsite. Deal?"

"Deal"

Maru made his way inside, turning back and waving his father goodbye.

Maru's gaze saw the inside of the school and it was amazing. Nice, polished wood floors were a satisfying sight to behold. But, this wasn't the kind of setting Maru was used to at all so, the interest didn't last long.

'Wowwwww…..this is boring.'

Quickly, he turned around and began to leave the building as a familiar voice called to him.

"Hey where do you think you're going?!"

His body froze and he slowly turned around, only to see the person who had called out to him was his own mother. Nervously, he started replying.

"O-Ohhh, hey mom. I was just going to the bathroom."

'Hehe, she'll buy it' he thought to himself.

"Well, the Bathroom ain't over there. It's to the left. Also, you're late for class. You should go ahead and hurry up."

"R-right." Maru replied.

After a couple minutes of faking going to the restroom, Maru found his classroom. He opened the door and the first thing he noticed were the many kids that sat inside. But, it wasn't the kids themselves that caught his eye, but rather, their heights. All of the kids were all shorter than him.

Realizing Maru's appearance, the teacher of the classroom walked over and greeted him.

"You must be our new student. Welcome. I am Ms. Jaeger."

She then shifted her gaze towards the rest of the class.

"Good Morning. Today we have a new student. Listen as he introduces himself."

Standing at the front of the class, Maru spoke.

"Hello everyone, my name is Maru. I'm seven years old. I like to hunt and kill animals….for food."

All the other kids were shocked as they weren't used to hearing about that sort of thing. The words of the other student were quiet as they all began whispering.

"H-he.. likes to kill animals??"

"Oh nooo. Poor animals."

"That's so mean."

Ms. Jaeger cleared her throat with a sudden cough.

"Okay, class. Settle down. Also, Maru, go ahead and take a seat with the rest."

Maru obeyed and sat onto the floor.

He saw and read all the words on the bored, the letters of the alphabet.

"A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z."

"So who taught you how to sing the alphabet? "says Ms. Jaeger."

My mom usually helps me talk, write and read but I came here because my dad says that I need to learn about animals and mostly things and what they do and mean. "says Maru.

"Well I think you need to go to 4 grade Maru that's where you can learn the things you need to learn for your whole life because they can be useful, ok then just find the class that has the number 357 ok Maru "says Ms. Jaeger.

After some time of walking around he finally see the room 357 with a door all busted up and not even put right into the doorway so he walks into a class with kids way older than Maru

"Umm what do you think your doing here this class is for 4 graders only "said the teacher. "But I'm in this class and one of the teachers said i need to be here cause I'm actually a 4th"Maru says.

Silence fills the room" Well then come in and take a seat at any table". The teacher says cheerfully.

He takes a seat and learns a lot of interesting stuff.
