Jase order the three mages to create a fire spell to wipe out the battlefield. The mages did not hesitate, they began to generate the fire spell that was forming above the battlefield. As the spell was becoming larger, a different mana flow appeared. This mana flow stalled the growth of the spell, this caused the mages to panic.
"City Lord Jase. The demons have a mage on their side, it is stalling the spell." First mage -Just a label not a title. -
"Can they stop the spell?" Jase responded.
"No, but our spell will not be big enough to destroy the whole battlefield." First mage
"Just continue, their mage probably cannot continue against three mages. His magic strength will weaken." Jase
About five minutes have passed and there was no weakening of the other mage. Just as the first mage was about to say something the mana flow broke.
This allowed the three mages to continue the spell, it only took a mere few seconds to finish.
"City Lord Jase it is ready." First mage.
"Do it. Cast it now, we can't wait any longer." Jase
The battlefield was consumed by the fire. Screams from both sides could be heard for a few minutes, but soon ceased.
The mages that casted the spell slumped to the ground, because they used a lot of magic essence to cast that spell for so long. The other soldiers looked on the battlefield; it was littered with corpses that could barely be even recognized. Many wanted to retrieve the bodies of the dead soldiers, to bring to a place to rest. The City Lords and commanding officers order them not to, this was not because they did deserve it. It was because if they brought them back the people would see that they were burned alive. It was a way to not lose face in the cities. After, a few days of staying to make sure that no demons would rise. The two armies went their separate ways leaving the destroyed battlefield.
City Lord Hemis arrived back at the city of Axefall with only a fraction of the soldiers he left with. The people of the city were devastated by the loss of their friends and loved ones. Then City Lord Hemis decided to inform the city about a partial truth.
"During our battle with the city of Falix, both sides were under attack by demons. In order to survive both sides joined forces to combatant the demons. When the sides turned in our favor the demons, cast a spell that turned both demons and humans to ash. Therefore, we were not able to retrieve your loved ones, but we should be proud of our soldiers they died with honor." Hemis turned and left after saying this.
Koa family heard the news and were only glad that they did not send either Axel or Brighton. They paid zero respects toward Koa, the only ones that were sad about Koa was Max and Samantha. They took the sword that they gave to Koa and buried it instead of a body.

After the bright flashing light, Koa was waking up in a grey look area there was no ground or any object to be seen. Koa even look at himself and saw he matched the grey area. After inspecting himself, Koa began to look around seeing only grey as far as he could. Then a flicker of color papered ion the distance and was moving closer to Koa. This color was a very dark red, that formed a sphere that almost emanated light. So, the sphere stopped about 6 feet away from Koa. It moved from left to right and encircled Koa. Then what startled Koa was a distorted voice could be heard.
"StRanGe hoW dId onE of YoUr kiNd gEt hErE." The Sphere.
'What do you mean my kind? Where the fuck am I?' Koa tried to speak but he could only say it in his head.
"AhH. As I tHouGht yoUr kInd is tO weAk to Be abLe to sPeAk hEar. SiNce yOu caN aT leAst moVe yOur nEck I wiLl ask yoU siMplE qUesTiOns." The Sphere
"Do you wonder where you are? Nod for yes and shake for no." The sphere.

Koa looked at the sphere with confusion.

Koa just stared at Solus.
'Why would I want to go to back to a world where I was treated as a piece of trash. Where the strong strive and the weak wither. People betray you at a flip of a coin, basically making you alone.' Koa thought.
