Chapter 32

Ali took Koa's adventurer's card and began to copy it, for the mission.

"Alright Satair Collection mission has been accepted. When you are ready to turn it in just come back, and your duration to turn in is three days. After three days the mission will no longer be accepted and would be printed out as a failure." Ali spoke with the usual context of a receptionist.

"Yes. Thank you." Koa replied as he started to leave.

Once Koa had finally left the building a creepy smile formed on Ali's face. This smile made almost all the Adventurers have shivers sent down their spines.

'I can't wait till I get to have a break. I wonder who this person is to Lily, and I wonder how she will react when I tell her.' Ali thoughts

The Forest of Nal

Koa was walking at a fast pace, but he suddenly felt as if he has been stalked by a ravenous beast. When he turned his head to look at his surrounding he saw no movements or signs that he has been followed. He narrowed his eyes as if thinking that it was just his imagination. Choosing to ignore the bad feeling that he had, Koa continued into the forest towards the area where Satair flowers grow.

Along the way into the forest Koa discover some crisscross marks on a tree.

"Hm. That's familiar." Koa said as he began to remember the territory marks.

The territory mark that was represented on the tree were Kobolds. The time Koa had fought the Kobolds he was under the affect of hunger, so the best thing he had remembered was the taste more than the battle. The memory wasn't pleasant, but it did serve as a useful example of what he would see when is going to fight them. Most of the Kobolds use spear and usually they are primitive spears. The only ones that don't have primitive spears are the elites that kill Adventurer's and take their weapons.

"Alright there might be more elites here because of the city that are nearby, but it shouldn't to much of a problem." Koa said.

After deciding Koa walked passed the marking to get the Satair flowers before he would go killing the Kobolds.

The Forest of Nal; Kobold's encampment.

A group of five Adventurers fighting against the Kobolds. The group was well accustomed to fighting with one another, so they were killing the Kobolds at an easy pace. That was until an elite came to the side of their formation.

"Keep the formation we can't let them get to the priest." A deep but feminine voice was heard.

"Don't worry they are weaklings, swinging a stone spear. I can beat them with my eyes closed." A male voice was heard.

"AAhhhhh." A scream was heard.

As soon as the scream was heard, the group saw one of the adventurers on the side of their five-man formation kneeling on the group. They were penetrated by a spear that wasn't like the other Kobolds they were fighting. A few seconds after he was slump to the ground; Kobold with a slash over its left eye was seen. It look was menacing, but the female adventurer that was the leader recovered from her shock.

"Back off and regroup. This one is different from the rest." She spoke.

All the members, soon regrouped and was ready to fight again. There was a slight ting of fear in their hearts. Their friend and member died before they could even help him.

"Mindy I don't think that we can win this without Kjay, he was our be shield guardian." The man the previously spoke.

"I know Sarr, but we need to find away to escape." Mindy replied.

"Paige look for an opening while we are fighting." Mindy said.

"Okay." Paige, the priest, said with a shaky voice.

Three adventurers that were not the priest was busy fighting as she was looking for an opening for them to escape. From the look of the surrounding was rather bleak to be honest. Their goup had decided to go straight into the middle of the encampment think it would be easy for them.

"Mindy they are surrounding us on all sides I don't know if we get a chance to escape." Paige said as if she was going to cry.

"Just keep looking don't give up hope they has to be a chance." Mindy.

"Mindy we can't keep this up. We are getting weak by the moment." Sarr.

"Sarr on your back!" The last member said with deep voice.

Before he could turn around a spear pierced through his abdomen. As soon as that happened Mindy killed the Kobold that stabbed him.

"Damn it. Paige heal him as best as you can. Jak lets buy them some time." Mindy.

"Sure thing." Jak

The sounds of fighting and groans from Sarr was definitive in the area. Just as the group was going to get over ran from the Kobolds; a solid black staggered walk appeared in front of the group. They were surprised, but they just thought that it was the perfect chance to leave. Not looking back, they picked Sarr's body up and began to make there escape. When they were a great amount of distance between them and the Kobold settlement; a figure emerged from the trees walking towards the Kobolds.

The figure was Koa he used his new temporary skill Solid Refraction to help the group of Adventurers.

"The work better than I thought; but it is not made to tank multiple targets." Koa said as the Solid Refraction shattered under the constant attack of Kobolds.

When the Skill was destroyed the only figure that was revealed before the Kobolds was Koa. The Kobolds were threw into a rage see that their prey had escaped. They charged straight at Koa without waiting for a thought.

"Looks like they didn't like those people escaping, but I might as well profit from it. They may not taste good, but I need the stats." Koa
