Episode 17

Days has passed and today is Ji-yoo's birthday. For the past week, Jungwoo got so jealous of Min-ji and Daehan. Though he knows that they are just friends, but Jungwoo starts to have a feeling that Daehan likes Min-ji. Min-ji told Jungwoo that he's already in a relationship with someone, but even so Jungwoo still doesn't believe her cause she texts Daehan 24/7 making Jungwoo a bit anxious and jealous of Daehan. Min-ji even mention him and talked about him when he's with her. Jungwoo even caught them hanging out together when Jungwoo was going home late at night. He acted as if he wasn't jealous or mad at Min-ji cause he doesn't want to make a fuss about it especially cause it was just a week to Ji-yoo's birthday and of cores Ji-yoo wants Jungwoo to celebrate his birthday with Min-ji. Ji-yoo finally found out about Min-ji and Daehan since sometimes he goes to Min-ji's house with another women, that was Daehan's wife. Jungwoo didn't know that he has a wife so that's why he's so jealous. But turns out, Daehan and his wife, her name is Aera, the both of them used to be friends with Min-ji in their high school years. Min-ji knew that they were going to marry each other in the future or not at least dating each other cause they really looked like a couple when they are together and Min-ji just felt like a third-wheeler. Min-ji invited Daehan and Aera to Ji-yoo's birthday since they are also close to Ji-yoo and Ji-yoo likes them to. Min-ji wanted to invite some of Ji-yoo's friends but he said that he doesn't have any friends and the only friend that he have is Jungwoo, Daehan, and Aera which made Min-ji a bit sad. But she tried to act as if she's fine cause she doesn't want Ji-yoo to worry about her.

Jungwoo is walking to Min-ji's house that's not that far from his house. He bought the stuff that Min-ji told him to buy to cook some food and decorate the house. She told Jungwoo that Daehan was going to come to the party which made Jungwoo a bit pissed off but he just agreed anyways since it's not his birthday. Ji-yoo was already at Hyujin's house. Right when his school bell rang for all the students to come home, Ji-yoo saw Hyujin waiting for him to pick him up and bring him to his house. Jungwoo finally arrived at Min-ji's house and he rang the bell. Min-ji rushed to the door and saw Jungwoo at the door. She smiled but when Jungwoo looked back, he saw that Daehan was walking to her. He rolled his eyes and walked inside Min-ji's house without greeting her making Min-ji a bit confused for his sudden act of coldness but she just shrugged it off thinking that he's just in a bad mood cause of work. "Hi" Daehan said but Jungwoo just walked pass him too. Daehan looked at Min-ji in confusion and Min-ji shrugged her shoulders telling Daehan that she doesn't know why he's like that. "Are we making the cake or not?" Jungwoo said putting the stuff that he bought earlier on the kitchen counter without even looking at Min-ji and Daehan. "Um...yea, you guys can go decorate the house. I'll prepare the rest." Min-ji said. Daehan looked at Jungwoo and smiled but Jungwoo just rolled his eyes, get the decorations that he bought earlier to then walks pass by Daehan again to the living room to decorate the living room while Daehan was just standing there in disbelief. "Um... just go and help him out" Min-ji said. Daehan nodded and followed Jungwoo who's walking to the living room. They both decorated the living room in silence not letting out any words out of their mouths and Min-ji didn't really know that it was that quiet since she turned on some music cause she doesn't like cooking in silence. There was only sounds of paper being ripped and tape being used and cut off which made Daehan a bit uncomfortable.

After they were done decorating the living room, Jungwoo took all of the decorations and walked to Ji-yoo's bedroom to decorate his room to. He just grabbed all the decorations out of Daehan's hands making Daehan puzzled. He didn't even tell or talked to Daehan that he was going upstairs to Ji-yoo's room. But Daehan just followed Jungwoo to help him out. They were both in Ji-yoo's room and Daehan closed the door. "Um.. i can help you with that" Daehan said trying to make small talk so it's not awkward. Jungwoo didn't answer him and just started decorating Ji-yoo's room. "Hey, what's wrong? Why are you suddenly acting so cold? It's not like you to do this" Daehan said. "What do you know? You haven't even talked to me as long as Min-ji" Jungwoo said. "Yea, but you are always cheerful on screen and with Ji-yoo and now-" before Daehan could say anything Jungwoo cut him off. "I sometimes act differently on and off camera and i'm only acting cold like this cause i'm annoyed." Jungwoo said. "Why are you annoyed?" Daehan asked. Jungwoo dropped the scissors making Daehan flinched a bit since Jungwoo just slam it on the floor. "You like Min-ji huh?" Jungwoo asked. Daehan chuckled and looked at Jungwoo while smiling. "Jungwoo, is this why you're so cold and annoyed? Because you think that i like Min-ji?" Daehan asked. "Who wouldn't? She's pretty and nice, she's also a good friend. In fact you guys are so close to each other that i just feel like a third-wheeler." Jungwoo said. "You are not wrong when you said those things about her. But i don't have any feelings for her. We're only friends. In fact, i'm married." Daehan said showing Jungwoo his weeding ring. Jungwoo looked at it and his eyes opened wide. "In fact, she doesn't like me, she likes someone else. And since it's also almost his birthday, she asked me to assist her at shopping and stuff cause i'm a boy." Daehan said. "You know who she likes?" Jungwoo asked. "For god sake, it's you Jungwoo!" Daehan said then after he realized what he said, he closed his mouth right away. Jungwoo looked at Daehan with both of his eyes wide open. "S-she likes me?" Jungwoo asked. "Shhhhh! I promised Min-ji that i will never tell the person or you that she likes you cause she wants to keep it a secret" Daehan said while lowering down his voice. "She likes me?" Jungwoo asked again. "Well duh! How come you don't know at all? Isn't it too obvious?" Daehan said. "Well no! Why am i even asking you if it's obvious!" Jungwoo said lowering down his voice too. "I'm begging you please don't tell Min-ji, she'll kill me if she find out" Daehan said. "Okay, okay, i won't tell her. At least i know that you don't like her" Jungwoo said. Daehan smiled at Jungwoo and Jungwoo started at Daehan. "W-what?" Jungwoo asked nervously. "You like her too huh?" Daehan asked with a smile. "N-no" Jungwoo said. "C'mon tell me the truth, you like her huh?" Daehan asked walking closer to Jungwoo. "Okay okay, i like her now just shut up!" Jungwoo said and Daehan laughed and nodded at Jungwoo.

All of the preparations was done. The cake and other food was made and Aera went to Min-ji house just in time before Ji-yoo goes back home. Jungwoo and Daehan started acting nice to each other and Jungwoo also stopped acting cold towards Min-ji. He talked a bit to Aera and they were waiting for Ji-yoo to come home with Hyujin. When Ji-yoo got in his house and walked to the living room, all of them surprised Ji-yoo and Ji-yoo just laughed. He was happy that some people can come to his birthday party even though all of them are grown ups. Jungwoo was playing a game with Ji-yoo and after that Ji-yoo blowed out the candles of the cake and ate some of the cake then opens his presents. The party went pretty well and everyone left accept for Jungwoo. Min-ji put Ji-yoo to sleep then walked to Jungwoo and sat beside him. "Hey" Min-ji said. "Hi" Jungwoo said. "Why were you in a bad mood last time?" Min-ji asked. "I, i was just stressed out about work and stuff" Jungwoo said. Min-ji nodded then leaned her head on Jungwoo's shoulders making Jungwoo's heart pounding. "You should've told me earlier, i was so confused about your sudden coldness" Min-ji said and then she pouted. "It's okay, at least you know now" Jungwoo sadi patting her shoulder. Min-ji just stayed in that position cause Jungwoo was so warm and it was normal since they were friends. They talked to each other happily while joking around. Jungwoo eventually had to leave since he needed to get some rest and the day ended fine for everyone.
