Chapter 2

The Dream SMP is beautiful, houses of different styles and sizes are scattered amongst the hills. Some houses are abandoned, some teeming with life and some look as though they have been damaged by past conflict. A wooden path winds through the houses, linking everyone together whether they like it or not.

I adjust my beanie and then dig my fingers into the dirt. It's warm, the sun that's now setting has been warming it and the grass that lives on it. The trees, bushes and grass grow under the sun in the sky and I am but a person who lives within it.

I look over to my right, to Eret. He's a kind man, very accepting. He dons a thick pair of sunglasses, completely blacked out, to hide something or to protect us I'm not sure. He also wears black, so the cape attached to his back stands out. The cape has three thick stripes, one pink, one blue and the other purple, a symbol of pride.

"How are you?" Eret drawls, deep voice floating effortlessly through the air. I think,

"How do you feel about this place?" I ask, ignoring his past question. I want to know where Eret stands and if I can trust him.

"It's gorgeous." He responds, smiling slightly. The reply fans the flame inside of me, the hope within and a plan begin to form. I nod and blow out a breath that I had been holding.

I look back at the Dream SMP's landscape, admiring a beautiful piece of land, with a little lake and an old van left by someone long ago.
