Time without limits: chapter 1

In the town of Manchester, Vermont, there were two young girls named Mildred (Millie) Alveda Kimball and Katherine (Kitty) Lavanta Hathaway. Millie was an incredible painter, and Kitty excelled at writing. They were best friends, and nothing could separate them. At midnight they would sneak out to their favourite hideout in the woods, and discuss their dreams and goals. Millie always brought the cookies, and Kitty brought the tea, and in their little fort, they would write in their journals and talk about their dream man.

During the day, they would sit by the stream and play in the fields. When they were finished, they would write poems and stories, some of which brought out their deepest desires. One poem in particular that they wrote together went like this,

Each time I close my eyes, I see a man who is tender and sweet.

His heart is as pure as a summer breeze, and his face glows with

A sort of beauty that is beyond anything I have seen before.

I see myself walking by his side, and sitting by the river, sipping

Tea and discussing poetry.

Oh how I long for a man who would take my hand and waltz

With me down a pathway of white marble squares. Every

time I open my eyes, my heart aches with a dream that

Has not yet shown its face to me.

After they wrote it, they couldn't help but giggle, as young girls often do.
