Chapter 3 jack

Wile Mac was saying goodbye to his gaming friends, Sam was unpacking her bags at her Grandma June's apartment. " Smera dear, your mother would like to know if you called the school yet." June's voice was clear and non-threatening."I can't call the school, I send a message before summer besides, I did that before I even asked you if I could stay..." Smera hesitated. "Oh! I know that. come lose a game of chess against me, you know you can't win." June's voice was so sure and sarcastic. "Grandma!"

Two days later...

'For the first time, we have a lot of new students this year! Enjoy your first day, and let me be the first to say welcome or welcome back to Commit High!'

The Principal's almost usual invitation, back or to the school.

From his spot on the floor Mac could tell this was not going to be a few short months, as he quickly realized no one, and I mean absolutely nobody had a phone or any tech.

During the third period, in the library:

"Hey! um... you're a new right, I'm Jack..." A rather jock like boy walked up to the book coved table. "Oh, yeah I'm new. Sorry, but I was in the middle of this." Sam nodded at a huge stack of books, catching up on the history of the town by the looks of it. Jack hesitated, what should I say next, the though bounced around in his head for what seemed like an eternity, till he finally blurted out, "Ummm, I can help you with that, if you, a if you like?" Sam looked up and smiled. She didn't know what to do, boys like this one usually only talked to her when they needed help with homework, never just to talk. He must be blind, really stupid, crazy, insane, or something is wrong upstairs. Boys like him don't talk to girls like me. This and a million other thoughts spun in her head at the speed of light, no the speed of sound, it wasn't faster then light, it couldn't be. But was it? "No offense, I bet you're really nice, it's just that..." She had no idea what else to say, even after the words came out of nowhere. "I know what you're doing." His voice cut through her thoughts faster then she could respond. "what?!" Was all she could muster. "you're new you want to know more about us, don't you? Every year we get one person like you, well not exactly like you, I mean, um, someone who actually care to learn something about this pace. Not that you didn't care it's just, anyway.

It was about, a, anyway it was a long time ago. All it took was one family, they hid in a cave, over there I think, ( Jack pointed near the town square) this inter town was in a cave at one point. Here is, who knows how many years later, a great town."

without even missing a beat Sam, found the town history, " 200. 200 years ago, give or take. It's right here." she pointed to the first page of chapter 23 of a really old history book, made up more of old tails then actual history. Then she read aloud, but not too loud. "200 years ago,

'Comet County was discovered in the twenty-first century, home to the beautiful 'Utsukushi-sa' which is Japanese and is ruffly translated to 'beauty'. The 'Utsukushi-sa' this a mostly white flower that changes color when picked, and changes according to the relationship of two people. The tips of these flower will change in these colors, according to the relations: Yellow (for friendship), pink (for a crush), light blue (for an engagement), Dark blue (from a parent to child), maroon (for marriage), and purple (for soul meats).'

Are you really serious? how can a flower change like that?" Sam was completely baffled. At this time a very curious Mac just happened to overhear and walk up to them at this point. "I couldn't help but overhear, but did you say that the Utsukushi-sa, is a real flower? Because that's imposable, it's a fake flower, made up by some computer techies..." Jack pumped up and almost yelled at Mac. " What! You are crazy, the Utsukushi-sa is a real flower. We have some on school grounds." His face was so red, he had no problem with Sam's curiosity, but when Mac blackly insulted the towns' one discovery, well he lost it.

"SHHHHHH!" A very angry librarian came from nowhere and scared all the pride out of Jack.

Jack informed Sam that all new students had to try out for all sports, not just the ones they wanted to play, but all of them.
