(Millions of years ago)
"I knew he'd send you fox," The Monkey king said smiling as he threw his staff on the ground.
The nine tailed fox smirked as well, though he was serious he still loved fighting The Monkey King, though their fights usually ended in a draw.
"The Jade Emperor is sending celestial afyer you… This may be our last fight," The fox said as The Monkey looked at him in confusion.
"Are you kidding? Even if they had the power to beat me… I'd still come back and fight you! Only a few are really a match for me so why wouldn't I come back?" Monkey asked before breathing in sharply, ready to fight.
'Monkey you are quite the weird one…' The Fox said before readying his stance as well.
*Whoosh!*
Before they did anything a huge silver and white rabbit stood in between them, it's large red eyes staring into each of the gods eyes; Almost as if daring them to move.
"What are you boys doing here? Didn't I tell you this place is off limits?" A woman's voice called out as the dust settled…
(Present)
"What the hell!?" Argen yelled as He fell out of the bubble thing that The Monkey King had teleported him away with.
Dust covered his rags as he stood up in the sunny plane of land, disoriented and not sure where he was.
"Not from around here are you?" Argen heard a soft voice of a woman, standing next to him In a silk dress.
Argen ignored her however and continued to look around at his surroundings; even camp half blood couldn't compare to the beautiful scene he was looking at right now.
The woman's expression slowly started to get less and less friendly the longer she was ignored, finally ending in a frown as she scowled at the ignorant boy.
"It's respectful to greet your elder-"," she spoke up, gaining his attention for a second as he analyzed her.
"You're an old lady? Wow, I thought you were my age," Argen said interrupting the woman and also shocking her.
"W-What did you just say!?" The woman asked, slightly flattered by his words. 'Do I look that young?' She thought as Argen stared at her blankly.
Argen was still young, barely thirteen; so he didn't really understand things about girls… yet.
"Hm? Anyway sorry…" Argen's words trailed off as he looked down next to him, grabbing a piece of papyrus on the ground and opening it.
Whatever was in it must have been what he needed to do to learn how to become a god.
Though, only a few seconds later was he disappointed as he read the three bolted letters from The Monkey King.
"PRANK THAT HOE!"
"…"
"What's that?" The woman from before asked looking over Argen's shoulder as the boy stood there with his hair covering his face.
"Really!?" He suddenly yelled throwing the paper to the side, having Asfalis tear it into a million pieces.
'Should I just try and find my own way?' He though, still ignoring the woman.
"Ohh… is this from Monkey? I didn't know he still sent kids to do pranks…" The woman said looking at the paper, still fully intact even though Asfalis had destroyed it.
"Huh?"
It was now the woman's turn to ignore Argen as she smiled, remembering the old days when she would watch Monkey and Fox fight for days.
"Seems he left the message on the back, kids are so quick to give u-" The woman, Chang'e; or the Chinese goddess of the moon; Stopped her words as Argen lunged at her.
He had two reasons for doing so; One, she knew The Monkey King; A bastard who had sent him to do some stupid prank instead of just helping him; And two, he assumed she was gonna take the paper that held what he needed to do on it; Which he just couldn't allow.
*Smack!*
Argen widened his eyes as he was buried into the dirt, the sound of his back getting hit by something large and heavy not going unnoticed.
Widening his eyes Argen quickly got back up? Not wanting to be stomped out by whoever had just taken him down.
"Oh good boy!" The woman's joyous yell made him stop in his tracks as he saw her hugging and patting a huge white rabbit.
The rabbit was glaring at him, only softening his gaze when he looked at the woman known as Chang'e.
"Grrr" Asfalis's low growl sounded out as the wolf surged out of the silver aura he usually stayed in.
At this point Asfalis had become its own being, able to make its own decisions without Argen giving orders or controlling him.
When this had happened a few weeks ago Argen thought he had lost his partner and now only friend; Thankfully he had nothing to worry about as Asfalis continued to stay by his side and remain protecting Him.
"Oh?" Chang'e said as Asfalis and the silver rabbit circled each other, both glaring at the other.
"Just give me that paper, I don't want your rabbit to die," Argen said standing up fully, relaxed now that he didn't have to worry about Chang'e's pet.
Chang'e simply smiled as Asfalis and The Silver Rabbit lunged at each other, Silver aura oozing out of each.
"See, I didn't think you had any moon properties, But now that I know… I want to keep you!" Chang'e yelled out as The Silver Rabbit grew hundreds of feet, Causing Asfalis to whimper as he disappeared back into Argen's aura.
Argen widened his eyes as he saw the animal, he had noticed something familiar about Chang'e, though he didn't expect her to be a moon goddess like his mother.
"So?" Chang'e asked leaning against the rabbit as Argen examined everything around him.
He wanted to finish Monkey's challenge and get the secret to becoming a god, not stuck as a moon goddesses pet for all of eternity.
Finally, Argen relaxed and looked straight at the goddess with a shy smile. "Sorry, but I think this is where I'll leave."
With these words Argen turned and sprinted faster than he had ever done before, silver aura boosting him beyond his limits as he flew through the tall forestry of whatever land he was in…
